I'm a half vampire. My mom was a human and died after giving birth to me while my so called asshole of a vampire father didn't even look at me twice, my whole brethren casted me away because I'm a half and a disgrace to full blood vampires… yeah, I know ; the cliché tragic background.I don't remember much about my childhood but right now here I am near this dark shady warehouse for "work" at this time of night

" Ah fuck Dylan! I'm at work right now can you stop calling me!!?" Dante yelled picking up his phone that kept ringing non stop.

"Sheesh man you're so cold, I'll be at your apartment let's go out for drinks after you're done with your…spying work.., whatever it is hahaha ! Bye!!! Muah!!!!"

Beep.Beep.Beep. Dylan ended the call abruptly.

"Ugh…" Dante stood there looking at the call that just ended.

Upon hearing some distant mumbling , Dante suddenly gets into a full focus mood and carefully starts observing men in suits getting out of several black cars.

Due my half vampire abilities I am able to see in dark and hear conversations from afar and possess far greater strength than humans

Dante observes the men as if searching for a specific person.

A man who looked like he was in his thirties, his hair slicked back and deep dark eyes, even though he was in a suit you could tell that he has a nice physique and as he stepped forward among the men there was no doubt that this handsome daddy was the boss !

"Okay never thought finding him would be this easy if he stands out this much" Dante thought to himself looking at the man while hidden in the shadows at a certain distance, holding the picture of that man which he got out from his pocket

"Boss we got the goods" said one of the men as he checked out the cargo van outside the warehouse.

"Hmm..tell Cain his cash will be delivered" said the boss" And prepare to leave"

"Yes boss!!"

"So this is the boss I gotta keep an eye on huh..." Dante thought to himself looking at the boss.

Just as the boss is about to sit in his car, he looks up, his eyes in the direction where Dante stood in the shadows.

"Oh shit! Why is he looking this way!?? "Dante was petrified and just stood there

The boss looked for a moment .. "Umm...boss is something wrong?" said the man holding the car door . "Not really" said the boss shifting his gaze away and sat in the car

Vroom, vroom~ soon all the cars disappeared from the sight

"Wahhhh.!!!! I thought he could see me for sure! I was about to shit my pants " Dante said in relief "But I guess I'll be seeing him a lot now ".

"Dylan!? Again??" Said Dante picking up the call. "Fine I'm coming over but I'm not paying you hear that?"

"I heard you babe just get over here already! " Dylan exclaimed on the call

"Stop calling me babe..." Dante sighs

"Haha I don't wanna"

I went for drinks after not knowing what was coming for me.

"DANTE!!!" Dylan exclaimed with joy hugging Dante who just arrived at his apartment.

"Dude you're suffocating me..." Dante said trying to push away his best friend's face mere inches away

Soon after Dante and Dylan arrive at a fancy looking bar about 15 minutes drive away from Dante's apartment

"This new place opened up last week , I've heard the drinks here are really good! " Dylan explains to Dante while still in car

"Sure looks like a fancy place " Dante says looking at the bar through the window

Both of them enter the bar and take a seat on the bar counter. The bar has a quiet and elegant atmosphere and people are enjoying their drinks.

"Give us your best drink!"Dylan flashes a smile to the bartender. "Surely sir." bartender responds

"You sure are taking full advantage of your Dad's money Dylan" Dante says to Dylan

"Hahahaha I'm gonna take over the company anyway ,might as well enjoy before as much as I can!!" Dylan exclaimed with a smile" Besides I wanted to bring you here".

"..." Dante remains silent looking at his friend who starts going through the drink menu

"Your drinks sir" Says the bartender placing a beautiful drink for both of them shortly after

Dylan and Dante enjoy having a good time trying out all kinds of drinks but soon.

"Ughhh ...I don't feel so good....uhh... bathroom." Dante could barely make out the words as he stood up wobbling.

"Wahh Don't puke here !!! You're wasted already!!" Dylan held Dante's arm giving him support leading him to the restroom

....... (After 5 minutes of puking up all the delicious drinks).....

"Phew I feel much better now…" Dante said to himself as he got out of the restroom washing his hands and face

As Dante was done splashing water on his face , he couldn't help but notice a familiar figure, The boss whom he was looking for not too long ago was standing right beside him who knows for how long staring at him

"AHHHHH" Dante screamed internally and pretended they just actually didn't make eye contact

"...hey you don't have to act like I'm invisible" the man said in a soft deep voice

"Uhh...." Dante just stood there unable to speak in front of the gorgeous man while Dante's inner voice was screaming ("Why is he talking to me!!??")

"You-..." the boss man's voice was suddenly cut off by the door banging open

"Edric!" a beautiful young man enters and jumps right at the boss man" I had been waiting for you" he says intertwining his fingers with Edric

Edric was unfazed , shifting his gaze towards Dante

But Dante sees his chance and escapes out making his way to Dylan who was standing not too far away.

"Oh you're back !" Dylan looked excited as ever

"Yea now let's get outta here" Dante grabbed Dylan's hand making his way out hurriedly

"Hey woah what's the rush!?" Dylan asked keeping his pace and

*SMACK* Dante bumped into a stranger making the drink spill all over the man

"Who the fuck are you!? Can't you watch where you're going!!??" the man yelled grabbing Dante's collar ,attracting attention from all the people around" You ruined my expensive suit!"

"Should have spent that money on a plastic surgery instead" Dante said unfazed

"Huh!!? You little****" the man yelled as he was about to throw a punch at Dante

Dylan stepped forward to stop him, but before he could, Edric was there holding the man's wrist mere inches away from Dante's face.

" O-Oh Mr.Edric Alexander…" the man acted as if he was caught doing something bad (of course he was!)

"Mr. Smith ... I suggest you don't cause a scene in my place, after all you wouldn't want a bad reputation in front of all these people, would you? " Edric gave Mr. Smith a cold stare

Smith already knew that Edric was bad news

"I-I apologize !" Mr. Smith quickly backed off and left the bar

Dante's eyes met Edric's for a mere second before he continued to make his way out of the bar, dragging Dylan with him. While Edric's gaze never left him until he was out of sight.

.... At Dante's apartment

"Dude what was all that about!?" Dylan asked Dante

"Uh... I guess I can't hide it any more " Dante proceeds to explain everything to Dylan

" WHAT! You're supposed to keep an eye on Edric Alexander!? That dangerous mafia boss !?" Dylan was surprised

"It will only be for some time plus I get good payment just gotta keep informing my employer if he's up to something" Dante explained as if it was easy-peasy

The next day, at XX pharmacy

It was a bright and beautiful day, with slight breeze and warm sunshine, among the hustle bustle of the city, Dante stepped out of the pharmacy

Ring~Ring~Ring

"Yes" Dante answered the call, walking on the footpath

"Good work reporting his yesterday's dealing, keep doing it this way, and I'll double your pay" the man on the phone call spoke

"Of course who do you think you hired for this kinda work, I'm a pro at this" Dante bragged and ended the call shortly after discussing some details

Soon Dante reached a residence area, it was quite as if nobody lived there, There was a small isolated house at the end of the street

Dante pulled out a key from his pocket, he opened the door and went inside making sure he properly closed the door after getting in

"Loyd...? " Dante spoke calmly, making his way straight to the bedroom, Dante was indeed already familiar with the house

" Oh Dante it's you" a man who looked like he was in his 50s but well maintained, was laying on a bed, he looked up towards Dante, closing the book he was reading.

"I bought your meds, how are you feeling today?? Did you eat the porridge??" There was genuine concern and kindness in Dante's voice.

"Haha yes I did, it was delicious" He placed his hand on Dante's head as Dante sat on a chair Besides the bed

"Loyd, I'll finally be able to admit you at the hospital, I've been working under some people, and they're willing to pay me double if I keep doing good work, You will be able to walk again! " Dante had a hopeful expression

"Wait Dante … You're not doing anything dangerous, are you? " Loyd had a worried expression on his face

" Of course not, besides you've taught me well about everything when I was working under you right! Red dragon !" Dante grinned
