No matter how much you do your best to keep a relationship running it still comes to an end. Betrayal is painful especially, to someone who put their all and trusted someone they thought would never betray them. It was only after it happened to her that she realize how shallow a person can be. She thought that once she had succeeded everything would come to place. But what came after was betrayal. Everything was just fine until the day she found out the truth about her husband. Before her husband was against marriage because it would cost them a lot. They did not have the money because they used to be poor. But even after earning a lot of money they did not have any wedding.

Maple Bay is a very capable woman. She's an aspiring entrepreneur who owns her own big company. Her long silky smooth black her complements her beauty. She is really beautiful and dazzling. With smooth white skin and brown eyes. She had had been together with her husband as common law couple for 18 year. Furthermore, she endured the humiliation and pain of those years in relationship to give her daughter a complete family only to find out her husband's betrayal. Her husband, David was already married and even had three children. No wonder he did not want any marriage.

That afternoon, she came home to surprise her husband. But to her surprise she saw her husband in the living making out with another woman. She burst into the room.

"David, what's the meaning of this, how could you?" she said while on the verge of tears.

" This is Jessica my wife, and also I want to take this opportunity to break up with you" David shamelessly said to her.

"After all these years of suffering and this is what I get in return."

"It's not my fault that you were easily fooled" said while hugging the woman's waist.

"What about our daughter you should have thought about her? You never told me you were already married nor did you tell me to leave you" you could see tears flowing down her cheeks.

" You were just so gullible that I decided to use you for my own benefit. And I don't need you anymore, so I want you out of my house" David said with a smug face.

" How could you!? "She said.

"I never once loved you Maple I only have eyes for my wife after all."

"You scumbag leave I tell you leave this instant." she was furious after hearing him say that.

"You're the ones who should leave because this is my house"

"Nothing here belongs to you, I was the one who worked hard day and night to have all of this" she said to him.

" Maple, you don't get it do you this house is under my name everything is under my name" he proudly claimed. "What ..." then she remembered how he persuaded her to sign some papers without reading its contents "..no way ..you ,how could you" she was devastated to find out that everything is now gone.

She already had the speculation about his affairs but never dared to confirm it. Since once, she did that she may find something way more painful than anything. She hid all pain away.

"It would be much appreciated if you and your daughter could move out immediately. I want my family to live here, and they hate you people." he said with an evil grin on his face.

" The house....the company...is mine" her tears flowed down more. " You have no part in raising my company how dare you…" she added.

Then the lady beside David interrupted them saying

" Honey~~ let's go to the hotel… I don't want to stay in the same room with this whore…"

" Okay honey come on."

The pair left Maple in there sobbing for this revelation. Then night came, and her daughter arrived home from school.

" Mom...mom... I'm home…" this is her usual routine. Once she enters the house she comes in calling her then greet her.

Surprisingly it was unusually quiet.

Then she heard sobbing sounds. She followed the sound and found her mother in a poor state.

" Mom !...what happened? Tell me." she could not bear to see her like this.

"ACK….sob…sob…ACK.. I'm….so..sorry" Maple just stood there crying and apologizing.

Though she already figured it out, after all the only person that can make her cry like that would be none other than her good for nothing father.

" Mom, breathe...slowly now...breathe. Now tell me what happened." as she consoled her, Maple started to become relaxed. Maple told Liliana what happened.

"He's already a scumbag, yet it wasn't enough for him to tormenting you."

"David is still your father..."

"Well...then let's leave he was the one who told us to leave in the first place."

"We can't, I did my best for my business to grow. He must give it to me first."

"Mom..."

It was her life's work. Not just anyone could take it away from her. But things weren't so simple. Because all her authority was gone. The employees have long been on David's side waiting for the opportunity to strike.

"Let's leave this place, Mom. I have no attachment whatsoever to this place after all. Because life was like here." she eagerly said to convinced her mother to move.

" Then, what about your dad...?" puffy and red eyes.

"Having no father is better than having one like him." Affection never existed between them. As she was always against her father.

" Then it would seem like we were running away because we did something wrong." truly Maple loved the man and it was hard for her to let go.

" Mom, you don't get it. Dad took everything because he knows how naive you are. Because you're too kind and understanding that he had the audacity to steal and take your things."

Maple decided to move on for her daughter's sake with revenge in mind. She's not letting things go their way. She must get back everything. With that they left the city to seek her parents help.

They decided to rent an apartment in City A. The two discussed their future moves and how to proceed. Liliana, with three months left before her graduation, had to stay in City A until that day. " Oh you know the green project it was moved and we have to go to Quantum High for the gathering of every student council from every highschool in the city " he replied

" What time are we leaving? " she asked

" After first period, were going with Ms. Augustus "

" Okay, pick me up from my class "

" Got it "

" See you later guys " she went ahead

She arrived in her room and took out her pen and notebook then turned off her phone. Then a few minutes later the bell for the first period rang. Their first period was Mathematics. The teacher entered and the students greeted the teacher.

" Good morning Ma'am " the students greeted

" Alright class, turn off your phone put your notebooks inside your bag and we will begin our quiz "

In the dimly lit room, the air was tense as the lingering scent of anxiety hung.
