Chapter 1

in the library of the college my four friends were reading books for the project .

basically they are gathering information for our project , i don't like reading books in library because we are not allowed to make even a single noise because its library of coure .

you guys might be thinking what a wierd girl i know i know i am wierd. That is not a new thing , i heard that often from people.

by the way right now i am getting bored .

Hey , i said in a low voice to my friends as soon i said this , i heard someone saying shuttt upppp anddd let uss doo our workk , i agree said Ella .i am so annoyed with these girls , you know who .my fried Clare and Ella . But i am getting bored here . Are you kidding me they did n't even react to what i was saying . So i sat there for almost 30 mins . Actully i slept there then Luke woke me upand we went to our apartment . Erick left the place when i was sleeping .

wait don't get confused it's not that hard you will know us soon don't push yourself too much .

we are five friends and we live together in this 3 bhk apartment and we pay the rent altogether .this place is more than enough for us it has 3 rooms with bathroom attachedand a hall with an open kitchen , enough of the house tour .

Luke and Èric share a room Clare Ella and I share a room .oops I am such an airhead I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Naomi alright back to the description the third room is our study cum library.

After returning to our apartment Luke and Eric prepared dinner for us yes it's time for dinner its already dark outside.

There is another interesting fact about us when we met in the beginning of our college days we end up in this apartment because of our needs to reduce the amount of money we spend .we were strangers, and we used to fight a lot over household chores and to avoid those stupid fights.

My superb brain came to an idea, and we made a rule according to which on odd days boys cook the food and on even days girls cook the food. About cleaning there are no such rules we do it without fights.

Now it'ss time to do our dinner everyone is sitting in the hall and our dinner is all prepared let me tell you a secret Luke and Eric cook better than us,, but we will never accept the fact. After having our dinner we all went to our study we all have a secret you will know that soon don't worry.

We love historical books and the book we are reading right now is about an island an abandoned island there are a lot of myths about it but i know they are not myths we all know and we will find the truth.

Chapter 2

There are a lot of stories on the island, some people believe these stories are real some believe they are not. In our study we have this book that contains information about the island.

And it's called The solitary isle.

It has brown pages it is half damaged but still informative I got this book two years back. Actually I stole it from my grandpa house when I went to meet him for the last time, I found it in the store room behind an old shelf I took it because of its looks initially you know these kinds of books looks aesthetic.

But later on I found that it has something important in it. We are trying to decode it as it is written in different script after trying to do it for some time we went to sleep.

In our college next day our professor introduce our whole batch to a new student who has got transferred from the other branch of our college in the next city. Students this is your new fellow mate. Hey everyone my name is Mark, nice to meet you all, after that he sit on the front bench of middle row.

During our lunch break we all were wandering around when Ella heard our professor talking about the new boy. Mark has a good record in academics they were discussing something.

Guys do you known no of us is able to decode the book till don't you think we need a topper that can help us. You mean Mark huh good idea said Ella but why would he do that. Hmm? that's something to think about.

Luke said do you guys remember he has got transferred here from an another city he must be struggling to find accommodation, and he can stay up to three day in university property, we can offer him a place to live, sounds good.

Yes its perfect says everybody in sync. Then the rest of our day went just like that next day in the classroom.

We reached before time which was so unusual and on top of that we took the front seats of the classroom as we used to sit on the backbenches.

Few minutes later Mark arrived and as we have already planned we will put our hand forward for friendship.

Eric's POV~ ~ ~ ~ ~

I wave my hand as a gesture of greeting. At first, he thought it was for someone else, so he looked backward to conform then he also did the same, I signaled him to come here and sit next to me, he came towards us and sit next to Luke our benches are three seaters. So I, Luke and Mark we were sitting on the same bench. behind us Ella, Naomi, Clare were sitting.

As soon as he come and sit our history professor came and started teaching us it was a boring lecture .history is our favourate subject but our teacher is the worst teacher anyone can ever had .

Our period got over, and we got a notice that our archeology teacher will not attend the today he has some important work to do, which means it's our free period. Let's go to the cafeteria guys I need coffee after our boring class said Naomi.

We too need some fuel to bear all the remaining classes. Everyone started chuckling.

Naomi's POV~~~~~

I looked at him and said Mark do I know you. He said after a pause no but why you asked that question, no I felt lIke i have seen you somewhere before, Anyway leave it. Tell us something about yourself my parents live in the countryside and came here for the higher cities. I don't talk much untIl i am familiar with someone.

I hope that's enough he said with a chuckle. Okayy so where are you stayIng currently. I mean you must be finding a place to stay. No actually I am staying at my uncle's place but yes I will shift from there after finding a place. Hey if you don't mind we want to invite you for the dinner tonight at our place, choice is all yours said Èric why not I will be coming. I guess we should go and prepare for the evening dinner.

Clare's POV

Open the door Luke, I don't have the keys Ella locked the door today, Ella open the door i don't have the keys I left with you today Luke was who left the house in last. Where is Luke? Naomi also? O god two most careless people together are handling our house keys.

Does anyone know where are they ? Nobody knows noobody knows Naomi and Luke said from the stairs heading towards us open the door now idiots I said in annoyance they were giggling.

Eric, Ella And I will cook and will prepare the dinner. Naomi and Luke will clean the house and make it presentable. It is already clean said Naomi that is why you two are cleaning because there is nothing to do.

Whatever we will clean the house its so dirty she rolled her eyes and they both left. Cute idiots their dido made us laugh.

Clare you should make a lemon cake desserts, Erick and I will take care of the main course said Ella. We will cook the three cheese pizza, Seafood pasta, and we will open our only bottle of Aperol Spritz. That will be enough right. Hmm,

Luke stop scrolling your phone and help me change those bedsheets from your room I heard Naomi yelling at Luke. After almost two hours we were done then we put everything on dining table and started waiting for him. Few minutes later doorbell rings, and he came hello Mark welcome said Eric. As soon as he enters he said nice place you guys maintain it well. Yeah! I murmured. Come and have a seat. We started having our dinner. I can see the stares of Naomi and Luke on the lemon cake I was giving them deathly glares. Eric serves it to Mark, but he refuses he said I don't like lemons.

Naomi quickly took the cake cut it in two pieces took one for herself another for Luke and left the dining table. We are our done they said. I gave a facepalm to my, and and we continued our conversation Erick said if you want you can stay with us here.

You wanted a place right! But i will not be able to afford it. Neither we can our rent is equally distributed among us if you also came then we will divide that in 6 equal halves. What do say. No problem then .

You guys solved my problem thank you by the way your dinner was awesome I loved it. Thanks .OK then I will shift here after two days and I will sign the contract too OK .see you guys
