2:03 PM - Western Part City C

Zombie ZONE

Danger Color: Orange

Danger Level: High

"Lumina, activate the radar for me, please," said the person hiding behind the damage wall with a gun in his right hand. Just a year ago, he was idling in his small, rundown apartment bored with the monotony of his life, he seeks change and excitement, never imagining the bloodshed and death-defying chaos that would unfold, not only for himself but also for the world. Who would have thought that the world would be plunged into chaos, with civilization on the brink of extinction due to the Zombie virus outbreak?  Now, he is no longer idling; his main goal is to survive by killing zombies.

"Alright, let's eliminate these zombies and return to the C city base before sundown." A smirk formed on the person's face as he stretched his neck slightly and proceeded cautiously to avoid alerting his targets.

Positioning himself in a battle formation, with the system's assistance and a gun in hand, he possesses the most reliable survival weapon, offering both manual and automatic modes, unlimited bullets, a variety of guns, and ammunition—he regards the system as truly generous.

Zombie movement is sluggish when there is no target to provoke them. Zombies are often provoked by the presence of living beings, particularly by sound, movement, or the scent of living humans. These stimuli can trigger their instinct to hunt and feed.

Dayson kept his distance to avoid being noticed by the lurking zombie. He used a gun with a silencer to minimize the noise when he fired the weapon.

Bang!

Dayson killed the zombies one after another, constantly receiving notices from Lumina, the System, such as

|Bullet refilled| after every shot.

Despite his carefulness, a small sound was bound to alert the other zombies when he continued firing the gun.

The inaudible groaning sound emanating from the zombie grew increasingly louder, prompting the remaining targets to quicken their pace.

"Lumina, open the system inventory," Dayson ordered. A high-tech system appeared in front of him as he took out the map of the Western Part City C Zombie ZONE to look for a possible safe zone.

"Dang!..." Dayson quickly positioned himself, moving from the wrecked hallway to a safer area, although it was quite far. In this city overrun by zombies, there was no true safe zone; instead, Dayson considered a safer side to be where fewer zombies lurked, making them easier targets for him. However, it didn't guarantee that the zombies couldn't reach that place at any time. Despite eliminating many, the endless maze of zombies meant that the entire zone was far from being cleared.

Dayson moved quickly but as quietly as possible to a spot that would allow him to take a more precise shot. During his movement, he noticed a horde of zombies reaching the same floor he was on. Guided by their keen sense of smell, the zombies headed straight for the corpse lying on the ground, tearing into the flesh starting from the legs. The sight was so gruesome that if your stomach isn't as strong as mine, what you witness might induce vomiting.

More zombies were flocking along the hallway, their numbers twice that of those Dayson had previously eliminated. Time was running out, and Dayson couldn't wait calmly anymore. He pointed his gun at a height likely to be where the zombies' heads were located.

"Here they are."

Another bullet was fired from the gun, and Lumina's system worked automatically, activating the rifle effect.

"It's almost time now."

"You must be joking with me... Why is there no sign of stopping here?" Dayson complained, but his hand never stopped aiming for the heads of the zombies.

"I have to be serious." The roar from the zombie moving straight towards Dayson's location alarmed all the other zombies fighting for the dead flesh on the ground. In an instant, almost all the remaining zombies swarmed towards him.

"Okay, a dozen more, let the bullets rain."

"I should go now." Dayson aimed his gun at the remaining zombies struggling on the ground and fired a few consecutive shots.

"Done," a smug smile appeared on his lips. He was exhausted, but the enjoyment of killing zombies kept his blood boiling with excitement.

He checked the time on his wristwatch: 5:14 PM. There was just enough time to head back, another fulfilling smile appearing on his lips again.
