*Fade into a dark and dirty pent house, abandoned. TV still playing* Sergio Ramirez is a world-renowned athlete. Four Gold medals, and Six consecutive wins in the Tour' de France. Still reported missing as of 5:37pm last Thursday, last seen in his apartment building. Police are offering a reward for any information leading to the athlete's whereabouts. *Camera pans down to a less than breathing Sergio, as life leaves his eyes. A purple and ominous light engulfs our hero.*
Suddenly he opens his pale blue eyes to see the Goddess of Wind-wing Spirits. Poking his legs.* "What the h*ll, cut that out. I'm not a plush. What do you want with me?" Sergio blankly states. "I'm hoping you could help me save my planet. I have a bet with the other Gods, and you're my champion." Lightly states the Goddess. "Wait a minute, you put a planet as a betting chip? What kind of Goddess are you?" Sergio states in a surprisingly loud tone. He gets up and backs away a little. "We don't have time for more explaining, let's see what your heart's desire is." *She engulfs Sergio with purple godly energy and a golden screen appears in front of her* "It only says that your desire was to become the fastest in the world on a bike. Nothing else?.... I don't know what a Bike is, but it sounds powerful. Good luck out there Hero."
*Sergio awakes, unable to move. A grass clearing, a forest, and silence. The only thing plain to see.... is that he is a Bike now* "I swear I will teach that Goddess a lesson. AND THAT'S A PROMISE!"
*After about twenty minutes of swearing and frustration. Sergio finally calms down and reassesses his situation* "What was my goal, to save the planet? That's vague as h*ll! Plus how am I supposed to save anyone when I can't even move. This is a bum deal. *A purple screen appears in front of him, reading* Champion Assistant Mechanism or C.A.M* "Welcome Hero, your goal is to gather points, complete missions, and stop the Dungeon of Fate from consuming the planet in Chaos." Robotically stating CAM
"That's all fine now, BUT HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO MOVE?!?" Prickly states Sergio. "For every kilometer you travel you gain a point. The points you gain can give you perks like the ability to move for a short time." Plainly states CAM "Wow, I have to pay to make my own journey. Pretty classy Goddess, Reeeeal classy." CAM begins "You start out with 12 points and can modify your attributes for better..." *Sergio interrupts * "Can I use my points to move right now?"..... CAM reluctantly agreed but before he can rebuff Sergio says "GO!" * And at blinding speed Sergio zooms off uncontrollably in a random direction. Before ramming right into a Goblin and his party* "Well that kind of worked" Dazedly says Sergio.
*The adrenaline is slowly fading, Sergio finally realizes his new surroundings. And the group of Goblins doesn't like their new company*" Hey, I'm sorry about our introduction. But maybe you could please forget about me slamming into you guys?"
*The Goblins look at each other, pause. And start stabbing his tires repeatedly* "Ahhhhhh!!" *Suddenly an orange burning fire engulfs the party of Goblins. Just as they stood the shadow of ash waft away as if never there. A powerful and stunning blonde woman walks out of the brush of the surrounding forest.*" I thought I heard a woman screaming, but the only thing here is a metal mess." She says aloud. *If the reflectors he had for eyes could cry, Sergio would be balling in tears.* "Easy experience and gold, I can't complain. It's time to go back to the village anyway." *The woman grabs the ragged gold pouches left by the Goblins and swiftly leaves* "Wait! Don't leave!" *Sergio pleads, but the woman was already too far to hear*
"So CAM did I get any points for that?" "No. You actually lost points getting here. Remember." CAM robotically states *Somehow sounding less interested than before.* "How am I supposed to pick myself up? With my bike chain?" Sergio sarcastically states. "If you had listened to what I was trying to tell you. I was saying that because you were starting out, I was going to give you a perk for cheap. You spent your points, so you figure it out as a noble hero." CAM snarkly replies. "Well..... FUUUH!"
*A day goes by and Sergio remains in the same spot as before. "So that's when she broke up with me for someone more handsome. Unfortunately that man was my mentor for the first Tour' de France." Sergio was retelling stories from his life while CAM sits, hanging off every word. *A rustling in the distance grows louder and louder until a small old woman pokes her head out of the leafs of the trees* "Hey come over here Gerant, I found something that looks interesting" The sweet old woman shouts out. "Yes Gran Resa, did you need some help?" A tall muscular man with a braided beard thunders over at the request. "Seems kinda weird and uncomfortable. I want it, could we please take it home with us?" Gerant pleads to Resa. "Fine, but you carry it. And if you break it don't be getting angry at me." Gran gently says. "I can carry the thing and the dead Maren. Gran you can count on me." Gerant proudly proclaims.
*The journey to the village is awkward as Sergio sits next to a smelly dead dear creature in the back of a wooden cart. Thinking to himself, Sergio hasn't decided on whether or not to reveal he can talk yet. He's just glad he's finally safe and away from more Goblins. Just as he starts to fall asleep the cart stops and Gerant appears to grab the Maren. Probably to get ready for dinner.
In the meantime Sergio went back to telling his life stories to a now fanboy CAM. "My rival Andrew had taken the Tour' de France right from under me. That was the day that I decided to take a break from the cycling scene. I had found out that the maid I had rejected had slowly started poisoning my food. I'm pretty sure that's when I started dying, and it led to this. *CAM's screen is crying loudly* "I'm sorry I was cold to you, I didn't know how hard it was for you to get here." CAM sadly states. "It's okay my robot friend. My main motto is to always look ahead, and propel yourself with your struggles." Sergio friendly says. *another day had passed before Gerant came back outside to move and fix the strange device*
"I'm gonna make this thing work, somehow. I just need to figure out what it does." Gerant says to himself. *Sergio tries not to laugh as the bearded man lifts him to a makeshift workbench* "I'll start with fixing this broken chain piece. I've already warmed the furnace at Fitro's house." *Gerant pulls the broken bike chain. Sergio cries to himself in pain, but never does aloud* "I'll be back, magic metal thing." *Gerant quickly disappears probably to go fix the chain* "I understand the need to fix me and get me working again. But that F•••ing hurt." Sergio says to CAM. "I'm sure that man knows what he's doing. Even if it doesn't work he could replace it with another one." CAM tries to calm a panicked Sergio, but he doesn't know how well it would work*
*Gerant reappears with the newly fixed chain. The broken section now forged back together with a new metal link.* "It took some time and a lot of effort, but now this should fit perfectly." *Gerant leans over and places the chain back into the spot it once was* "I had Fitro's sister bless it with magic to make sure that it won't break again. I really want to see what you can do little buddy." Gerant says as he readjusts the chain to fit better. "Get over here, I have something for you to do!" Gran Resa yells from a distance. "I'll be right there Gran! See you later, metal thing." *Gerant sprints away at the order*
"Did that give me anything CAM?" Sergio asks. "Yes. That gives you a durability upgrade, and a speed boost to your basic speed. Also, due to your direct influence on upgrading Gerant's Forging skill. You now have the appraisal ability to see other's levels and some attributes to a certain level." CAM replies. "I'm glad that I'm improving and my skills are progressing. Do I have the points to pick myself up now?" Sergio asks "No. only the skills previously stated." CAM says. "I hope Gerant comes back soon. I want to finally go exploring." Sergio says excitedly.
