So..this is how I die..

"Finally I can be free.."

My name was Zu Mori,a marriage counselor.

I looked up at the ceiling with painful tears trying to cling on to the last amount of life I had left.

It felt like my entire world was falling ...I took my last breath and died that night..

Suddenly I couldn't see a swarm of clouds..I woke up in a large traditional red wedding attire..then I realized.

I WAS THE FEMALE LEAD CHARACTER Muzu NUIA from one of my Favorite books called "the emperor's mute wife".

I looked around and then I heard talking coming from the outside.

"Leave us,I do not wish for anyone to disturb our slumber"- ?

The door slid open and a handsome, glorious looking face stared down at me.

"Please..no formalities while we are alone..your my wife now "- ,?

My heart skipped a beat, I've never seen a man give me this much affection before.. soon I realized who he was..he was the emperor,Yang- Chi.

I signed telling him I just woke up waiting for him.

Yang pulled me into his arms and gave me a passionate kiss on the forehead.

"Tonight, it's just you and me together,I told the guards to leave"- Yang

I signed "Thank you Yang.."

We both kissed and just enjoyed the time we had together.

Soon the next day,I woke and saw Yang getting dressed.

Yang turned to look at me and smiled.

"Good morning my love..I see you're awake" - Yang

I signed -" where are you going this morning?"

" There's some important matters I must attend to at the imperial court" - Yang

I sat up in bed and put my robe on.

Yang came over to me and kissed me on my forehead.

"I shall see you later on today my dear"- Yang

He kissed me one last time, and left our chambers.

Soon, the nanny and one of the maids came in with my royal attire.

"Good morning your imperial majesty, your audience is requested in the Royal garden "- Nanny Wang

I nodded and stood up.

As I was getting dressed a lot of things slipped my mind.. why would Muzu want to give me her life??

I finished getting dressed and stepped out of my bedroom chambers.

Soon a bunch of other maids were following behind me.

As we arrived at the garden..I heard a bowl crashing.

I walked up a bit further to see what was all the commotion..then I saw a spilled bowl of rice on the ground, and a scared maid.

I walked up to them and that's when I heard a scornful,yet absolute voice.

"What is this garbage?! Make me a new bowl!" -?

I looked forward and saw that the voice yelling was nun other than Kiri-Mi , one of the Prince's most spoiled of wife's.

I picked up the bowl and calmly gave it to the maid.

"Y.. your majesty, I'm fine, I'm just a mere servent" - maid Qui-ang

I signed " you made a mistake, it's nothing to be ashamed of".

I stood up and turned to look at Kiri-Mi.

"It's just some over cooked rice,it can easily be fixed" - I signed

Kiri-Mi glanced at me with a stren glare.

"Who are you?.." - Kiri-Mi

"I'm Muzu-Nuia, The Emperor's wife" - i signed

Kiri-Mi's eyes widened,as her merciful glance steered deep into me.

I held my head high,as I knew what was going to transpire.

Kiri-Mi stood up, rushed up to me,and grabbed my wrist aggressively.

"Your no emperess,your just a mute wife!" - Kiri-Mi

As she was about to strike me, Yang suddenly stopped her..

" What is this foolishness....speak NOW!" - Yang

Kiri-Mi looked at me, with pitiful eyes , trying to make me give him a reason to spare her.

Yang looked at me then turned to the maids.

"Who brought the Emperess to the garden?!" - Yang

I touched Yang's hand and signed "the maids are innocent, Nanny Wang and two of my own maids informed me to come here".

Yang's eyes widened, then he glared at Nanny Wang.

"It seems..that the princess consort, Kiri-Mi,has planted spies in my palace.." - Yang

In Spite of his anger,he grabbed a hold of Kiri-Mi's neck and glared at her intentionally

"If you cause anymore disturbances in my palace again..I will not hesitate to change your husband's mind and have you removed.."- Yang

Kiri-Mi's eyes watered at his warning and then she nodded.

Yang took a hold of my hand and then turned towards the guards.

"Guards remove these spies and have them beaten and thrown out!" - Yang

Yang turned to look at me and then looked at Kiri-Mi.

"You will be placed on house arrest.. untill you learned your lesson,you are banned from this part of the garden " - Yang

Kiri-Mi nodded.

We both walked away,I slowly turned my head to see the guards drag nanny Wang and the others with them.

As we returned to our chambers, yang hugged me tight.

" I was so worried.. please don't scare me like that again " - Yang

I looked up at him and then nodded.

"Yang.. I'm not harmed thanks to you,I promise that I'll protect myself when you're not here" I signed.

Yang looked away and then said " I can't let you get hurt like that again".

That night when I layed in bed,a lot of thoughts crossed my mind.

I sat up and tears overwhelmingly fell down my face.

I sighed deeply and then just decided to take a walk.

As I walked and looked up at the night sky,I wondered what my past life was like before I became Emperess.

Soon it felt like time was moving slowly and I just decided to sit on a bench near a river.

As I sat there,I noticed a dark figure creeping up behind me.

When I turned around,the dark figure pushed me into the river.

Then everything turned black.

As I passed out,I could hear a bunch of voices calling my name.

Suddenly,I woke up to the sound of Yang's voice, worrying about me.

I put my hand against his face and smiled.

"Yang.. what has happened to me?" I signed, asking what happened to me last night.

"A guard spotted you in the river and brought you back"

I looked around at everyone,they all seem worried..all accept for Kiri-Mi.

I just sat there.. feeling a little scared..

"I..I don't know how I ended up in the river,I think someone pushed me" I signed.

Yang's eyes widened hearing that I have been pushed into the water.

He turned to look at the guards.

" Find the person who attempted to harm the empress"

The guards grabbed Kiri-Mi and pinned her to the ground.

"I gave you a warning.. and you disobeyed my orders,not only that..but you attempted to murder my wife?!" - Yang

Kiri-Mi's tears fell down her face.. suddenly she turned to me.

"This useless mute doesn't deserve to be Emperess! I do!!"- Kiri-Mi

Yang walked up and grabbed Kiri-Mi's neck aggressively.

"Then you shall be punished severally for your crimes"- Yang

Soon, another man walked in looking very confused.

"What is all this commotion about?"-?

When I saw him,he looked a bit identical to Yang,then I realized that it was the emperor's brother,Lu-Chi.

" Imperial brother..why do you have my wife in your grasp?" - Lu-Chi

" Your wife has attempted to murder the Emperess under my watch.." - Yang

I looked up at Lu with very endebted eyes.

"What crime did she commit?"- Lu-Chi

"Attempted Murder"- Yang

Lu-Chi looked at his wife and glared.

" I will handle my wife with care your majesty,my imperial brother" - Lu-chi

Lu-Chi grabbed Kiri-Mi by the back of her dress and dragged her away.

"Everyone you may leave now,I must condulge with my wife" - Yang

Everyone left our chambers and it was just us two.

"I'm glad that your alright now.." -Yang

I touched Yang's face and smiled a bit

I then signed "I'm happy as well..I wish I could've stopped Kiri-Mi that day..".

Yang hugged me and said" you don't have to worry about those people that hurt you, I promise to do my best to protect you".

I kissed Yang passionately and soon the Imperial doctor came in to take a look at me.

"What's wrong with my wife doctor?" - Yang

"The Emperess is with child" - Imperial Doctor Wang

"How far along doctor.."- Yang

" Two months at most,but I suggest that she takes it easy on herself, critical harm to the body can effect the baby as well"

" I understand,thank you for informing us about this doctor"

The imperial doctor bowed and then left,that night I woke up and saw that our bedroom door was open.

I walked out and saw Yang sitting on the stairs,I sat there sitting with him.

"What's bugging you my love" I signed

"I feel ashamed.. about what Kiri-Mi did to you..I should've been there sooner" - Yang

I kissed him on the head and signed" you can't undo what has already happened..but you can change your future"

Yang turned and held me tight,we both looked up at the stars.

That's what I wondered.. what was the original Muzu's life like before this?

I took a walk through the palace and greeted the maids.

When I returned to my chambers,a letter was delivered to me,and it was written by my father.

"Dear Muzu..

How are you?  we've missed you back at home.

Your older brother has gone off to serve the imperial army and is to be seen in court the next day.

Hopefully we'll be able to see each other at the palace tomorrow.

As I finished reading the letter,a feeling of curiosity and love surged through me.i have a loving father in this life..

Back in my previous life..my father left me and my mother when I was 4.

I remember that my mother would often drink to soothe her pain...and that she would always push me into doing what I love while also being strict

I still have no memory of him..but my mother reminded me everyday about how horrible he was to both of us.

Just thinking about it now made me think a lot that I didn't know in my past life.

I sat at my desk writing a letter back to my father to thank him for thinking about me so much.

Yang came in, putting his sword by the door.

"Hello my love.. everything alright?"- Yang

"Yes I'm alright..I just got a letter from my father..my family is coming to the palace"- I signed

Yang sat right next to me and hugged me.

"It'll be alright..if anything goes wrong,I will handle things" - Yang

I looked up at Yang and sighed gently.

"I don't want you to worry about me,I wanna be able to handle stuff on my own too"- I signed

Yang looked at me with worry,then he nodded in agreement.

"I'm only saying it because your carrying our child" - Yang

I put my pen down,sat up, and hugged Yang. I knew he was worried about losing me.

"It's alright.. I'll be fine,I have you and thats all I need" I signed touching his face.

The next day,My father,my step mother, and my step sister came to the palace.

"Greetings your majesty.."

" Welcome Grand Duke Nuia"

My father glanced at me and gave me a hug.

"Oh My sweet child.."

My father came up to me and gave me a hug,I hugged him back with a smile.

"Will brother Hu-min be joining us?" I signed

"You're brother will be joining us a bit later, he's still maintaining military defenses as we speak"

My stepmother and sister glared at me and just looked the other way.

Yang clenched his fist and made a stren look towards them.

I signed- " ignore their rude behavior your majesty, their always like this"

Yang unclenched his fist and guided everyone to the dinning room

As everyone sat at the table,Ku-mi ,my half sister, glared at me intently and scoffed.

"So... how's everything going here at the palace"my father asked ,smiling at me from across the table.

" Everything is ok,the first couple of months were chaotic, but things are running smoothly now" I signed, telling my father I was doing well.

"Ugh...this place is way too fancy for you Muzu..I might have something that fits you way more" My stepmother said with a spiteful look on her face.

I don't really have any hate towards my stepmother or sister, because to be honest, what's to hate about them anyway?

Literally nothing at all because they don't stand a chance against Yang , period.

In my past life,Yang executed both Ku-mi and my stepmother,Lu-min.

Obviously if they did something to me, Yang would have really sliced their heads off in front of me... just thinking about it gives me chills...😖

Anyway!

After awhile, Ku-mi looked at me and decided to pour hot soup on my hand.

Yang banged his hand on the table and grabbed Ku-mi's neck.

"Y-your Majesty.. your..choking me!" Ku-mi said, trying to breathe.

"Good..then you can understand that I don't tolerate that kind of behavior in my Palace" Yang said, clenching his hands more on to Ku-mi's neck

"Your majesty please... she's just a girl,it was my fault for not teaching her properly" my father said bowing his head looking ashamed.

" It was not your fault Duke Nuia, however,it is the mother's fault for teaching her poor education on how to be polite,in other words... she's spoiled" Yang said glaring at my stepmother then letting go of Ku-mi.

Yang jestered his hand to call one of the maids over.

" Escort my wife back to our courters, I'll be back shortly"

"Your majesty I'm fine .. it'll -"

Yang stopped me and then said..

"No excuses,you need to go rest, it's the doctor's orders " yang said clasping my hands.

I nodded, and I stood up slowly.

"Please excuse us..as I need to urgently rest" I signed bowing my head down.

I said my goodbyes and walked back to my room with the maid escorting me.

As I arrived back to my room,I sat in front of my desk and just wrote a letter to my brother, after that I took off my robes and laid down.

Soon Yang returned stroking my head gently,I woke up as he continued to stroke my head.

"Y-yang..when did you get here" I signed rubbing my eyes.

"Just now...I sent your family Back to their home along with a warning for your sister and stepmother " yang said sitting me up straight.

"I'm sorry for the trouble that my stepmother and sister caused" I signed looking a little sad.

"Do not apologize for their wrong doings,that alone is not your fault" Yang said stroking my face.

Yang kissed me passionately and the feeling of love just rushed over me,like the world suddenly stopping just for this moment.

The next few days were more calmer,and I wrote a letter to my brother about the dinner with our family. Hu-min replied back to me..

Dear sister, war is gruesome and tiring,but I know that your there cheering me on from the palace, I'm glad that his majesty is treating you well and that I will soon have a new niece or nephew~

I will write to father soon,if I am able to..

My eyes watered as I read my brother's letter,I haven't seen him before,but I know his personality is very kind and sincere.

Suddenly..the bedroom door opened.

"W-who are you..?"

" I'm 2nd Prince Ju-mei of Ten-shai Dynasty,and I'm also your biological brother"Ju-mei said glancing down at me.

"Why have you come..?" I signed, feeling a little scared.

Soon yang grabbed Ju by his collar.

"Get away from my wife..Now!" Yang demanded as he tugged on his collar even harder.

"Yang I'm unharmed, please calm down" I signed, telling him to release the man.

"You will leave my wife alone until we figure out why your here..." Yang said letting him go.

Ju-mei got up from the ground and walked out.

"Do not forget about what we discussed Empress Muzu" Ju-mei said Turning his head towards me and then walked away.

Yang walked over to be and lifted me up.

"Did he touch you?" Yang asked looking all around me.

"He didn't harm me or do any of those things yang.. I'm fine" I signed, hugging him

As he held on to me..I could feel a lot of questions buzzing through my head.. what was going to happen to me?..why do I feel like people are suddenly after me.

But..even so...I always knew that Yang would always be there to save me from harm.
