"I'm sorry you're imperial highness, I couldn't find anything to cure this unknown disease..."

I had been sick for over a year, but I have never told my family about… It was like my entire being just lost all contact with my mind.

I laid there in my bed, my face expressionless, I knew that there wouldn't be a lot of happiness if I just disappeared. Suddenly, I heard my family come barging in.

"Have you found a cure yet?"

"No you're majesty...her illness is Unknown"

My father looked down at me with a saddened expression. I closed my eyes slowly, already exhausted.

"Get her dressed…she is to be married in a few hours"

Oh…how could I forget, I was a replacement bride for my bratty younger sister, Leren, She and I are only two years apart from each other. Leren would often make fun of me for being physically slower than her, and would often make fun of my body figure.l didn't really care much for her comments because I wasn't really the type to look down on others and didn't speak much at all.

The person who I'm marrying is rumored to be a cruel and ruthless crown prince.

I questioned my family's affection, since my parents favored Leren over Me, I don't really blame them, though I wish they'd stop pitying me for the fact that I haven't been in good health in a long while.

The maids got me dressed in my wedding attire, which I would be wearing when I soon will be arriving at the Fiberus Empire.

It was like I was a doll being covered in a bunch of delicate bedsheets.

"Father! Why does she have to wear that dress? She's too small"

"Be quiet! Your sister volunteered since you didn't want to marry the crown prince of the neighboring kingdom"

My father favored Leren a lot, but at that exact moment…he looked extremely disappointed in her. I didn't imagine the fact that my father stood there and defended me.

"Father.."

"Yes Orea.."

"I'm ready to get into the carriage"

My father got up and picked me up bridal style all the way to the Carriage. It felt like everything around me suddenly changed.

My father, Heron… Laid me gently into the carriage, and covered me in blankets.

"These should help keep you warm on your way to the Fiberus Empire…" My father said, as he covered me half way.

Soon after, he shut the carriage door and waved goodbye to me. As I went off, I could hear the sounds of faint gun shots everywhere.

I could hear an ambush going on just outside the carriage, All the knights surrounded the carriage protecting me.

"Stay inside your highness, it's too dangerous "

I could see that one of the nights looked extremely scared as he said that. I laid back in my seat while imagining what the crown prince actually looked like…

Suddenly the side Where the carriage entrance was shook and I saw from my window was a huge muscular man wearing a fancy royal Uniform.

He Lunged the door open a huge swing*bang* having the door flow all the way open.

"So… you're my new bride? You look a little expressionless compared to your sister, who has refused to marry me"

"I'm sorry fo-"

"There's no need to apologize…. You've done nothing wrong"

That's when I realized, he was the rumored Crown Prince, Rowun. Rowun shut the carriage door and hugged me.

"Since I'm here … I might as well ride to the palace with you…"

I blushed slightly as he held me in his arms, he wasn't as ruthless as in the rumors, he just has his own reasons for being who he is.

As we arrived at the palace I could see the look in his parents eyes as he came out with me in his arms.

"Rowun! What happened with the both of you?!"

"Relax father..I just took a ride with my soon-to-be wife"

I could tell by the look in his eyes that he was ready to get this wedding over with.

"Let's head to the temple so that we can get this wedding over with"

Soon His stepmother, the empress…glared at him as though he committed an ungrateful sin. We arrived at the altar with me in his arms.

"There's no need for all this unnecessary stuff.. just give us the rings.." Rowun had demanded as he was holding me in his arms.

The Priest of the temple Gave Rowun the rings and Rowun then put the rings on both of us.

Which each said our I do's and kissed each other at the altar.

Soon after we headed into the palace and he carried me all the way to our bedroom.

"No one disturb us.." Rowun said as he laid me down on the bed.

It's me! I'm sorry I didn't post much or finish up my chapters since starting a bunch of other stories, I've been caught up on doing my schoolwork and Getting through daily life.

Episode 1 of "Orea and the Temple of Peace" is now Released...yes there will be at least Five volumes but for now I'm only Sticking with this one.

Please bare with me, I've been extremely busy with a lot and would love to get to know all of you 🫶
