When The Sun Shines On Your Mismatched Eyes

Chapter one: When We First Met

...As I walk through the park, the wind blows gently....

...I inhale, taking in the sweet scent of my natural surroundings....

...The trees, the leaves, the flowers; only moving ever so slightly....

...I smile, clearly happy. The grass filled with daffodils and other lovely things....

...----------------...

...Soon, I approach a brown bench, a boy with earphones laying upon it....

...I sit down where space is apparent, my arms held near my body....

...I watch him closely, his eyes fixated on the diamond blue sky— the wind blows, and he flinches just a bit....

...As if tired of staring at the sky, he sits up to rest his feet on the concrete, and out the corner of his eye, he then spots me....

...----------------...

...Our eyes meet for more than intended. I take in the ever so delicate and the ever so soft features of his face....

...His curly hair swaying along with the wind as he took out one earphone....

...We exchange no words, our eyes talking in this quiet space....

...My mind then wanders to know why he was laying here alone....

...----------------...

...The sun shines a soft beam which highlights the boy's eyes....

...My expression— fascinated at his mismatched beauty; the boy then avoiding my gaze....

...I tell him, "I find your eyes unique." My words clearly taking the boy by surprise....

...He stares back at me, a shy smile playing on his lips. His smile looks so sweet— contagious enough to paint a smile on my lips too....

...----------------...

...I take in his features once again; I notice a group of freckles that are scattered around his nose, near his eyes and on his cheeks....

...A nervous 'Thank you.' escapes his lips as his body now sits near to mine....

...I laugh quietly, shifting closer to him. Our gaze then interrupted by sounds of rustling leaves, yet I want nothing more than to hear him speak—again....

...Our closeness only increases my curiosity. The sweet aroma that lay upon him ever so divine....

...----------------...

...I look back at him, him back at me. The sudden unison making us laugh....

...Before I could say a word. He asks me a question, "What color do you think we can make?"...

...I shrug, not knowing the answer. The boy passes me a reassuring smile, as if happy to know I didn't have one....

...His eyes focus on mine, my eyes focus on his. I believe that whatever happens now will only be fate....

...----------------...

...After the leaves dance around, we start a conversation....

...His voice soft and gentle— a lovely melody....

...Occasionally, I glance over at the flowers. Every word I want to say is always stopped by hesitation....

...Yet he is patient and calm; for someone he just met, he's treating me with the utmost lenity....

...----------------...

...We don't notice the hours as time flies by— the sunset now our alarm....

...He stands up to leave, yet I stop him with a simple, "Wait." before we part....

...The air is cool, the wind is whistling, now the scene is ever so calm....

...His expression stays sweet and friendly— "Xavier." he tells me, "Xavier Hart."...

...----------------...

...The boy, or should I say Xavier, waves me goodbye as he walks away....

...Today, I had an encounter— one that I'll never forget....

...The sunset warms me up as I stand up to end the day....

...I only walked through the park to admire its calming nature— but who could've guessed that today would be when we first met....

...----------------...

...End Of Chapter One....

Chapter Two: When We Meet Again

...My mind wanders to the day I had met him....

...I recall the conversations that had taken place....

...The chances of reuniting are distinctly slim....

...Though, I'll still check by the bench — at our quiet space....

...----------------...

...Yes, I walked to the park again, just wishing to see him once....

...I sat there on that same bench, on that space where I had been....

...The breeze whispering coldly, giving me slight goosebumps....

...At least I had my jacket on, it kept me warm as I stayed keen....

...----------------...

...I didn't stay there 'til sunset, I waited a few minutes then left....

...I made my way to the garden — I loved the flowers truly....

...I admired their colors, trying to see which one suited me best....

...Until I saw a Hydrangea and a lovely Blue Daisy, subconsciously reminding me of Xavier's mismatched beauty....

...----------------...

...As I looked at the two flowers that swayed with grace....

...I took a picture to capture the beauty I had once before seen....

...I smile, recalling how Xavier's eyes sparkled due to the Sun's embrace....

...I look up to find the clouds floating through the crystal blue sky — soon invisible, becoming unseen....

...----------------...

...As I sit there, my mind seems to wander to the thought of Xavier....

...His smile is one so sweet, his eyes are ever so unique, his aura friendly and calm — a charming person who stole my heart....

...I still ponder on our next encounter — whenever that may be....

...I smile at the lovely memory, "I hope this is a start."...

...----------------...

...As the days fly on by, Xavier never leaves my mind....

...I remember the gaze we shared, one that caused butterflies....

...Our conversations were memorable — our ideas intertwined....

...This growing feeling of love feels impossible to suppress — when it can only rise....

...----------------...

...I decide not to reminisce too much, I have no desire to feel obsessed....

...I put on my cozy jacket and walk to the neighborhood café....

...I hum a familiar melody, one which can be expressed....

...Soon, I reach the café — a peaceful place to be today....

...----------------...

...I walk into this homely area, the fragrant aroma is pleasing....

...As I make my way to a table, I expect something imminent....

...As if on cue, my purse slips out through my fingers....

...I pick it up in a hurry, brushing shoulders with someone on accident....

...----------------...

...I occupy a table, placing my jacket next to me....

...I reach for the menu, skimming through options to eat....

...A waitress approaches me, her demeanor as polite as can be....

...She then takes my order and I sit there patiently....

...----------------...

...My eyes wander to the window as I watch the scenes outside....

...The cars are moving swiftly, the people walking carefully....

...There are funny scenes and wholesome scenes — a smile I cannot hide....

...The atmosphere feels so calming because everything fits naturally....

...----------------...

...A few minutes pass in a blink of an eye, the waitress setting my meal down....

...I tell her, "Thank you." my smile genuine and kind....

...I enjoy my meal, loving every second — this is the best place in town....

...Done, my satiation satisfied — now paying for the meal was on my mind....

...----------------...

...A cleaner arrives to take my plate as I walk to the cashier....

...After the payment, I walk out of the lively place....

...Once outside, the breeze dances past me, "Did my jacket disappear?"...

...I step back into the comforting area, walking to the table I was by — my jacket wasn't there which struck fear on my face....

...----------------...

...A tap on my shoulder eased my panic as soon as I turned around....

...Xavier was standing before me with my jacket and a smile....

...He asked me, "Is this yours?" his words somehow leave me spellbound....

...I nod, taking back my jacket as I gaze at him since it's been a while....

...----------------...

...Again, we're both standing there our eyes never breaking contact....

...I'm seeing his beauty for the second time, and I've never been so amazed....

...I want to say something to him, but hesitation is what I can attract....

...Until he takes a step closer, his eyes twinkling with realization....

...----------------...

..."It's you." Xavier said, his smile now bright....

...My lips nearly part to reply until a faint 'Xavier!' is heard in the distance....

..."My friends are calling me," he said, "It was great seeing you again." Xavier leaves to join his friends and I smile at the site....

...I exit the sweet café, wearing my jacket as I walk home, "What a lovely coincidence."...

...----------------...

...As I look at the sunset reflecting off my window, I feel rather content....

...The feelings I had felt today were some I could not explain....

...I say it's a lovely coincidence — a day well spent....

...Who could've known that today at the café would be when we meet again....

...----------------...

...End Of Chapter Two....

Chapter Three: When We Got To Know Each Other

...I walked to the park again, thinking of Xavier....

...I thought about our encounter — at the café....

..."Why do I always think about him?" I thought, what is this weird behavior?...

...I want to see him — but I doubt that it'll ever happen again....

...----------------...

...I reach the bench where I had first met him....

...I sit down and relax as I look up to gaze at the sky....

...I hope for him to appear but I know those chances are slim....

...The sky is clear and pretty — the clouds move slowly as they wave me goodbye....

...----------------...

...I close my eyes and again, my mind is filled with thoughts of Xavier....

...I think of his smile, his hair, his freckles and most importantly — his eyes....

...I don't understand why I always think of him, I could never do myself a favor....

...Yet I don't blame myself, Xavier is so kind to me — a person I simply cannot despise....

...----------------...

...I sigh as I open my eyes, "When will I ever see you?"...

...The breeze dances past me, refreshing but cold....

...My eyes close again and this time, my mind is blank too....

...I can hear the leaves rustling and the wind whistling — a sweet melody that can randomly unfold....

...----------------...

...All tension is soon lost — my relaxation is now evident....

...I fall asleep on the bench, my body as still as a statue....

...The minutes go by and now someone else is present....

...This someone sat beside me, placing my head on his shoulder and all he said was, "It's you."...

...----------------...

...Pressure became my ear's best friend as I woke up, stirring slightly....

...I see a pair of legs — which aren't mine....

...I know I should be startled but the aura embracing me was so lovely....

...I lift my head up and rub my eyes — I look to my left to see whose aura was so divine....

...----------------...

..."Xavier?" said I surprised, I was resting on his shoulder?...

..."Hey." he said with a smile. Looking me straight in the eyes as well....

...It's the third time we've met — this is real, not sympathy or closure....

...I smiled, gazing into his eyes again, "Mismatched beauty." I say, as if it were a secret I wasn't supposed to tell....

...----------------...

...Xavier looks at me astonished, I realize my words and I'm about to apologize....

..."That's — quite nice." He said, easing my worries. "Do my eyes fascinate you that much?"...

...I nod and smile at him, but now there's something I realize....

...I love his eyes — Xavier's eyes, "I've never seen eyes as such — gems."...

...----------------...

...Xavier blushes, clearly flustered, "People don't usually like to look at me," he said, "But you — ever since the day we met, you couldn't stop staring."...

...I'm embarrassed but I'm confident, "It's because your eyes are beautiful — they're an attraction." I replied, "A Hydrangea and a Blue Daisy, gems that I couldn't get you out of my mind."...

...Why would I say this? I barely know this guy, yet his smile makes me feel like we've been around each other for years without even knowing....

..."Thanks." Xavier utters, there's a hint of crimson across his freckled cheeks. Have words this sweet never been uttered to him before? If not — then I'm glad that it was me — the source of the sweet words he could find....

...----------------...

...Now, we're in the same position again — his eyes are locked onto mine....

...This time it wasn't an encounter but a meet up which was sublime....

...His eyes were glistening and glimmering — teal was the color they made....

...I'm in love with the situation I'm in, my feelings feel like a cascade....

...----------------...

...Just like the day we met, we're looking into each other's eyes....

...After the leaves danced, we started having a conversation, our ideas again — intertwine....

...His favorite color is violet and he loves the park and the sky....

...Our closeness is back again, my curiosity turning into incline....

...----------------...

...The sunset arrived again, ending our conversation on cue....

...This time we exchanged numbers because coincidence kept us longing....

...Xavier walked into the sunset — there's that lingering sense of déjà vu....

...Then I walked home, smiling. I have his number now when meeting him was all I was desiring....

...----------------...

...Today, I got to know Xavier and he got to know me....

...Again, I saw his delicate features and his mismatched beauty....

...We talked for hours on end, there's a spark which I hope he can see....

...And, I'm slowly falling in love — with Xavier, who is so lovely....

...----------------...

...Have I talked about him enough? I can't seem to get him out my head....

...I have never been so mesmerized — so fascinated by a guy who I just met....

...Did I mention we talked for hours? I can still remember all the things he said....

...Oh, how it was a shame we had to depart because of the sunset....

...----------------...

...Eyes as beautiful as flowers, eyes which sparkle like gems....

...Eyes I could stare at for hours, lips that smile with content....

...Hair so fluffy and soft, freckles that make you look cute....

...Your voice is a melody I love listening to, and I think I may be in love with you....

...----------------...

...Today was beautiful, Xavier is beautiful....

...I have a sheepish smile painted on my lips that I won't even bother to cover....

...There's a blush on my face and I'm happy — my day was great and thoughtful....

...This is spectacular! This feels immaculate! — who could've known that today would be when we got to know each other....
