Chapter 1

Where am I? Where is this place? Though I got to say, the ceiling looks beautiful, designed like flowers, with golden edges to the petals for each of the flowers. Okay I need to focus, ahh but this bed is wonderful, it’s so soft and big and very fluffy if I may add, and this room is bigger than my small apartment. Geez, which princess lives here.

“My lady, you are awake!! Everyone, the young princess is awake!!” Proclaimed a young woman, kind of short, but very cute.

Eh, wait what just happened...? Did she just call me a princess?

She walked up to a mirror, and she saw her face, surprised as anyone would be. She was different… She had curly rose hair, her eyes were like ocean water, clear and bright. She also has very delicate fingers, slender and long. Her height was about 164 cm, an average height in the modern days.

Ahhh, wtf happened? I think I fell into a story book?! Is that even possible? Is this where people go after they die, into a story book?! But I got to say, the owner of this body, you are truly beautiful. So according to how the story goes, a strange girl came from a different universe, met the crown prince, then they fell in love with each other. But the antagonist of the story will try every means to get the crown prince’s love all for herself, and of course, she never succeeded. In the end, the protagonist and the crown prince got married, and the antagonist got beheaded for doing all those things to his love, the protagonist, after he became the king.

Ahhhh why do I have to be the antagonist!! I don’t want to die yet, but luckily, there are still 10 years before the protagonist comes into this world. I have to break off all the connections I have with the crown prince before all of these happen. I don’t want to die off yet, especially not right after I just reincarnated, that would just be a waste of a body.

Anyways, I think I need to introduce myself. My name is Maddie CeltiIf, that is before I came into this world. If I remember correctly, I think… I GOT INTO A CAR ACCIDENT! That day, I was running out from my office because there was a stalker who kept on following me since that morning. That stalker left the building when I was leaving too, so I ran as fast as possible, to the nearest police station. But I guess I got hit after I ran across the street. Pretty stupid of me, huh? Anyways, the owner of this body is named… errr… CELESTINA BENNETTE!!!

“My lady, … h… how ar… are you feeling?” Asked the maid.

“I am doing alright, thank you for asking.” I replied.

The young woman seemed surprised, she was hesitating and stuttering when talking with me. Was she scared of Celestina?

“Ah, um… may I ask for your name?” I asked.

*Does the lady not remember me? Well it’s true since SHE’S the lady of the house. Oh how I wish I don’t have to serve her anymore, this arrogant brat. But then again, I am literally asking her for my head to be chopped off.* (In the maid’s mind)

“Uhh, m… my n… nam… name is B… Beatrice, my l… lady.” Replied the maid.

Mmmm, it seems to be the case, she is scared of me.

“So um, Beatrice, it seems that I have lost my memories, can you help me recall some of the things that happened before I fell into a coma?” I asked Beatrice.

Chapter 2

“Ah… ummm… ” Said Beatrice.

*Why is she asking me all of these things, can’t she just read the newspaper? She does have eyes, and before she never asked us anything, now she is? What is she thinking? But I mean, at least her temper isn’t as bad as before. Maybe she changed?* (In the maid’s mind)

“Well, the crown prince was sick for a week, my lady.” Said Beatrice.

“Did I ask about the crown prince? Why did you tell me about the crown prince?” I replied.

“Well, umm… my lady, it’s because you always seemed fond of the crown prince and you always demand us to inform you of every movement of the crown prince” Replied Beatrice.

“Oh that’s right, I forgot to tell you guys this, I actually want to cancel the engagement between the crown prince and I. After I woke up from the coma, I realized my love for the prince wasn’t that strong, so I fell out of love with him. Also from now on, call me Celestina, or Tina, stop calling me, ‘my lady’. ” I said to Beatrice.

Beatrice gasped as anyone would, no one would have thought that Celestina, who was deeply in love with the crown prince, would not even care about him after recovering from a coma.

Sigh, why do you have to be so troublesome sometimes, how blind can you be to love this stupid crown prince. ← *Talking about the original Celestina* Now I have to take care of your engagement with the prince in order for me to survive. I just want to be a normal girl, living in a normal house and having some TRUE friends. Sigh, I guess those thoughts will have to wait.

“Umm… Are you sure my lady?” Asked Beatrice.

“Yes, because I feel like I have been unkind to all of you before and now I want to change those attitudes of mine. So this will be a good start for me, don't you think so?”

After a few days

Sigh, now that I have rested a bit, I should get started with the plan. Mmmm… I think I need to meet up with the emperor first. In the novel, he doesn’t seem like a bad person, he always helped Celestina to try to win over the crown prince’s love. So maybe he will also help me break off the engagement with the crown prince.

“Beatrice, I am going to head out for a second,” I told Beatrice, “I won’t be gone for long and you don’t have to come with me, I want to be alone for a while. ”

“But Tina, you have a meeting with the crown prince soon. Will you at least stay for a bit before leaving?”

“Wait, did you say the crown prince is going to visit me? With the emperor?”

“Yes Tina, I see that you still like the prince huh? Fufufu...” Joked Beatrice.

“Hmph, anyway, it is not what you think it is, help me set up for the prince and the emperor’s arrival. And I need to bring my father there as well.”

It seems like god is on my side, I need to make sure that I can call off this engagement.
