God made the Earth and the heavens in the beginning. The abyss was dark over its surface, the Earth was empty and formless, and the spirit of God hovered over the waters. (Books of Genesis, 1–4)

As the Earth took shape under God's design, a celestial order was established with angels—called the guardians, watchful beings entrusted with the task of overseeing both the living and the non-living in God's stead.

Heaven's bestowal of peace and harmony was short-lived. Today, we recognize Samael as "Lucifer," translating to "The Light Bringer," who orchestrated an uprising that shattered the celestial tranquility.

For all fallen angels, devils, and grave sinners, there awaited Hell. The consequences of the rebellion echoed on Earth, where the coexistence of good and evil became intertwined with humanity.

Among the fallen, one angel succumbed to curiosity, voluntarily embracing sin. His descent into Hell marked a tragic turning point. Now residing in the depths of damnation, he is burdened by regrets and surrounded by burning desires. Serving Lucifer for the remainder of his existence remains his only option.

In the midst of the fiery abyss, his life took an unexpected turn when God, in His infinite mercy, chose to grant him another chance. However, this opportunity came with a profound condition—he would undoubtedly retain his celestial powers, but only if he could coexist with people. The path to redemption and the possibility of returning to heaven became intertwined with the success of this newfound duty.

Seven missions awaited him, each corresponding to one of the seven deadly sins. The Almighty, forgiving to all creatures, initiated a contract, and this mission would last for a hundred years. God ensures ample time to fulfill the seven duties.

As the hourglass descended, the sands within it became the measure of his redemption. The remaining time would determine the outcome of his quest. In the divine contract, God's assurance echoed through eternity: 'I will be with you today, tomorrow, and forever, my child. Remember that.'

After a drop of blood falls, he suddenly finds himself in an unfamiliar room. Before him lies a golden book that unfolds on its own.

'A deal has been agreed. This is where all of your missions are listed. One of them will show up here in the book of records once you've finished it.'

Glancing around, Leviathan sees a demon spawn in front of him. The figure is unmistakable — it's Lucifer, someone he's grown accustomed to.

"Lucifer," Levi mutters.

Lucifer smirks, responding, "It is pleasant to meet you, my dearest friend."

"Master," Levi looks up to him.

It becomes apparent that Lucifer understands why Leviathan is here on Earth. He gestures towards the golden book on the bed.

"You might have seemed taken aback, but Dad can be unpredictable," Levi continues.

Lucifer laughs, "Dear old dad and his so-called plans."

"What's your plan?" Levi asks.

Lucifer replied, "As usual, I'm fulfilling my father's wishes by working. I bear the burden as the King of Hell."

"He didn't give you a second chance?" Levi seemed confused.

Lucifer looked at him, "A second chance? It won't be feasible."

"You make a valid point, but why did he pick me?" Levi inquired.

Lucifer smiled, "Just go play along with him for 100 years."

"I will stay by your side forever. Go where you please, master. I'll accompany you. I was with you in heaven, I was with you in Hell, and I will be with you throughout," Levi declared.

Lucifer hushed him, "I don't think we will be together indefinitely. I'm sure you'll leave me eventually."

And once more, Lucifer left him hanging. Despite the brevity of his final message, it still wounded Levi, the prince of jealousy.

It was Levi's first day of life on Earth. He summoned an enslaved person to accompany him on his explorations of Earth, embracing humanity while figuring out how to behave as one.

"What is the next destination?" Levi asked.

Lucas replied, "To the mall, sire."

"Is that so?" Levi seemed excited.

They strolled through the mall, and Levi enjoyed the admiring looks from many people. Demons like him were alluring to humans, especially when assuming a human appearance.

Lucas guided him to an established restaurant around the corner.

"Whoa! What's in this place?" Levi was invested in the meal.

Lucas introduced it to him, "This is called Star, sire. A place where only celebrities can afford to dine. You are the envy of many; thus, I'm sure you have the money."

"Lucas, well said. I'm quite honored. Now let's get inside." Levi was about to enter when he was stopped.

Levi charmed the guard, who appeared unsure of who he was, and gained entry without trouble.

The waiter asked him, "What would you like to order, sir?"

"I want the most expensive meal you have," Levi charmed the waiter as well.

The waiter nodded, saying, "I'll be right back, sir."

Every moment became recorded in history the instant he tasted his first extravagant meal. After 95 years on Earth, he had lost interest in everything and was bored.

Levi stayed at home with a view of the ocean. He found his calling after speaking with his slave.

Lucas said, "You know I have no right to ask, but do you not want to return to paradise, sir?"

"What makes you say that?" Levi inquired.

Lucas looked like he had regrets, "You've been offered a chance, so why don't you seize it?"

"With Lucifer, I've already gone through them all. I must complete the remaining four years and return to Hell," Levi stated.

Lucas laughed at him, "Are you so devoted to your boss, sire? Even though Lucifer finds pleasure in everything, he is ultimately forced to remain in the abyss. This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance; won't you try to steer yourself in a different direction?"

"Why do you believe that? It appears you are one of them, aren't you?" Levi looked at him.

Lucas removed his facade, "I'm here to tell you I did my share. Now, for the next four years, do your share. Leviathan, it's time for you to do what you wish. Although you are Lucifer's subordinate, you were once an angel like the rest of us. Now that you are with the humans, you should make the most of every opportunity and, for once, discover your purpose in life."

"Wow! What a message. I was surprised," Levi smirked.

Lucas smiled at him, saying, "I'll let you go if you can respond to me, but if not, you'll need to figure it out for yourself."

"What is it this time?" Levi asked.

Lucas replied, "Who are you?"

"Who am I?" Levi seemed uncertain.

Lucas nodded, "Yes, who are you?"

"I don't know," Levi admitted. It was time because, although he thought he had an answer, it was insufficient.

Levi received the book from Lucas and opened it. As he turned the pages, all seven missions were revealed.

Lucas said, "Time to pave your path, Levi."

With that, Lucas disappeared, beaming, and returned to heaven.

Levi slept it all out after experiencing discomfort. He wondered if he was daydreaming, believing that everything would return to normal when he woke up.

Upon waking, Levi saw the hourglass and realized he had four years left to live.

"I'm sorry, Luci." Levi whispered as he touched the hourglass.

Fate

Years ago, people believed that angels were the first inhabitants of the Earth. Everything was peaceful and perfect until, slowly, humans became corrupted. They were no longer satisfied with what they had and began to yearn for more—greed and envy took root.

In a benevolent gesture, an angel once blessed a couple who couldn't bear children. Unfortunately, their joy was short-lived as the couple met a tragic end in an accident just a year later.

DECADES PASSED, Levi decided to forge his own path by establishing a business as he embarked on a quest to discover his calling. His company specializes in risky and illicit activities, reflecting his affinity for warfare.

In less than a year, he successfully expanded the company and established a prominent reputation in various ventures. He is now widely known as the "King of Business." The illicit ventures that defined his earlier years gradually gave way to a more conventional and legitimate path, navigating the intricate world of corporate strategies and alliances.

Levi celebrates his 97th birthday alone this year, and it turns out to be rather uneventful. He feels bored, tired, disoriented, and lacks excitement.

Someone knocks at the door. "Boss?"

"What?" he groans.

Matthew says, "Here are the documents about the contracts you made yesterday."

"Ah, those humans. Greed is born within them," he smirks.

Matthew prepares a cup of coffee for him, saying, "Do you need anything else besides coffee, boss?"

"Nothing. Leave it here on my table after," he said.

Matthew nods, "Copy that."

IN THE SPACIOUS and tastefully decorated office of the XYZ Foundation sits its founder, Syron Devoux, a man who attributes the foundation's existence to generational wealth. A father of three biological children, Syron's commitment to philanthropy has reshaped his role from corporate leader to a figure dedicated to making a meaningful impact on the lives of others.

"Mr. Devoux, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude for your willingness to contribute funds for the development of the charity for children," said the client.

Syron responds, "It is a great honor and pleasure to be part of the foundation and development of it. My late wife always wanted to be part of this community."

"Is there anything we can do in return, Mr. Syron?" the client asks.

Syron nods, "I've been considering adopting a child."

The client seems surprised that Mr. Devoux expressed a desire to adopt a child.

"We are delighted to hear it from you, sir. I will ask the children and give you their profiles," the client says.

Syron nods, "Notify me as soon as possible, then."

"Noted, sir." The client leaves afterward.

After a few months...

"Sir, Syron? You've called me?" Celeste looks at him.

Syron smiles, "You're here just in time."

"What is it?" She seems annoyed.

Syron hands her a list, "Here are the potential candidates you can marry."

It seems like she knows this is coming AGAIN.

"I've told you many times about this." She sighs.

Syron chuckles, "I can't leave you all alone. You've been through a lot because of me. You need someone to be at your side."

"I can handle everything on my own," she says.

Syron shakes his head, "Just give it a try. If you can't find a suitable one, you'll become an old lady."

"I'll do the usual thing, Dad." She hugs him with a warm smile, and they both laugh together.

IN THE ELEGANT AMBIANCE OF DEVOUX RESTAURANT, Gianne delivered a firm message, "Madam, you must meet him at exactly 9 am."

"Should I? Can't I just cancel it and ask to reschedule?" she sighed.

Gianne looked at her, "Madam, you know you can't. He will not tolerate you avoiding this kind of meeting."

"Fine. I'll give him 30 minutes." Celeste walked straight.

As she approached the area, she saw a man's figure – a man reading a book sitting in front of her. She sat down quietly.

She checked her phone to set a 30-minute alarm and immediately crossed her arms in front of him.

"Is that supposed to impress me?" Celeste faked a smile.

He glanced at her, "Mhm."

"I just want you to know I have no interest in marrying," she said.

He slowly put down the book, taken aback by his handsomeness.

He said, "It isn't my concern whether you are interested in our blind date. I would prefer it if you sent me your bank account."

"Perhaps have we met before?" she chuckled.

He replied, "Definitely not."

"Are you one of my exes?" she asked.

He smirked, "You should remember me then."

"So you're not someone I know or my ex. Where are your manners, sir?" Celeste looked intensely at him.

He sighed, "Humans are all the same. They don't matter to me."

"What's with this handsome jerk? Why should I suffer for this kind of thing?" Celeste thought.

"It seems you like messing around?" she said.

He replied, "I'm here to enjoy my meal."

"Go ahead and eat. Don't mind me being here," Celeste said.

Levi thought, "What's wrong with this human?" Seeming to lose his appetite, he continued eating while Celeste observed him with a quizzical look.

"Why did you stop?" she asked.

Levi cleaned his mouth, "I'm done."

"Huh? What do you mean you're done?" she dropped her utensils.

Levi said, "Hope we don't meet again, human."

Celeste was left speechless. Since she always left first, it was the first time a man had left her in the same manner.

She called her dad to share what had just happened, and he laughed as if there were no tomorrow.

"You've got a taste of your own medicine," he said.

She chuckled, "I told you I don't need a man."

"What should I do with you, huh?" he sighed.

She said, "I'll go to the office. See you later,"

Celeste hung up the phone and promptly left the restaurant. She approached Gianne to inquire about any scheduled meetings.

Luckily, there weren't any meetings, but she needed to verify some necessary paperwork. Celeste promptly took the documents to be verified and passed them to her dad. As she scrutinized the paperwork, she focused on details involving sales and the products set to be released by the end of the month.

IN THE CONFINES OF LEVI'S OFFICE, frustration was evident in his words, "That human wants to test my patience. She even has the nerve to say those words."

Interrupting the moment, Matthew opened the door, breaking the tension, "Boss? Someone wants to meet you."

Levi looked up, "Oh! You came just in time, my queen."

Addressing the lady, Matthew offered, "Can I interest you in a drink, your highness?"

The lady nodded with familiarity, "The usual, Mat."

Levi smirked, "What made you come here to look for me, Lilith?"

"Let's say I'm here to ask for a favor like old times, Levi." Lilith gave him that look.

Levi laughed, "What's in it for me then, my queen?"

"Something you've wanted for a very long time." Lilith sat on his desk.

Levi used his powers to make her get closer to him. It seemed he was being entranced by the gaze of her eyes.

Full Moon

Lilith approached Levi, seeking a significant favor—a situation he found troublesome to reject, especially when dealing with the Queen of Hell, just like in the past.

Levi shut his eyes. "Stop doing that, Lilith."

"I'm not doing anything," Lilith grinned.

Levi chuckled. "Acting innocent again, huh?"

"Anyways, can you lend me your time for an event?" Lilith showed him the invitation card.

Levi took the card. "Why not let Lucifer go with you?"

"He doesn't like to go with me," Lilith sighed.

Levi said, "Why me then?"

Lilith stood up, crossing her arms in front of him.

"I have no other choice. You are my last option," Lilith bit her lips.

Levi crossed his legs. "What will I have in return?"

"What do you want?" Lilith asked.

Levi had a hard time thinking about what he wanted at that moment when suddenly something came to his mind.

Levi grinned. "You wouldn't mind for a wish in the near future, right?"

"I have no problem with that," Lilith said, handing him a contract.

Levi signed it, "It is a deal then, my queen."

After three days, Levi donned his tuxedo on his way to attend the event. He immediately spotted Lilith waiting in the corner.

Lilith held onto him, and they walked together on the red carpet.

"Whose party are we specifically attending?" Levi asked.

Lilith replied, "Hers."

"Huh?" Levi checked who she was mentioning.

Levi saw a woman in her late 40s making an introduction. She was about to announce the person behind the event. A familiar scent of a woman wafted through the area.

"Did you just release pheromones?" Levi looked at Lilith.

Lilith shook her head. "It wasn't me."

"Then who?" Levi seemed to be burning with desire.

A familiar woman stepped onto the stage with an alluring smile that made Levi check her out. He appeared surprised by her domineering confidence.

Lilith clapped. "Her."

"I know that woman," Levi said.

Lilith smirked. "You know her, human?"

Levi left Lilith to talk to the woman. He used his power to get her attention, and he succeeded.

"What are you doing here? YOU!?" she said.

Levi silenced her, saying, "I'm also about to ask that."

"It is the event assigned to me by my father." She saw his eyes.

Levi moved closer, "I hope this will be the last time we meet, human."

"Without a doubt. I'd rather not run into you again. It was only a coincidence," she said before leaving him.

The party ended earlier than expected, and Lilith bid her farewell to him.

"I'll go now. I'm tired," Levi said.

Levi traveled to the top of the clock tower and looked at the night sky.

Celeste sighed, "Do we have to make a deal now?"

"If you don't want to, then I'll just let you die," Levi stated.

Celeste begged him, "Fine. I will make a deal; ensure I won't die."

Levi opened the car door and took her away, placing her in a safe area before resuming time. He noticed her hiding in the corner, so he walked towards her.

"Remember our deal?" Levi extended his hand.

Celeste slowly grabbed it while looking into his mesmerizing eyes. A bright light reached near them.

The truck was approaching them at a rapid speed. Levi tried to stop it, but it didn't work. Celeste wasn't able to hold onto him.

Levi jumped to save her. They both fell into the water, and he held her in his arms.

Celeste noticed she could move around when she saw the man who saved her. She held his hand to go out into the deep water. She managed to pull him out, and they both felt unconscious afterward.

Levi was the first person to wake up, discovering his hand mark had vanished. When he noticed the person beside him, he stopped worrying about where it might go.

She received the transfer of the mark. Before the water arrived to wash them, he grasped her hand. The abrupt halt of time caused the woman to awaken.

"Hey, can you stand up?" Levi shook her.

Celeste opened her eyes, "Mhm. Am I in heaven?"

"You wish. We have to go; we are both wet," Levi said, observing her eyes.

Celeste saw him, "Oh my god, did we just?"

"No. Come, I called my butler to fetch us." Levi carried her bridal style.

Celeste couldn't say anything because she felt embarrassed in front of him.

Matthew saw them, "Boss! Uh, who's that?"

"I made a deal with her," Levi said with that look.

Matthew chuckled, "Ah. I can see."

Matthew believed they did something together because Levi was unaware they wore thin clothes.

"Do you need anything?" Levi asked her.

Celeste said, "New clothes."

"That is given," Levi smirked.

Celeste looked at her tummy, "Uh, breakfast?"

"Sure. What is your name, human?" Levi checked her.

Celeste looked at him eye to eye, "Celeste. Celeste Devoux."

"Celeste, you must stay close to me from now on." Levi held her hand.

Celeste was confused, "What?"

From then on, Levi lost his powers to a human. Although unsure of the primary cause, he was sure it had to do with the woman.

Hearing them converse, Matthew couldn't help but chuckle at their conversation.
