Twilight Sparkle was walking through the forest with spike. She and him were off to find a mysterious new flower, called MoonLight Death, to study its properties. 

"Eughhhhh how much longer do we have yo walkkkk" Spike groaned, rubbing his aching feet.

"Not much longer spike" Twilight reassured him.

They come across a small group of glowing purple and black flowers. They were absolutely beautiful, Twilight adored her new find. She immediately bent down and bit one out of the ground. She pricked her mouth on the thorns, her lips bled a little. So she decided to ask spike to gently pick them out. She piled a few into a satchel and started back home with her little helper.

She swallowed the blood, no time to wipe it off. Twilight made it home but fell asleep before she could study anything. The flowers in the satchel begin to glow. The venom she swallowed from the flowers moves through her veins. Her blood turns black as her eyes glow purple before closing shut again.

In the morning Twilight groggily gets out of bed. She walks into her restroom and sees her eyes a darker shade of purple, she figures its eye bag or something. She shrugs it off and gets ready for the day. She wakes up spike and feeds him before they leave the house. She meets up with her friends.

"I found a new flower type in the woods" Twilight explains.

"Ah there you go again Twilight, your always looking to learn something new. I admire a woman with brains like that" Rarity compliments Twilight.

"I think going in the woods alone like that sounds scary" Fluttershy says.

"Don't worry Flutters, Twilight knows what she's doing" Applejack reassures her.

"One time I was walking around and I saw a weird mushroom, I ate it and everything turned colorful" PinkiePie smiles

They just look at her.

"Anti-Way, I plan on running some test when I get home today" Twilight explains

That night Twilight does exactly that. She takes out one of the flowers and holds it up under a microscope. She looks and the cells are moving around, she takes wo flowers and puts them under it at the same time. Their cells meet, one cell looks at another. They look like their communicating. One of the cells appears as if it jumps onto the cell it's talking to and attacking it. The flowers move slightly as the cells attack the others. The second flower becomes wilted and all its color drained. It's as if they had a disagreement and one sucked the life out of the other.

Twilight stands back in shock, she bumps into the flower bag and they all fall out. One wraps around her hove, as she tries to take it off more wrap around her. The flowers grow and curl up around her body. Spike tries to help with a knife to cut them off but the flowers take the knife and stab him in the chest. Twilight cries out for spike to no avail, her vision fades to black as the flowers consume her.

Twilight wakes up in the flowers, their laying normally as she stands up. She feels a bit dizzy, she checks her body only to find no injuries. She looks up and sees spike laying dead on the floor. She cries over his body. Spike was with her for a long time, he was like her own little brother. Now he's gone...

Twilight lays in bed silently crying, tears roll down her face as she thinks about Spike. All of a sudden she feels a pain in her stomach. It's unbearable she shifts to make the pain ease but it gets worse. She feels herself spit up, she looks and freezes. It isn't vomit, its a weird moving and bubbling black goo. She doesn't remember eating such a thing. She is very uncomfortable. 

The next day she doesn't let what happened last night get to her, she gets ready to go out with her friends. They were going to a large party the town was holding, there was gonna be a voting contest for Mrs or Mr Equastria. Twilight went to her closet for her speci dress. It was a dark purple sparkling dress. The headpiece was a star themed accessory. She smiled at her outfit.

Rarity helped her make it. As she looked at herself in the mirror she was blushing profusely. She never knew she could look so beautiful. She looks over at spikes little suit that he was supposed to wear. She holds in tears to avoid ruining her make up. Besides, Spike wouldn't want her to be upset. She decides to have fun for Spike instead of herself.

She makes her way to her friends. The girls were already together. Dressed in their best attire. The spot Twilight and immediately start cheering happily. Rarity comes up to Twilight and places a kiss on her cheek.

"You look absolutely wonderful darling" Rarity beams

Twilight blushes

"Thank you Rarity"

They make their way to the party. It was decorated with flowers and banners. Ponies walked inside while others were flying up above. Some doing tricks in the air before the party really started. Ponies on the ground cheering for them. When they went outside Pinkie Pie rushed to the cupcakes. Twilight laughed, classic Pinkie Pie. I decide to dance with Apple Jack and Rainbow Dash.

Eventually Princes Celestia gets on stage.

"Ahem, we are proud to announce this year's Mrs Equastria is..." she pauses "Twilight Sparkle!"

There's a loud burst of cheers. Twilight is stunned.

"Twilight you have been an inspiration for all of us."

Twilight was too scared to move.

"Well don't keep her waiting" Rainbow Dash says as her and Fluttershy push her towards the stage.

Twilight remembers how to use her legs again and gets on stage. A sparkling crown is placed on her head by two flying ponies. She watches as everyone in the crowd congratulates her.

"Shoulda been Rarity" A pony in thr crowd mutters "Not some pony who's not even from here"

Twilight couldn't stop smiling. Suddenly her vision blurs. She feels nothing but the faces of the crowd soon turn horrified. She looks down at her hooves to see a black liquid dripping down on them. She covers her  mouth while she coughs, and her hand is dripping with more of the thick goo. She looks up to see a wasteland of Equastria. She walks around aimless.

"Hello?" She calls out

No answer.

Suddenly she hears footsteps behind her, picking up the pace. She can't see what it is so she just runs, she trips over her now damaged dress. Her dress was decorated in holes and dirt. She saw a pony. She didn't look anything like a regular pony though. Her eyes were black holes. Pitch black. Her mouth agape and she let out a dry groan.

Her mouth slowly dripping black goo. She growls and bites Twilights calf. She cries out in pain and kicks her off. Twilight leaps onto her and uses her magic to bash her skull with a rock. She cried as she kept smashing. She threw down the rock and sobbed. Soon more demonic ponies emerged.

"Come on!" Twilight yelled "Bring it on!"

She yells as she fights the ponies. She was getting bitten, scratched and bruised but she did not care. When she finished she saw all the dead monster ponies. Her vision glitches from the wasteland to the party. Soon she saw the party again. Everyone dead on the floor. She froze. She saw the decorations torn. Instead of festive flowers, there was blood everywhere.

She sees the corpses of ponies everywhere. Mangled. She looks down at her now bloody hooves. She realizes she did this. She was the hideous monster pony. She was the one attacking. She looks in horror at Fluttershy, her wings were ripped from her back and stuffed inside her mouth. Blood pouring out. Her eyes to the back of her head.

Applejack had all four legs tied behind her back all together with an apple in her mouth. Her bones broke through her skin, because of course noones body was meant for that. Her legs didn't even look like legs anymore. Her eyes were red, Twilight could tell she had been crying in pain. She looked over to see Rainbow Dash hanging from the ceiling by her intestines.

They wre wrapped around her to make it look like she was in a flying position. Her wings forced up too to look like they were flapping. She looked over at PinkiePie, she was on the table. Her mouth stuffed with cupcakes to the point where her jaw broke. A few teeth were on the floor. Her stomach bulging and slightly split open.

She looked over at Rarity, her face was purple. She had been choked with some of PinkiePies ripped off hair. Her legs broken so she couldn't run. Twilights eyes filled with tears. She couldn't believe she could do something like this. She turns and her jaw drops in horror. Princess Celestia was crucified against the wall by her hooves.

Nailed to the wall of the stage with unicorn horns. Her own horns ripped off and stabbed into her heart. Her head hung low. Her face stuck in a opened mouth surprise expression. Twilight shed tears as she looked at her dead friends. Then. She smiled.
