The sun on that Wednesday afternoon wanted to be known and kept on peeping through every window in the car, my dad and I had now arrived at my school premises after driving for hours and it seemed that everyone was so busy doing their own thing.

I got down slowly from the car, trying to figure out why everyone was moving up and down like that because it was so confusing. My dad also joined me in the stare to figure out what was going on.

“What got these guys like this?” , he asked in confusion.

“I don’t even know” , I replied and turned to the car and starting unloading my stuff into the dormitory. Upon reaching there, the housemistress gave us a warm welcome, it looked kind of fake but there was nothing I could say about that so I just followed her instructions and went to my room.

In the room, there were already a lot of girls inside, getting to about 70 people but the advantage was that the room was big enough to contain all of us. After being showed to my bed and properly arranging my stuff, I headed back to my dad who was having a tight conversation with the mistress.

“So are you sure there are no bullies?……..cause I know my daughter enough and I know far getting her angry can land you”

The mistress giggled and noticed me standing behind my dad with a poker face , which eventually made her laugh out. I slowly walked to stand by him and he froze because he didn’t realize I was close.

“Hey madam, you are here?” , he nervously spat out.

”Why, were you expecting me to leave?”, I questioned. He ignored the question with a silly look and exchanged greetings with the housemistress, then as he was about to leave , he gave me my money, advised me a little then left.

I turned to the mistress, smiled and went to my room. When I entered, everyone was busy with their own thing. Since it was our first time me in high school, some were trying to make friends, others were just lying there, the others too were reading and a whole lot.

I walked slowly to my corner and laid on my bed which I had already dressed, as I was calmly trying to relax, someone spoke to me.

“Hi….” , I got up and looked in the direction of the voice which was up, from the bed on top of mine. I smiled and replied her.

”Hello”,

”l’m Angie and you ?” She asked.

”I’m Ekuwa Albertsons” I answered, she smirked and continued.

“Mfante right?”,

”yep…..” I said and giggled which made her also smile.
