"Yes. Indeed, you will be my heir. From now on, your name is Azure Rin. Come to me, my sweet daughter"

That is the conversations that we had when I first met my father Azure Ran at the orphanage.

My father was widely known as a tyrant. Putting that aside he is quiet handsome, and will be even more handsome if he isn't that indifferent.

A lot of people fears him and praised him because of both wealth and political power.

Although, I don't think that he is someone that should be feared, after all he is just a tsundere.

In fact he is a childish, gentle, caring and loving type of person. Thus, I am the only one who knows that personality of my father.

Not to mention but he doesn't look like my father at all because he is too young and he looks more like my brother. And sure thing, I can't tolerate his overprotectiveness.

For some reason I found out that my father is quiet strange. Every full moon, he always held a grand banquet and there are so many weird guests that I've never met before.

The atmosphere around them is not somewhat normal that it will even give you a chill in the bones once you walk pass through them.

Their presence is like out of the reach of this world. They all wear a strange masks, concealing their identity that makes the banquet to look like a masquerade.

Sometimes it even feels like they doesn't belong to this world. All this though keeps bothering me and I always distract myself thinking that maybe it's just my imagination even though I'm certain that they are all weirdo's.That is why I decided to investigate him.

Well I can't see anything that is strange about my father's action but I have a stong gut feeling that there is a matter that I should know of.

I even have the thought of asking him about those people but I don't have enough courage and it feels like I want to know it myself.

I continued to surveil him, not as if I don't trust him but it's time to reveal the truth. As my investigation continues, I heard a conversation on my father's room.

The voices were faint but I can still hear some words of their conversation. When I heard a woman talking it gives me a shock, after all, even though my father is good looking I've never seen him to have an interest in any of the woman who's fawning over him.

He doesn't even spare those ladies a single glance, I've even pity them trying so hard to seduce my father, so how come that there is a woman on his room in the middle of the night.

While I continued to listen, I opened the door silently to have a peek. If that woman is going to seduce my father, I'll definitely want to strangle her to death.

    "My Great Lord Azure Ran, please come back already, all the demons in our world needed your lead."

       "Our Demon Lord, I'm begging you, please don't abandon us, the royal family in our world is making their move to exterminate us, you are our only hope!"

       "Why would you even consider to live in this crappy world if you already have a great power to rule and lead your hundreds of thousands underlings?"

       Crappy world your ass, you doesn't even know the power of internet, nor the great importance of technologies, we are living in the modern era dumbass. That's what I thought when that woman is trying to pursue my father.

      Although, I can't understand anything that she's blabbering about, Demon Lord, Royal Family, Demons needing his lead, Great power to rule... well indeed my father has a great political power, but hundreds of thousands understandings?

     Huh? Hmm?, I can't quite get anything and my mind is in the brink of confusion. Is she an actress practicing her role with my father.

      Are the entertainment industry making a fantasy drama?. Is my father going to be the male lead in the show?. Forget it Rin, just guard your father from that nasty woman, I thought. As my mind wonders around, my father spoke,

      "I thought as if you can handle those matters Freya, I can't either abandon my daughter "

     "But my Lord, I'm not capable in handling the royal family, after all they carry a holly blood and their King is really unstoppable, also your daughter Rin Azure is already seventeen years old, she can handle her self", the woman answered.

       So this woman's name is Freya, I'm impressed that my father even knows your name. But I'm rather curious, I thought as if they are having a rehearsal for the show, but then why did she suddenly say my name in her line.

      This is intriguing, my beloved father please forgive me for listening to your conversation, my boredom keeps bothering me to meddle with your affairs.

"My Lord, you've been gone for almost 12 years from the day when you took the five years old Rin, now that she's already old enough to take care of herself, may you have mercy on us, and come back"

"If you're not sure about Rin's safety, you can take her back with us or send some high ranking demons to disguise as a humans to protect her, my Lord I begged you!

Freya's conversation with father's somewhat gives me a chill in the bones as if I'm watching an action fantasy drama that is turning into a horror film.

Wait did she just say Demons disguised as humans, are you kidding me!? Whatever did that woman just said, true or not, I will never want to be accompanied by demons. It's scary sob~sob~...

Are they even having a rehearsal for a show....but it feels so real, they are even serious....Also who would've want to have a rehearsal in the middle of the night. Daddy... I'm scared sob~sob~

Even though I can't understand anything, I still kept listening to their conversation, but not until when I saw Freya holding an unusual looking knife that she's trying to hid from my father's view,

the knife has a glowing red stone attached to it, although it doesn't look like powered by battery or electricity.

The stone seems that it is naturally emitting light, but I've never known as if there are such thing's in our world.

Not only that it emits light but by just looking at it gives me a sudden goose bumps.

Right now all I need to do is to focus on my senses just in case that Freya has an ill intention towards my father, after all she did some things that really annoys me,

Number one is sneaking into my father's bedroom in the middle of the night,

"ugh! what do you think you are, a succubus?"

Oh, not to mention, just a minute ago, your talking about demons disguised as human.

Number two is persuading my father to come with her and leave me,

"Didn't your parents teach you not to ruin other peoples lives". Ops, I remember, your not a human right?, so you aren't count as people.

And number three is now she's hiding a weird looking knife behind her,

"Are you trying to commit murder or either threaten my father?", you must be obsessed with him if so. Dream on, my father will only stay by my side.

As my thoughts are running wild, Freya spoke and she said,

"My Lord, please forgive me, even if you'll kill me a hundred or thousand times repeatedly in every reincarnation,

I'm willing to sacrifice my life over and over again for the sake of our kind, I'm willing to accept your punishment,

I hope you'll understand our feelings my Lord, you are the most powerful, unstoppable and highly respected Demon Lord that rivals the Royal's Blood King, our extinction is in your hands"

My father started to speak and turns his back on Freya, he said;

"Freya, you know that you are one of my most trusted servant but I will no longer go back in that realm, I have a daughter now and..."

As my father continues to speak, Freya, used that chance when my father's guard is down and rushed over, aiming the knife towards my father.

I didn't though of anything, and my body moves on its own. Gladly I'm just on time and used my body as a shield.

I felt an extreme pain on my stomach, that it feels like I was pierced by ten knifes, and my whole body felt so numb like a hundred needles was pricked on me, then my vision suddenly turns black.

I just closed my eyes and thought that being stabbed by a single knife won't hurt like this, but why does it feels like I'm living in hell, being tortured mercilessly.

I can hear my father's voice calling out my name but I'm feeling so cold that makes me not want to open my eyes , it's like I'm being pushed down in the cold and dark ocean floor.

Am I going to die?
