They use to fight, laugh, eat, cry and play with each other. They weren’t siblings but yes they were best friends. At a very young age lily’s mother passed away due to her illness. This made Lily goes through trauma her father could not give her more time as he use to be busy with his work. Richard became Lily’s soul mate as he was the only one she could trust on after her father. They both became comfortable to each other they were just inseparable. Somehow their emotions grow deeper Richard promised her that he could give up his life for her and protect her forever. But unfortunately, Lily had to leave her town for few years because of her father’s work.

Few years later everything was going normal until Lily entered senior year at same university as Richard. Lily’s affection for Richard was somehow the same she could always recall his each and every word. Richards care and love so affectionate that Lily could not hold on to her feelings and she confessed her old grown feelings to him. Behind her back he started dating another girl Lily wasn’t aware of this. She loved him unconditionally as the time passed her feeling for him were more deeper somewhere, somehow Richard did felt the same but was not that sure. Their love was in the air both were happy together until the time Lily found out about his cheating on her. This ruined everything Lily slapped him tightly with as much as force she could gather. Lily with the numb face and shivering hands walked.

Richard felt devastated as he saw her tears. He thought over and over but the only thing he could think was Lily numb face and her tears. He realised that what he did was wrong and he really love her. He came running to her with expectation of forgiveness .He looked into her eyes apologized and asked for another chance .But she turned her face and refused to accept him and before could say another word she slapped him again and used harsh words and walked away. Even after that bitter word what he could feel was her broken heart and ripped feeling for him. So this made his feelings even stronger than before. He made his mind to not to give up no matter what it takes. He tried and tried even after several times of rejection his aim was stronger to melt down her heart with his warm love once again.

When she saw him suffering badly she came out of her house she saw him standing straight behind the gate. She walks towards him and stops in the middle of her ways. She looked at him and he looked back at him their eyes met. She couldnt stop herself and ran towards him and hugged him tightly he hugged her back the tears flow down her cheeks. The boy saw her face and asked her to forgive but the lily replied “So you are home finally” and smiled. HE wiped the tears on her cheeks and pulled her towards his chest and said I am sorry that I am late but yes I am home and I will never let you go.

She couldnt stop herself and ran towards him and hugged him tightly he hugged her back the tears flow down her cheeks. The boy saw her face and asked her to forgive but the lily replied “So you are home finally” and smiled. HE wiped the tears on her cheeks and pulled her towards his chest and said I am sorry that I am late but yes I am home and I will never let you go. Lily said no matter where I go but I swear my heart will only beat for you. Richard feels awkward hearing this but he replies that “Your heart beats for me because its mine, so make sure to use it properly because the day your heart stops my existence would be nowhere. Lily stops him and asks him to never to repeat this again. Richard says same applies to you. Lily asks Richard to leave for now and come back tomorrow and meet at the same place where they use to hangout as couple. He widens his smile says “I love you” and leave.

Next day in the morning when the girl didnt arrive he waited for hours he was unable to contact her made him worry he got back to her place where they last time me but he couldnt find anyone. He is shocked to find out that lily and her family wasn’t there he search for her madly. But not so far a neighbourhood lady asks him “Are you searching for her son”. With a numb voice Richard says”ye-yes do you know where are they, Please tell me if you know anything. The lady feels bad for him and says please son don’t cry although she is a sweet girl Lord had written something like that for her already let’s just hope for her well being. The boy wipes his face and asks the lady please tell me what’s it?

The lady with shocked face asks him don’t you know that she needs a heart transplant. Richard is thrilled to hear this then the lady replies “Yes son I thought you must have know this she is suffering from a heart illness same as her mother”. Back at his home he thinks a lot again and again he can’t stop his tears. What he knows was the girl and her heart .He took out all the details about her.

Meanwhile, there are no hopes dad maybe these are my last few days to live. Hearing this father break out with tears he hugs her and says “I am really sorry that I am helpless but I can’t see you go this way as your mother. Lily fakes a smile and asks him to take care of himself as well as her step sister. The father replies “Okay I will but is there something i can do for you, what about Richard. She smiles and says “He said his heart is mine and that enough for me”. Suddenly her smile fades and tears flows out of her eyes she starts screaming dad help meee.....She is operated in operation theatre. Her father heart starts pounding and he joins hand and starts praying.

Weeks Later................

(Knock on the door)

In front of the door a tall boy with parcel in his hand says mam there is a parcel for you. She replies “Oh, Thank you” With a big smile on her face. She turns around just before opening the parcel a strong voice calls out her name “Lily”. Lily turns around to see the man and “Dad” her smile widens. It’s been a weeks since your surgery and you are already home. Lily replies “Yeah! Actually dad i had something to sort out and her smile vanishes slowly. Lily’s father replies “I am really sorry dear I was really helpless back then as well as now. With a smile on face lily replies “its okay dad never mind. This makes silence between them then the father says “Okay then lily I’ll catch up with you later I’ve got to go. Lily drop him till the door and sits back quietly on couch alone in the home she thinks about everything happened to her lately. Slowly she closes her eyes and recall everything she feels the presence of Richard and opens her eyes and starts calling out his name and search her whole house but she couldnt find anything else than their memories.

Day past, month past and slowly a year past. But the boy was nowhere to see he didnt even came to meet her. The neighbourhood lady tells lily that he did search for her the day they were supposed to meet. Lily asks the lady if he came after that. The lady replied “No, he never came back after that but,..., Lily politely asked the lady “Never mind and not to talk about him again. The lady nods her head and leave .Lily closes the door after the lady leave and return back to couch and finds a dairy left behind by the lady she holds it just then her father comes and tells lily “Dear it’s time to go for your treatment” and she keeps the dairy and leave with him.

After the completion of treatment when she completely recovers she returns back home. She meets each and every nearest and dearest one and also gets well wishes she spends the day with her old friends and feels happy. After spending the day when she is set all alone she thinks it’s been a lot time since she have been happy like this . She looks into each and every room with numb eyes when anybody asks her why she is crying she replies “No, I am not crying, I am just soaking each and every memories of my life that i have missed........While roaming around she finds a dairy that she left behind the day she had to leave for her treatment. She opens the dairy addressed as Richard, She closes the book with anger and throw it on the couch and walk away to her room. She looks into mirror and her eyes are teary and red she screams out loud saying “Why! Why did you do this! , Was this supposed to be end this way!... , Am I the only one to get hurt by you, Why you didnt even had a glance just for once” (And she continues screaming and crying) . She feels a heavy sensation in her heart and its beating fast. She touches her heart which is beating fast .Suddenly she stops crying & run back to place where she threw dairy addressed as Richard with the shivering hand she holds the dairy. when she opens it she see a big heart with the name engraved in it ‘lily ‘.she turns the pages where she finds out each & every happy memories they spend together while reading her tear s flow down through her eyes passing the cheeks still she turns the pages & finds out a letter in it which was written by Richard to her.
