In the temple built at Gayatri Niwas, Panditji was standing in front of Maa Durga and performing her aarti.

Right near him, Gayatri Devi was also standing who was wearing a cream coloured silk saree + was clapping and singing aarti.

At a glance of Gayatri Devi wearing a necklace of expensive pearls around her neck and pearl flowers in her ears, anyone would understand that she belongs to a rich family.

All the servants of her house were also standing behind her with folded hands.

Gayatri Devi's attention was on the door of her house. She was looking towards the door again and again. As if they were waiting for someone to arrive.

As soon as prayer was over, Panditji while giving Aarti to Gayatri Devi asked..

Pandit ji:– Gayatri ji, today Madhu beti (daughter) has not come yet?

While taking the Aarti, Gayatri said...

Gayatri:– I am also thinking the same Panditji, why Madhu has not arrived yet. 🙂🙂 Every day she comes sharp at six in the morning, but today even holy Praying is over but she has not come yet.🙂🙂 There must be something wrong otherwise she would never have been late.🙂🙂

She looked at her servant Ramesh and ordered in sweet yet cold voice..

Gayatri:– Ramesh, call Madhu and ask why she has not reached yet.❄️

Ramesh:– "Yes madam"

Ramesh immediately left from there to call. Gayatri came and sat on the big sofa in the living room.

Seema, her maid standing nearby, asked her..

Seema:– Grandma, shall I make breakfast for you?

Without giving any answer, Gayatri picked up the receiver of the phone kept on near sofa-table and started dialing a number.

On the other side, bell was ringing but no one was picking up the phone..

She tried again but this time also no one picked up..

Gayatri Devi got upset and placed receiver on table.

Seema:– •standing nearby•

Seema:– Grand madam, you have to take medicine also. Shall I make your breakfast?..

Gayatri ji:– •Angry tone• 😠😠

Gayatri ji:– Go away, I have lost my appetite..❄️❄️💢

Suddenly a voice came from the front..

Unknown:– And why have you lost your appetite, hmm!?🤨🤨

On hearing the voice, Gayatri Devi looked towards the door.

Where a 23-24 year old girl was standing at the door wearing a yellow short kurti and churidar. Who had a green scarf around her neck. Fair complexion, dark brown eyes with a little bit of kajal applied on them. A long braid which she had thrown over her right shoulder. Light pink colored lipstick was applied on the pink lips. A strand of hair of that girl falling was on her lips which is further enhancing her beauty. She had a bag hanging on her shoulder and was standing with her slippers folded in her hand.

Gayatri smiled as soon as she saw her.

Gayatri ji:– 😊😊 Madhu...

Madhu threw her slippers by the door and entered the house. She touched Gayatri's feet and said,

Madhu: "Good morning, Grandma." 😊

Gayatri smiled and caressed Madhu's head.

Gayatri Ji: "Good morning, Beta." ☺️

Gayatri Ji: "By the way, why were you standing with your slippers in hand, and how come you are so late today?"😟

Gayatri asked while getting up from the sofa.

Madhu smiled innocently and replied,

Madhu: "Ah...😅😅 Grandma, today I missed the bus, and I had to come on foot. These slippers betrayed me on the way as one broke..."

Gayatri bent down to inspect Madhu's slippers.

Gayatri Ji: "Madhu, these are completely broken, Beta.🙂 You should have thrown them in the bin on your way here.🙂 Why did you walk barefoot?"😐

Gayatri Ji: "You could have taken an auto-rickshaw."😑

Madhu simply smiled and set her bag on the sofa before heading towards the kitchen.

Madhu washed her hands with the soap kept near the kitchen washbasin, then took out some fresh mausambi (sweet lime) from the fridge and returned to the living room.

She placed the plate of mausambi on the table, sat on the floor, and began peeling the pieces.

Gayatri was sitting on the sofa, looking at Madhu with a smile.

Madhu: "By the way, Grandma, this is very wrong.😾 If I’m a little late, you should have had breakfast.😾 You also need to take your medicines, and you know it’s my responsibility to take care of you.😾 If your blood pressure and sugar levels go up-down even by one per cent, I’ll lose my job."😿

Gayatri smiled and said,

Gayatri Ji:– "Dear, I know that you bring tea and breakfast from your home, but you still have to drink this tea for me. Do you understand?"☺️

Madhu smiled back and said,

Madhu:– "Yes, Grandma, I understand."😃

With that, Madhu laughed, and so did Seema.

Gayatri Ji:– "By the way, you didn't tell me why you came on foot and not by auto?"🤨

Gayatri asked while picking up the newspaper.

Madhu picked up her cup of tea, sat on the sofa, and said,

Madhu:– "Grandma, you don’t know anything. These auto drivers overcharge people. They charge a hundred rupees just to travel a short distance."😬

Hearing this, Gayatri smiled and said,

Gayatri Ji:– "Don’t say anything further, dear... I understand why you walked so far."(⁠ʘ⁠ᴗ⁠ʘ⁠✿⁠)

Madhu smiled as well. She quickly finished her tea and told Gayatri,

Madhu:– "Grandma, your breakfast will be ready in just ten minutes. I’ll prepare it now."(⁠•⁠‿⁠•⁠)

With that, Madhu picked up a cup of tea in one hand and a plate in the other and headed to the kitchen.

Gayatri followed her with a smile.

Just then, Gayatri's mobile phone started ringing.

She was thrilled to see "Rohit" written on the screen. While answering the call, she said,

Gayatri Ji:– 🤙🏻"Rohit..."(⁠ ⁠╹⁠▽⁠╹⁠ ⁠)

Rohit:– 🤙🏻"Good morning, Grandma! How are you?"(⁠☆⁠▽⁠☆⁠)

Rohit asked from the other end.

Gayatri smiled and looked at Rohit's photo on the table.

Gayatri Ji:– 🤙🏻"Hearing your voice makes me feel fine. If you come and I see you, I won’t even need our medicines."^⁠_⁠^

While driving, Rohit responded,

Rohit:– 🤙🏻"Grandma, I won’t come because as soon as I arrive in India, you’ll be nagging me about marriage. You'll organize a fair of girls from all over the area just for me, and I’m not ready to get married yet."😤😤

Gayatri placed the photo back on the table and said,

Gayatri exclaimed joyfully.

Hearing her reaction, Madhu and the other household staff rushed to her side.

Madhu placed her hand on Gayatri's shoulder and asked,

Madhu:– "What happened, Grandma?"🙁

Gayatri didn’t respond, but Rohit spoke from the other end,

Rohit:– 🤙🏻"Yes, Grandma, I'm coming. I called to inform you that we will all be coming to India very soon."😁

Hearing this, Gayatri was overwhelmed with happiness and became emotional.

Rohit asked,

Rohit:– 🤙🏻"Grandma, who was that voice I heard behind you? Isn’t it that girl Madhu who takes care of you, and whose name you’ve been chanting all day?"🤔🤔

Gayatri Ji:– 🤙🏻"Yes,"😊

Gayatri replied, smiling at Madhu.

Madhu also smiled back at Gayatri.

Rohit continued,

Rohit:– 🤙🏻"Grandma, I have to hang up now. I need to pack for my trip to India."😊

Rohit:– 🤙🏻“Take care of yourself.”😊

Rohit:– 🤙🏻“Bye...”👋🏻
