In this world, vampires and humans coexist as enemies. The humans run half of the world called the Lotus Empire and the vampires live in the Blood Empire.

The Lotus Empire was founded by the goddess Lotus. Lotus was a wise goddess who was friends with the dragon named Lord Revenge. Lotus and Revenge worked together to create the world we live in today and divided it in half, everyone lived in harmony until one day, Revenge sought to kill the humans so vampires could thrive.

Lotus had to use all her magic to destroy Revenge which ended in her death and the world to be divided. To this day war rages on with no sight of end. And it has been over 1,000 years since then.

My name is Leon Ricardo, the 40th price of the Lotus Empire and today is my coronation. In the Lotus Empire, it is tradition 1 week before crowned I must go and hunt my first vampire.

"Are you ready to kick some vampire butt!?" My younger sister asked.

I gave her one last hug and got a pat on the back from my dad before I departed to the great mountain divide.

As the carriage went along I was so excited I felt I could run there myself! I trained to do this my whole life, and now I can. When we got there you could tell where you were at, it was covered in black grass and thorny red roses the color of blood. There was a thick fog that tip-toed around us the wind.

While walking through the forest I only had the moonlight to guide me on my journey with sword at the ready. I don't remember much before I fainted, but I do remember a girl with ruby eyes that shined and hair dark as the night sky, she wore a silver dress like the stars and a crescent hair clip.

I woke up in a luxurious room with paintings and murals along the wall along with a crystal chandelier that reflected the light similar to a mirror.

"Where am I?" I said aloud.

"My daughter rescued you, filthy human." a deep, stern voice said beside me.

"Who are you, where am I, what is today's date and who's your daughter?" I said in a panic.

"Hahaha!" the mysterious man boomed.

"My name is Shadow, the 38th Emperor of the Blood Empire. You are currently in the western mansion also known as the Vampire Mansion. Today is October first therefore you have been out for two weeks and my daughter does not concern you." he said coldly.

The door suddenly opened and the same girl I saw before I fainted was there.

"Father, what are you doing to the poor gentlemen before us?" as the man's demener suddenly changed.

"Della, I shall be with you in a minute. Please wait outside." he said softly

"Yes father." she said half-heartedly while she close the door.

"Now" he said turning his attention back to me.

"Who exactly are you?"

"Who am I?" I repeated a little taken aback.

"I'm Leo, yeah, Leo from an isolated part of the Lotus Empire" I said in a panic.

"Really, you remind me of a prince with orange hair, pale pick eyes and vanilla skin. He also happens to have a similar name, ever heard of Prince Leon, Leo?" he stated perceptively.

I froze, orange hair is a symbol of royalty and I have orange hair! Not to mention my eyes and skin too.

"I actually have scalp problems, my real hair is blond!" I decided desperately.

"Your Highness" a soldier said.

"Your daughter awaits you in the dinning hall"

"I'll be right there, just a moment." The man said.

In a cold whisper he said "I'll be back Leo"

A chill went down my spine as he left, I didn't know what to think or the outcome, but I wasn't thinking good.

...[In the dinning hall]...

"Father, I have interesting news." said Della.

"You may speak" The man said.

"The crown prince of the Lotus Empire went missing one week before crowned."

"That is quite interesting indeed, did the man in the room perhaps remind you of someone?" he asked his daughter.

"I apologize Father, but I only saw him briefly and can't compare him to anyone." Della said sadly.

"Of course, tell me if you have the chance." he said hesitantly.

"Yes father." Della said blankly almost like she didn't care about anything anymore.

"Then I shall be the first to depart." Mr. Shadow said walking away from the table.

As Della sat there motionless you could tell she was hurt by her father's "affection" tourds her.

When Della finally left it was silent and calming as the ocean breeze. When the servant took the dishes away you could barely tell anyone was there.

...[In Leon's Chamber]...

Back in Leon's chamber Leon is on the balcony with the chilly, spring, afternoon clouds and cold wind that seems to dance with the grace of a ballerina.

"I miss my family so much, I miss Michael too. I have no idea what I'm going to do. I miss the eternal nice weather and never-ending love I received."

Suddenly, eerie footsteps could be heard approaching from behind me, a chill went down my spine as got louder. CLICK, CLACK, CLICK, CLACK. As the figure comes nearer I begin to turn around slowly and cautiously.

"Good evening Leo, how are you feeling." Della said as she leisurely walked up to me.

"Ummm, I am feeling much better, thanks Della for all you've done for me." I smiled sweetly.

"OHHH, you mean saving you in the forest and then proceeding to bring you back to the mansion? Or convincing by father to actually let you stay here while keeping your head on your shoulders at the same time?" she said sarcastically with a faint hint of sadness in her voice.

"Yeah, that, thank you." I ubrupltly became shy.

"How are you though, just you?" I asked.

"Me, I'm the daughter of the 38th Emperor of the Blood Empire, Sir Shadow Revenge. As the crown princess of these lands I shall not tolerate such insolence on my father, or I's behalf!"

As proud as that sounded, her face didn't really seem pleased with the title. Then she stormed out like I did something wrong, who does that!

...[Throne Room]...

"Sir, there is an urgent problem at the 4th outpost" a knight reported while crouching on one knee.

"A whole group of elite knights from the Lotus Empire have gathered and are surrounding us."

"Shit, send Trent and Brandon to negotiate" Shadow said with anger behind his cold face.

As the knight left another man approached Shadow. He had brown hair and golden spectacles along with a green, neat attire that suited a noble.

"Your Majesty, may I have a word with you, preferably in your meeting chambers?" the strange man calmly yet sternly requested.

"Say it now, or say it never." said Shadow.

"Miss Della and Leo haven't been spotted on the territory since morning."

...[Four Hours Ago]...

"Hey Della, WAIT!!!" I said chasing after her.

"I have a proposal you're going to want to hear!" and then she abruptly stopped.

"What!?" Della said.

"Let me explain and DO NOT interupt until I'm finished, understand?"

"Sure..." She stated.

"OK, the royal guards from the Lotus Empire have infiltrated the 4th outpost and if we can fool them, you can get inside information about the Lotus Empire while providing them with misinformation. If you pack quickly we can arrive in an hour, got it?" As I caught my breath as her expression slowly formed.

From what I could tell, she looked amazed and stunned, then again, she is impossible to read and anything can happen.

"You know what, sure. But if you screw this up your last moments will be described by "head roll" so better not be messing with me, clear?" Della said as if we were enemies.

"Crystal!" I said jokingly.

"Then meet me in my room when you finish. You have thirty minutes." I said before departing.

About twenty-five minutes later Della knocked on my door, so I put a little spice into my answer, as a prince I am expected to know multiple languages, so I spoke to her in Solich.

"Hola Della, ¿estás lista?" I said happy as ever.

("Hi Della, you ready?")

"Sí, te guiaré al cuarto puesto avanzado. ¡Vámonos os rápido!" She says confidently.

("Yes, I will guide you to the forth outpost. Let's go quickly!")

"Alright, you win." I sadly say as we hurry along.

When we get there not one knight or guard is in sight, so I suspect they don't know of their arrival yet. I tell Della to stay put as I talk to them, so I walk over and aren't sure what to make of it but, dad and sister are in the row leading the march?

As sister sees me she jumps off her horse and runs over to me joyfully with a bounce in her step and embraces me.

"Sis, I need your help."
