Once was a girl named hoshino Yona. A typical high schooler in the country of Japan.. She was the only daughter of a hoshino ayamura. A well-known businessman all throughout Japan. Her father passed away when she was 5, leaving all his fortune to her. Her aunt, who took pity out on Yona, offered to adopt her until she came to the age of 18. so until then, she offered to take care of both the business and the Yona. From the eyes of outsiders, it was a great dead done by her aunt to take an orphan in. However, only Yona knew the truth. Truthfully, she hoped that she would rather live alone. It was as if she became a Modern Cinderella. Her life became a nightmare. All her belongings were cruelly taken by her aunt and her cousin. The business was suffering from loses because her aunt gave an opportunity to whoever sucked their boots. A compliment of beauty was enough to make her sign billions work projects.

Now Yona is 16 years old. In a week, she is going to be a high schooler in the most prestigious private high school of Japan. 'Nightingale Private school'. Students from all around the world have dreams to attend this prestigious school as only elites of elites can enter this school, and no graduate doesn't end up not becoming a popular figure in this school.

Yona has always been a smart child. She received scholarships from the school since she was an elementary school. But she was not a popular student even though she had dazzling looks and brains. She was considered an outcast in the school. It mostly happened because she was never a person to talk to anyone, and she was openly bullied by her cousin's gang. Her cousin was a student there too as her aunt bribed her way through to the school.Yona's life was hell. She hated that she was born. And with her appearance. That's right. She had an unusual appearance. Non like any human in the world. She had bloody crimson hair and yellowish eyes. Like a beast. If she could, she could have died for so long, but she lacked confidence.

One day, she went out to get her new outfit to the high school, and then she went to the book shop nearby and took her favorite biology magazine, which came out every month. Then as she walked through the road toward the subway as she looked through the magazine. The road was noisy, but suddenly, it was silent. It was so silent you could hear even if a leaf fell down. Yona noticed this change as she looked up. It is as if everything froze into this air. Nobody was moving.

Then she heard a voice.''Melinoë''.. the voice called out. The voice was rough, yet Yona felt the warmth through those words. Again, the voice called out. "My child, Melinoë" for some reason Yona's eyes were filled with tears. "Father," her voice came out of her mouth without her knowledge. But the language she spoke was not of anything from this world. Even if it was, it is now long gone. It was ancient greek language."That's right. My daughter." The voice spoke again." it is time that you wake up from your nightmare. My beloved daughter." As soon as Yona heard this, a flash of memory came to her head. She felt so much pain in her head that she fell on her knees. Again, the noise of the road continued as if nothing had happened. Only Yona was affected by it. She couldn't bear the pain in her head. Some unknown memories were floating to her head. People were looking at her. She could hear people talking to her but she couldn't hear them properly. Her brain was filled with so many memories. She couldn't hold out anymore. She passed out....

After the incident, Yona woke up. When she looked around, it was dark, yet she felt so familiar. She felt so FREE. It was as if that place belonged to her and only her. Some of her memories settled down in her brain. She mainly remembers who she was.

She was who they called the goddess of ghosts, Princess of darkness.. she who wielded the power of insanity. The darkest wielder of the darkest mana and the bringer of nightmares. She who can take many and any forms, she who banishes souls to the pits of hell. " MELINOË "

She realized that she was the daughter of hades, the king of the underworld. But she felt like something was missing. Some of her memories were still blurred. She only remembered she was never alone. She had someone beside her. Melinoe was not one soul. She was that of two souls. One is white. One is dark. All she remembered was that she was the dark part of melinoe. She spent time in the dark place for so many hours trying to remember everything. But he seems to not even find out what the cause was the end of her immortal life.

Spending more time in the dark place brought her back more memories. She remembered her past lives after her immortal life perished. That's right. Her soul lived even though her life as melinoe perished. She was almost 2000 years old. At least her soul was. In her very life, she felt like she was searching for someone. Someone who she loves dearly. Someone who she never seemed to forget yet somehow forgot.

Her mind was restless. She spent 3 days in the dark place as she remembered all her powers, and she got herself the ability to control ghosts back. Every dark power she wielded. Everything came back. Spending time there was cozy, but she felt the need to go back. She wanted to find the truth about how she died, and she had some business unfinished in this world where she had to punish those foolish humans who dared to harm her. After all, she is the darkest part of the princess of darkness.

As soon as she thought she wanted to go back, in a blink of eyes, a bright light came blinding. She spent so much time in the dark pit that her eyes started to hurt a little. When she opened her eyes, she was in a hospital. She was in a bed in a crowded ward with so much noise. She got up and looked around. Then, a nurse came. She looked as at Yona as if she was garbage.

"Where am I?" Yona questioned. She couldn't help but feel the hostility coming from the nurse. But a mountain never shakes just because a dog barks. Thus, she didn't even care.

"HN private hospital." The nurse said," You were just transferred just now. But you are already awake. Why bother us if you don't even take treatment. Give me your identification. You need to pay for the ambulance fees. "

Yona couldn't help but laugh. She didn't say a word and gave her ID to the nurse.

" Last time I checked, I was the owner of this hospital," Yona spoke up. Everyone could see her aura even if they were mere mortals. "And pack up your things, you are fired"

Yona was leaving the hospital after causing all those chaos. After all, she is THE GODDESS OF TROUBLES.

"Ah, right about now.." Yona mumbled to herself. "She should be here.."

She barely finished her sentence when a fancy car parked right in front of her, which seemed to come at full speed.

"YONA.. YOU.. HOW DARE YOU.." Her aunt's unpleasant voice started to scream, but yona didn't even budge.

"Why are you shouting, auntie?" Yona asked, with a calm voice and a collective mind. This made her aunt shout even louder.

"How dare you go around barking orders as if you are the one controlling them," her aunt shouted again. People were looking.

"Ha...." Yona sighed as she started to speak. "Alright then.. are you implying that since I am not the one taking care of the family business, I should not order around anyone?"

"YOU.. THAT'S RIGHT." Her aunt started to shout again."Don't butt in to the business matters, or you will be punished."

For that, yona couldn't hold out the laughter.

'Punish me? Punish me.. the Goddess of darkness? Does this mortal bored of living' Yona thought to herself but then again she thought 'Now that I think about it, I am a mortal myself now,Even though I feel the mana poring out within me. Karma is punished by hell, and as a mortal, it applies to me myself. As such, I must not kill her'

Yona turned around to leave, and her aunt was extremely angry at her behavior.

She was trying to pull Yona, but as she reached out, her legs went weak, making her kneel. A mortal daring to touch a demigod with hatred in their mind. Not just any demigod but a queen of demigods. Normal thing would be to cut off their head. However, yona was not the "melinoe" she was. She spent many and all kinds of lives after the end of her immortal life.

Now she knows how to forgive and forget

She got back to her house. She glanced around, looking at the small room where she lived like a caged bird. But she didn't resent anyone for that. She just wanted to rest.

"Gin," she called as laying down on the bed. Without a second appeared a handsome fellow with long dark hair and black eyes. He was a grim reaper.

"Master," Gin spoke. "Is there something I can do for you?"

" I am going to sleep, don't let anyone disturb me," yona ordered. "Also, wake me in 4 days."

"Yes. Master" gin obediently answered. " master, are you going to the eternal dream chamber by any chance?"

" Yeah," yona shrugged. " Did Oneiros take a leave from making dreams. He was always fighting me because I was tainting the dreams of mortals when I visited the mortal realms at night with my train of ghosts. Now he can do as a he pleases with those sleeping mortals————"

Gin couldn't stop himself from smiling when seeing his master back to her former self. Fighting with her childhood friend and her rival Oneiros (the god of dreams), running around everywhere with her train of ghosts, making Lord hades mad once or twice a day, getting trouble and waiting for her elder brother to take the blame for her... Gin was reminded of all these memories.

'My master is here now,' Gin thought to himself.'I always regretted not stopping her. But not I will not regret anymore. I will never let my master make the same mistake again'

Four days later, yona got up after endless dreams hoping to see Oneiros somewhere, but she couldn't.

It was as if Oneiros had disappeared. Yona was troubled, yet she had no choice but to postpone thinking about it because she had to get ready to go to school.

"The awakening of Melinoe?" Yona questioned as looking at a letter from Aphrodite, the goddess of love. While some ghost maidens did her face with the gifts sent by Aphrodite.

"Yes master" Gin answered. "The word as gone all throughout the Heaven and underworld. Even Lord zeus sent you a congratulatory letter"

"Ah. That is interesting. " Yona spoke up," Why go through with the trouble. Is it because he still believes I am his daughter. How pathetic"

As soon as she said that, a lightning appeared out of nowhere. Yona didn't even budge. Then she looked up and mumbled.. " Truth hurts... yeah"

Another thunder striked. Then yona smiled nervously.. "Fine.. I will shut up. "

Yona got up after the maidens finished with whatever they were doing to her face and got dressed. Then, she used a teleportation spell to get into the subway.

For some unknown reason, the loss of people was staring at her so intensely.

She never got this much attention as Yona before, so she was quite surprised.Even in the heavens and hell, people were scared to approach her other than the main gods.This made the goddess of nightmares extremely nervous

However, in truth, the people were staring at her because she was too beautiful not to stare. How could they look away she was otherworldly beautiful. And Aphrodite's magical cosmetics were attracting everyone in. She was just not suited to be in this world.

However, the stares made it too awkward for yona to even move.

As she walked to the school, the anxiety never ended. Will she be alright at school?
