○INTRODUCTION (Pt 3)○
Silveradon Magistrates Court
The court room is empty, filled with an erie silence. That's when the the entrance door creeks open and the Magistrates enter into the court room. The silence still prevails...
Magistrates sat as benches of three. The Judge in the middle is the Presiding Justice, who acts as the chair. The other two judges, called wingers, sit on either side. All three magistrates contribute equally to the decision-making, but only the Presiding Justice speaks on their behalf in the court.
The Supporter or the Legal Advisor Was the next to enter. She is seated in the next row right under the magistrates bench.
The Advisor helps magistrates to make decisions, state the legal reasons that underpin the decisions and advise all parties at court on points of law, practice and procedure.
Then the Prosecution solicitor (the person who is trying to put the bad guy in jail) and the Defense Solicitor (the one trying to prove that the guy really isn’t a bad guy) entered into the room.
They are seated to each other, right in the row after the Legal Advisor.
Then the usher, (who is basically like a butler/ guide)enters and stands at the door. The Usher prepares the courtroom, greets people entering court, fetches the witnesses and checks the presence of every important individual.
