Inside a bar, lights were dim, loud music were playing in the background, some people were dancing crazily on the dance floor, while others were drinking and chatting.

At the bar counter sitting a girl in a black dress drinking a cocktail, she was checking her phone time to time. She was looking like a beautiful yet seductive demoness. Suddenly her phone started ringing, she looked at the caller ID before picking it up, the person on the other side said something and the girl creased her brows, "Alright" was the only thing she said before hanging up.

The bartender looked at the girl and asked if she need another drink, the girl looked at the bartender and smiled before declining. Seeing the girl smile at him made the bartender blush. She picked up her purse before leaving the bar.

On the second floor of the bar sitting a man lazily at a sofa, the person beside him was saying something but he didn't pay much attention and nodded time to time.

"Mr. Shaw you finally came out to have a drink with me" said the other person. He was asking him out almost every day since last week but the man always declined. He was planning to introduce his sister to this Mr. Shaw but never got the chance. Today when he(Mr. Shaw) agreed he was very happy, he called his sister to inform her and told her to come here.

Suddenly a phone started ringing, his(Mr. Shaw's) assistant who was standing beside him picked up the phone, after listening the report of other person he said something to the man(Mr. Shaw), the man looked at the other person before standing up, "I have to go" the man said and started walking away, the assistant gave a apologetic look to the other person before running after the man.

As the bar was inside the hotel they were staying, they directly walked towards the elevator. "Where is she?" asked the man to the assistant.

"She headed towards your room" said the assistant.

When the elevator came, they both stepped in and the assistant pressed the floor number.

As the door was going to close, they heard a girl's voice.....

" Wait" and then a slander white hand came between the elevator door, the door opened again, then they saw a girl in a black dress entered the elevator, she pressed the floor number, seeing this the assistant wanted to say something but then the girl closed her eyes and leaned against the elevator wall, the assistant looked at the man behind the girl, the man remained expressionless so the assistant stopped himself and didn't say anything, but the atmosphere became a little chilly inside the elevator, feeling cold the girl rubbed her hand on her shoulder but didn't open her eyes.

When the elevator reached the top floor the door opened with a ding, the girl opened her eyes to see the floor number, seeing she reached on her floor she stepped out the elevator and started walking towards her room. The man also stepped out and walked towards his room, the assistant heaved a sigh, wiped his sweat and ran after the man.

Bang - Bang, Bang - Bang....

"Mia...my baby, my sweetheart, my darling, please open the door."

Miaaa~~~

Mia who was having a headache because of the continuous ringing of her phone and banging on the door, threw the pillow and blanket on the ground in fury, climbed off the bed and went to open the door.

Mia come on, open the door, I know you're not sleeping, Mia.....suddenly the door opened with a click, the person who was shouting continuously to open the door, looked at the girl who is standing infront of him and gulped his saliva down. He forcefully smiled and was going to hug the girl, when she just dodged him, the man stumbled a little but somehow steadied himself. He pouted and his eyes became watery, he looked at the girl and said cutely "Mia....you know I was busy last night so I couldn't come to see you, please don't be angry, you know how much I love you."

"Busy....your ***, wasn't you just messing around" Mia said angrily.

" How was I messing around, I was working."

"Working, then why wasn't I informed by the company??" she looked at him accusingly.

The man looked at her guiltily and said " it....it wasn't related to the company work".

"Oh...so our Mr. Gibbs were playing the detective game again", then thinking about something she asked " Does Devin know??"

The man didn't say anything.

"I won't help you this time" Mia said directly and went to sit on the sofa.

The man became sad, he followed her like a puppy and sat down on the carpet right beside her leg....she could imagine a real dog sitting on the floor, she really wanted to pat this dog's head but she ignored him.

The man became tensed, then he said with watery eyes...." Mia this time the pay was really high, and the work isn't very tough, the other party only need some information, even if I failed to get that information they won't deduct my fees. Please just cover up for me one more time, I will give you 20% of my pay."

"Eric I don't need your money, but I won't help you this time....you stood me up yesterday, you know how bored I was, and I even have to drink alone, you deal with Devin on your own this time" said Mia.

The man looked at her like a lost, abandoned puppy and said with exaggeration " You're leaving me alone in my most desperate time, you're abandoning me when I need you the most, you know only you can help me, you're the best person in my life, the love of my life, my savior, my.....before he could finish Mia interrupted him and said " Save your flattering words for Devin."

Eric knew she is really angry this time so he racked up his brain and said " I will work as your slave for a week." Mia was a little lazy when it comes to house chores, so after giving it a thought she said innocently " Only one week", Eric knew how lazy she is, he doesn't want to work as her slave, because he knew she will really treat him like a slave, but he doesn't have any other option, he really need her help this time, so he said " How about one month?" and looked at her with expectant eyes,

" One month is not enough but I'll make do with it", then she said " I will tell Devin you were with me last night but this is the last time."

Eric became happy and said "I knew it, I knew it, my Mia will never abandon me, she will definitely help me, I will buy you a gift."

Mia could see his wagging tail, deep inside her heart she knows that this will happen again, and she will help him again, cause she just can't ignore this cute little puppy.

" Ok, I'm hungry, go order something for me", with that she went to the bathroom to freshen up.

When she came out to the bathroom....the breakfast was on the coffee table and Eric was waiting for her while holding his phone, then his phone started ringing, he looked at the screen and became a little nervous, seeing him like this she knew who was the caller, but still asked " Who is it?"

Eric looked at Mia and the nervousness on his face was gone....he became relaxed, "it's Devin, this is his 5th time calling, please talk to him", with that he gave the phone to Mia.

"What's the rush, I'm hungry let me eat something first", then she picked up her coffee before sipping it. Eric was going to say something when the phone started ringing again, this time it was a video call. Mia looked at Eric and accepted the call, the screen changed and they could see a handsome man sitting on a office chair, "Hi Mia, where is Eric??"

" Hi Dev, Eric is having breakfast with me"

"Oh" said Devin, " Why wasn't he picking up my calls??" he asked.

Mia looked at Eric who was clasping his hands and silently requesting her to help him, " Well, he just drank a lot last night so he is having a hangover, he doesn't want to make you worried so he didn't pick up your call."

"Is he alright??" asked Devin in a worried tone.

"He is feeling much better now" Mia said looking at Eric.

"Please pass the phone to him" Devin said, Then Mia gave the phone to Eric.

Eric who was fine a moment ago suddenly became pale, he took the phone and started his award winning acting...." Good morning dear".

Devin ignored his greeting and looked at him seriously "Did you really drink that much??"

"ofcourse, ain't I looking like that", Eric said pouting his lips.

"Why??" Devin asked.

"Oh, I was just missing you very much", Eric lied through his teeth while looking innocent. 'Who told you to leave me alone for that stupid meeting' he thought to himself.

Devin stared at his face for a long time before sighing loudly.....then he said to take care of himself before hanging up.

"He knows" Mia said to Eric, Eric looked at her, smiled and said "I know, but it's fine as long as he didn't point it out by himself". Last time they had a quarrel over this, he doesn't want that again so he asked for her help, because he knew Devin won't say anything because of Mia, she is really his Savior.

Mia shrugged and they both continued eating their breakfast....she just doesn't understand why this fellow loves playing a detective's role when he already have a stable job with good income, while the other one didn't say anything even after knowing everything, this "Love Disease" really make people do the weirdest thing in this world.
