The sun hung low over the bustling city of Aedenberg as James Heidenberg made his way to yet another job interview. With a weary smile, he adjusted his tie and straightened his posture, ready to face whatever lay ahead.

Inside the imposing walls of JCSM Tower, James found himself seated across from the HR manager, her scrutinizing gaze boring into him with each question.

"Hmm, so your name is James, and you previously worked at Johannes and Steve's before becoming a freelancer?" the HR manager inquired, her tone laced with curiosity.

James nodded, feeling a bead of sweat trickle down his brow. "Ah... Yes, ma'am," he replied, his voice tinged with nervousness.

The HR manager peered down at his resume, her eyes scanning the lines with practiced precision. "I can see they commend you highly. Why did you leave those positions?" she probed gently, sensing his discomfort.

James hesitated, his mind racing for an acceptable answer. "Financial issues... at home," he finally admitted, his cheeks flushing with embarrassment.

"Ah, I understand," the HR manager responded sympathetically, a hint of camaraderie in her voice. "I faced similar struggles in my own career."

As the interview progressed, James found himself opening up, sharing his aspirations and his determination to succeed. Despite his initial trepidation, he met each question with confidence, his resolve shining through.

"What can you contribute to this company?" the HR manager asked, her tone firm but fair.

James straightened in his seat, his gaze steady. "Ma'am, I can do it all. I'm committed to seeing every task through to completion, and I'm eager to contribute to any events the company plans," he declared, his voice ringing with conviction.

Impressed by his sincerity, the HR manager nodded approvingly. "Well, that's a commendable attitude, Mr. Heidenberg. We'll be in touch regarding your application," she concluded, rising from her seat.

As James exited the tower, he couldn't shake the sense of uncertainty that gnawed at him. Another interview, another opportunity slipping through his fingers. He sighed heavily, the weight of disappointment settling upon his shoulders.

"Phew... That interview..." James muttered to himself, his exhaustion evident in every word. "I better keep looking for another company. I feel like I'm not going to be accepted again."

Sipping his cola, James mused aloud, his frustration bubbling to the surface. "Why can't these companies just tell us applicants when we haven't passed the interview? Instead, they feed us some made-up excuse..."

His outburst drew curious glances from passersby, their eyes filled with a mixture of sympathy and judgment. James flushed with embarrassment, hastily retreating from the bench and disappearing into the crowded streets.

Returning home, James collapsed onto his bed, the events of the day weighing heavily on his mind. Yet, as he reached for his phone, panic seized him.

"Ahh! What the heck..." James exclaimed, his heart racing as he scrolled through the news feed. "This country is a traitor!"

Clutching his fist, James gritted his teeth, his anger boiling over. In his virtual realm, the beloved kingdom he had painstakingly built lay besieged by enemies, its defenses crumbling before his eyes.

"Dang it! Damn you traitors!" James cried out, his voice choked with emotion. "I should have just continued conquering the whole world in this game..."

With a heavy sigh, James deleted the game from his phone, the weight of defeat settling upon him like a shroud. As exhaustion claimed him, he drifted into a fitful sleep, haunted by the echoes of a battle lost, both in reality and in the digital realm.

Chapter 2: The Accident

The morning sun cast a warm glow over the bustling streets of Aedenberg as James Heidenberg, fueled by a relentless drive to secure employment, hurriedly prepared for another day of job hunting. With a yawn and a stretch, he glanced at the clock, only to be greeted by the realization that it was already 10 am.

"Dayum, it's already 10 am?!" James exclaimed, a mixture of surprise and frustration tinging his voice. "I need to hurry up and start looking for a job..."

Despite his determination, James couldn't shake the gnawing anxiety that lingered in the pit of his stomach. The weight of his mounting debt loomed over him like a dark cloud, a constant reminder of his financial struggles.

"No matter how much I look into my bank account, it's still so infuriating," James muttered to himself, his frustration palpable. "How the heck did I garner this much debt just from going to school..."

Determined to turn his fortunes around, James set out on his job hunting expedition, his steps quickening with each passing moment.

As he reached a crossroad, James waited patiently for the traffic light to change, lost in thought. When the light finally turned green, he began to cross the pedestrian lane, his mind drifting to thoughts of the president and the complexities of politics.

"Hmm... could I ever have a chance at landing a position like that?" James mused aloud, a smirk playing at the corners of his lips. "Probably not... I'm neither famous nor well-connected..."

His thoughts then turned to his beloved game, the virtual realm where he had once built kingdoms from the ground up, navigating the treacherous waters of diplomacy and warfare with cunning and skill.

Lost in reminiscence, James failed to notice the approaching delivery truck until it was too late. With lightning reflexes, he darted towards the safety of a signal light pole, narrowly avoiding the oncoming vehicle.

But fate, it seemed, had other plans.

The screech of brakes filled the air, followed by the sickening crunch of metal on metal as the truck collided with the signal light pole. James, who had sought refuge behind it, found himself trapped between the unyielding steel and the unforgiving force of the truck's bumper.

"Honk! Honk! Fckk these brakes!" the driver cursed as the chaos unfolded.

With a deafening crash, James's world went dark as the weight of the truck bore down upon him, crushing him beyond recognition.

"Kyaa! Somebody got crushed by a truck!"

"Oh my god! That's so gross..."

The horrified cries of bystanders mingled with the sound of sirens as emergency responders rushed to the scene, their faces etched with shock and disbelief.

Amidst the chaos, James lay motionless, his fate sealed by a twist of cruel destiny.

Breaking News flashed across television screens, recounting the tragic accident that had unfolded at Norleighton Crossroad. As viewers watched in horror, they whispered prayers for the unfortunate soul who had met such a grisly end.

In the wake of the accident, James Heidenberg's life was forever changed, his dreams and aspirations snuffed out in an instant by the merciless hand of fate.

Chapter 3: Deity of Life and Death

James Heidenberg found himself in a vast, bright space, the sky painted in white and the ground crystal clear as if he were floating atop a vast ocean. Confusion clouded his thoughts as he struggled to make sense of his surroundings.

"W... What is this place?" James murmured, his voice echoing softly in the void. "Am I dead already? But why can't I remember what happened...?"

As James regained his composure, he tentatively explored the expansive space, his movements guided by a sense of curiosity and trepidation. With each step, he traversed the boundless expanse, his mind racing with unanswered questions.

Time seemed to lose its meaning in this ethereal realm, suspended in a state of timeless existence. James wandered aimlessly, the weight of uncertainty bearing down upon him like an invisible burden.

Just as he began to resign himself to the futility of his situation, a crack appeared in the fabric of space, heralding the arrival of a powerful celestial being. James's heart raced as he felt the overwhelming pressure of the being's aura, a sense of fear and reverence washing over him.

"James Heidenberg... Your life on Earth is now over," the celestial being intoned, its voice resonating with authority. "I offer you a chance to start anew, to redeem yourself. Do you wish to live again, on a different plane and world filled with chaos and backwardness, or do you seek final rest?"

James's mind raced as he contemplated the weight of the celestial being's words. The prospect of a second chance filled him with hope, igniting a flicker of determination within his soul.

"Yes, O God, please give me a chance to live as a human again," James declared, his voice unwavering. "And in this life, I wish to create a religion that will honor and worship your name."

Moved by James's sincerity and resolve, the celestial being bestowed upon him a gift, a token of guidance and assistance for his journey ahead.

"James Heidenberg, when you arrive in this world, may your promise come true," the celestial being spoke, its voice echoing in the vast expanse. "I gift you with the means to fulfill your destiny. Look forward to it."

With those parting words, James's consciousness faded, enveloped by a sense of tranquility as he embarked on his journey to a new world.
