A little boy named Carlo lived in the center of a busy city, where tall towers threw lengthy shadows across overcrowded streets. Alex wanted to be a positive influence in the world ever since he was able to understand it. However, destiny had different intentions for him, as Carlo was born into a well-known mafia family.
Carlo has been in a world of danger and secrets since he can remember. The sound of expensive wine glasses clinking and the words of his father's collaborators were heard from his luxurious mansion, which was hidden behind imposing iron gates. However, beneath all of the majesty and extravagance, there was a hint of fear—a feeling that danger was always around and would strike at any time.
Carlo was blissfully ignorant of the real purpose of his family's business, even despite the strange atmosphere that surrounded his house. He was protected from the worst parts of his parents' lives by them, who insisted that he concentrate on his education and make use of the benefits his family's money had to offer.
However, despite their best efforts to shield him, Carlo was unable to shake the uneasiness that was eating away at him. He felt that his family's money and power deceived what appeared, and he was eager to learn the truth that lay beyond the respectability outside.
Carlo's curiosity only grew as he got older. He started to ask questions. His parents responded to his innocent inquiry with delayed answers and harsh dangers. Carlo's resolve to learn the truth about his family's background, despite their best efforts to keep him from knowing, only got stronger.
Then calamity came one terrible night, breaking Carlo's world into a million sharp fragments. In an attempt to destroy his family's empire, a rival group attacked their house viciously, killing his parents and setting their mansion on fire.
Something inside Alex snapped as smoke filled the air and flames licked at the sky. Overwhelmed in sorrow and rage, he took an oath of revenge upon the graves of his parents, promising to find and punish those accountable for their demise.
However, there remained a glimmer of hope—a tiny flicker of light that would not go out—amidst the chaos and slaughter. Carlo clung to his parents' affection and kindness in the face of the darkness that was about to overtake him, finding strength in their life teachings.
Following the assault, Carlo was taken over by a darkness he was unable to resist. He gave up on his ideals of kindness and accepted the brutality of his background, using a heartless ambition to climb the ranks of his family's business.
The naive child who once aspired to improve the world was no longer there. He was replaced by a tough man who was revered and feared by everyone who came into contact with him. Like a snake shedding its skin, Carlo discarded his previous identity and joyfully adopted the persona of a merciless evil.
Carlo realized that he would never be the same guy he once was as he gazed out at the flaming ashes of his former existence. The evil that overtook him would always determine his fate, and the innocence he had lost would never come back.
However, there was a ray of hope—a tiny flicker of light that would not go out—among the ashes of his past. Carlo realized that, despite his transformation into a criminal in the eyes of the public, a part of him secretly yearned to return to the good-natured youngster he used to be. And he promised himself to cling to that glimmer of hope, no matter how small, while he embarked on his mission of vengeance.
Quote of the day;
"Are Monsters born or Created?"
Carlo was thrown into a realm of darkness and misery following the tragedy that took his parents' life. His childish glee was lost in the crackling of flames and the tortured cries of the injured, while the once-gleaming halls of his family's mansion lay in ashes.
Carlo was adopted by his father's best friend, a cold and cunning man who considered the little child as little more than a pawn in his drive for dominance after no one else was left to take care of him. Carlo's youth, under the careful eye of his new guardian, blurred into a world of luxury and terror, a fine balance between the privileges his family's wealth gave him and the constant threat of violence hanging over his head like the sword of Damocles.
It had never felt more oppressive in Carlo's world, even with all the luxury around him. The once-bright home now appeared to be a prison, its glittering hallways haunted by the ghosts of his parents' memories and the shadows of his own history. Despite his best efforts, he was unable to break free from the gloom that seemed to be taking over him. He wished for the warmth and affection that had once filled his house.
Carlo realized as he got older the true nature of his family's business—the corruption, the brutality, and the never-ending cycle of betrayal and revenge that shaped their existence. He saw the comings and goings of his father's friends, whose allegiance was purchased with promises of wealth and safety only to have it snatched away by rivals or personal greed.
Nevertheless, there were brief flashes of generosity that broke through the gloom like sunlight through storm clouds, even in the middle of the chaos and sorrow. Especially in his darkest moments, the remembrance of his mother was a constant source of comfort; her soft voice and tender touch were a beacon of hope in the depths of despair.
However, there were a dozen instances of abuse and indifference for every one of kindness. Carlo had no mercy from his harsh and cruel guardian, who forced him to do well in school and brutally efficiently taught him the ins and outs of his family's company. Carlo gained knowledge from him on how to use power as a weapon, controlling others around him to achieve his goals and safeguard his fragile sense of identity.
Carlo's innocence started to fade as the years went by, and was eventually replaced with a rising sense of disappointment and hatred. He was always frustrated and resentful of his rivals since they seemed to be living lives of luxury and privilege without any awareness of the harsher realities of the outside world. Even while he was eager to escape the bonds of his family's history, he was aware that doing so would require abandoning everything he had ever known.
Carlo was thus forced to choose between the brightness of his early aspirations and the shadow of his family's past as he approached puberty. The shadows got darker every day as if they would eventually engulf him and pull him into the hole he had created for himself. But in the midst of everything being black, there was a tiny glimmer of hope—a light that would not go out despite endless challenges. And knowing that his decisions would influence his future in ways he could never have predicted, Carlo stood on the edge of adulthood.
