Dad's Veiw:
I was driving to our new home when I looked over at my daughter. She was sad with her head up against the window. I frowned, I knew she was sad since her mom died from cancer. We left the house because it had too many sad memories of her. We needed to move on in order to be happy, I now where my wife is watching that's what she wants. When we arrived I carried the stuff in while my daughter went inside. Her name was Anna. She is 11 and going to middle school.
I looked around the house and it was a nice place. I went down to the basement and found a door. I tried to open it but it wouldn't budge. A crowbar wouldn't even open it. I tried using a knife, but I only cut my hand. I gave up and just called the landlord. He said there wasn't supposed to be a door there. I hung up and brushed it off as him joking. There is no way a door just spawn's in the house out of nowhere.
I went back upstairs, I thought I heard the door creek but I dismissed it as the wind. A few days later I enrolled my daughter in a new school. I saw her on the bus and waved her goodbye. She didn't answer back and sat there emotionless. I decided to give her space.
Anna's View
I got on the bus and sat in the far back. I looked up to see a blue eyed blond boy walk up to me and sit next to me. I looked over at him and he smiled. I gave a weak smile back.
"Hey! my name's billy!" he said
"my name...is anna" I said shyly
"cool! you new here?" he asked
"yea..just moved" I replied
"nice!" he smiles
I smiled back better this time. This boy was nice. I saw another girl come and fill the last spot in the seat next to Billy. She had purple overalls and long black hair down. She also had dark green eyes. She smiled. We all got to talking and became quick buddies. I felt like I was making friends.
When I got home I ate dinner and headed to bed.
Dad's View
I was sleeping when I heard a noise but I stayed sleep. I barely noticed. In the morning I made breakfast and gave my daughter fruit loops with her favorite princess spoon and bowl. A few minutes into our meal. I noticed she was shaking and staring into her now soggy cereal bowl. I put my hand on hers and she looked up at me.
"Whats wrong Anna?" I said worried
"I-I-I saw a m-monster" she said stuttering
I figured she just had a nightmare. I told her to get ready for school. I watched her get on the bus still shocked. I decided to go in her room and look around. I didn't see any signs of the so called monster. So I knew she was having a nightmare.
When she got home I helped her with her homework and she seemed normal again. I was happy to see she got over her nightmare. I was cleaning the living room when I found some dirt on the ground. It looked like fresh dirt from outside and Anna was upstairs. I didn't know what to think of it so I just cleaned it up.
Anna's View
That night when I went to bed I opened my eyes and I screamed. I woke up to see something I never thought I would see. It looked like a creature but it was different. Its body looked like it was made out of tree roots covered in dirt. It was bald and as it turned to me I could see two stone shaped eyes. They didn't have pupils but I could tell they were angry. It had long claws that looked like sharp thorns. It was on top of me and looking right into my soul. I froze and it opened its mouth to reveal razor sharp stone teeth. It reached its really long slimy leaf tongue out. It licked my cheek and opened its mouth wider to take a bite. When It suddenly hit the wall and chlorophyll was all over my sheets. It must have been its blood, I could see a rip in its side. I see my dad pick me up holding an ax. It had bits of roots and soil on it. Along with the blood of the creature. We ran and headed towards the door when the creature jumped on my dads back and bit his shoulder. He told me to hide, I hid behind the counter and could do nothing but hear my dad fight that monster.
I took a peek and watched it bite into his side and rip out his flesh. I cried as I watched him die I tried to help him but the monster threw me into the counter. I cried over my dead dad and looked up at the creature, as the cops pulled up it gave me a toothy smile and jumped out the window. The next morning I went on the bus while the police did their job. I was to head to my aunts house after. I was crying as I got on the bus. I looked up to see my friend come on the bus. The girl in the purple overalls.
She sat next to me and gave me a familiar smile. I she lifted her shirt a little and revealed a bandage on her side. I froze and looked back at her. Her eyes were were stone and she grinned that same sharp stone grin.
I was drawing in my notebook when I sneezed. Then the ground began to shake. I fell out of my bed and I decided I had enough drawing. So I went downstairs. I was watching television for about thirty minutes. I sneezed again. The power went out. I was confused, after I sneeze that happens.
"Don't worry deary" said my grandma smiling "Just the generator"
I sighed in relief. I thought I was causing it. I guess I can let out this sneeze now. I sneezed and smiled. Next thing I knew a wind storm swirled violently outside, I went outside and my blue skirt waved in the wind. My long black hair was all around my face. I held on to my blue skirt and purple t-shirt and ran as fast as I could. I ignored my grandma yelling after me. Everytime I sneeze something like this happens. It was unsafe for me to be around everyone.
I sneezed again and a tree fell almost on top of me. I got back up and kept running, great I was now a danger to myself. I sneezed while running and a mans hotdog cart rolled down the street and the man ran after it. A car hit him and he was terirbly injured. I hope he makes it.
I sneezed again while running shortly after and a power pole fell on top of a woman's dog, killing it in the process. Electricity and blood, the woman sobbed and called for help. I knew it she knew she dog was done for. I kept running and tried to hold in my sneeze. Big mistake
I made a rather big sneeze and there was a car crash now too far behind me. There was cursing and angry people. I ran all the way into the woods, trying to forget the destruction behind me I caused. I found a cabin and went in. I saw an old woman in there humming at a table. She looked up at me and went back to humming.
"sorry I didn't know anyone was here" I apologized
"Ah...no need child" she said standing up "what troubles you to be all alone out here" she said gesturing me to sit next to her. I told her all about my sneezing, she nodded and said she knew someone who could help. I was excited, she handed me a map to a guy named Money Man. I laughed at the name, but she slapped my palm and said that he was no joke.
I took it seriously and ran back to the city, I tried to get to him but I slipped and fell. My map flew in the air and I felt myself going unconscious, It didn't seem right. I only fell.
I woke up on a hard mattress and saw the ceiling. it had was old and dirty. I looked around and I was in an old church. Obviously not in use. I saw a man looking at me. I asked him who he was. He said he was the Money Man. I froze, I told him everything. He gave me a green liquid, he said it would help. I sneeze and part of the ceiling fell.
I asked what was did was the price, the old woman had told me there was a price to pay. He said I would know. I drank it, it was flavorless. I ran back home smiling, I sneezed and nothing happened. I was so happy, I ran home to see my grandma crying at the news.
I looked to see that it said my parents had gone missing! I started to cry until I heard laughing outside. I ran outside to see my parents holding hands and with a creepy grin on their faces as they walk away slowly with the Money Man. The Money Man chuckled, I knew he was mocking me as he walked away with my parents. I could hear whispers saying "Theresss alwaysss a priceeeeeee" it hissed. I fell to my knees and crying.
