When I saw her
Being an orphan I was a simple boy who worked in the temple
My work was all about waking up early and cleaning the premises
but the sudden illness of the priest led me to "General's forest"
The thick forest that spread miles in between the town and the sea was named after a myth
Ppl from faraway villages came there in search of medicinal herbs but even those folks from far knew not to enter the forest after the sun sets and moon shines
coz that was time for the "creatures of night" to raise
I had been going to the forest in search of medicinal herb for a week
I feared that before I do the priest would be called by the lord
with the horror of being hunted by the creatures, going deep into the forest became difficult
But that day I had no choice
The priest who gave me shelter and a purpose to live was in the death bed.. I had to get the herb before it was too late
As I marched in I lost the track of time.. I realized I was at the other side of the forest when I heard the waves crashing the land

OH NO!! I won't be able to go out of the forest before the sun sets!!
After few minutes I came in terms with reality..

This is how the 21 years I had led is going to end..
The Bewitcher
Her red expensive silk skirt fluttered along with her jet black hair
The thin fragile looking lady stood by the shore unfazed looking at the horizon with no thoughts
when the waves touched her feet she looked down.. again with no change in expression
May be that was when she felt my presence.. how could she not when my gaze became more intense with her every movement
She turned her head towards me.. her slender long finger tucked the hair that disturbed her sight, behind her ear
flawless skin with a beauty mark down the corner of her right eye .. Full lips.. small sharp nose.. long black lashes and a very unusual red eyes
her eyes that matched her dress made her look non-human

(realizing) *what if she is a creature of the night!!... there is no way an existence like her could be human*
But that sudden thought disappeared in no time
looking at her I was lost again... her eyes that met mine pushed me into a world of fantasy where I saw only her and nothing else
I was not mesmerized...
I was BEWITCHED by her beauty
In my sight where only she existed, I didn't think twice before following her
she walked into the forest as if she knew every tree in there
She didn't say a word nor looked back at me who was behind her like a dog wagging its tail
But I had to snap back and force myself out of the fancy when I saw the huge mansion in the middle of the thick forest
The mansion
A century ago lived a General who was known for his great administration
He was even more well known for loving his wife soo dearly that he built a huge mansion in the middle of the forest for her
The wife had requested the mansion as the wedding gift
But before they could even c the full constructed dream house of theirs, the family was m@ssacred
rumors said the killer was not a human.. few believed it was the creature of night who saw the family as its prey
The murderer remained unknown.. the case was left unsolved.. and the only witness of the murder was silent
the wife who had lost her whole family in one night was devastated to be the only one survived
The wrecked wife walked into the forest in search of the mansion where she was supposed to spend her life with her beloved husband
And the wife was never seen
Since then the forest which was beautiful became the cursed house of the creature of night who followed her to the forest

*without a doubt this is... this is the General's mansion!*
I stood at the gate of the gorgeous building
It surely was a old traditional mansion but it was well maintained
from the glowing lights in every room to the flowers in the huge garden
The mansion that was supposed to be empty for a century looked like the place someone had been living for years

r u.. the ghost of General's wife!?
That was the only conclusion I could draw
Her feet stopped, and I held my breath
the worst she could say was "yes" but the woman had to scare the sh;t out of me

That was when I finally saw the sky turning orange
My end was near... it was either by trying to find my way out of the forest in the dark and become prey to creatures of the night or follow the lady who lives in a huge mansion and appears to be a ghost or spirit of a dead woman
and yes! I chose the latter, if I had to die I would rather die in the hands of the stunningly generous beauty, than in the mouth of vicious creature of night
