Legend Of Poodong

pppddddffffff

One summer night, a man stood on a low hill overlooking a wide expanse of field and forest. By the orange crescent moon hanging low in the west, he knew it was near the hour of dawn. A light mist lay along the earth, but above it, tall trees showed against a clear sky, and far off, the small dark rectangle of a farmhouse lay visible through the haze. She’ll be asleep in her bed, he thought, feeling his body stir at the thought of ***** flesh enmeshed in an eiderdown and the smell of a sleeping woman. He turned the freshly sharpened axe to a more comfortable position on his shoulder and began to walk the path down the hill, the path to the farmhouse, nestling there in the grey distance, perhaps half a mile away. As he trod the track in the silent early morning, the first birds began to stir. Soon, the deafening dawn chorus would be ringing out over the countryside. But before then, it would all be over.

I remember it was a Tuesday when I awoke to feel that something had changed. Something I couldn’t quite put my finger on. But I felt different, I didn’t know how. I looked in the mirror, then looked again in disbelief. My face wasn’t looking back at me! No beard and moustache, no kindly blue eyes (or so I thought), no curly blond hair. Instead, I could see the reflection of the wall behind me. What was going on? Was this some kind of practical joke? On impulse, I picked up my alarm clock and held it up in front of the mirror. There it was, ticking away, suspended in mid-air!

Quite suddenly there was no more road. It ran down the valley like any other road and then past a broad field of wheat, standing alone. It came up beside the small white house that belonged to the wheat field and then just faded out, as though there was no more use for it. Jesse Harding pulled the old car up. “Sorry, kids, I must’ve taken a wrong turn.” Simon turned his freckled face up to the sun. His pale blue eyes were almost translucent and the pupils like pinpricks of black ink. “I’m tired, dad. Is it much further?” Jesse looked down at his young son, then at Lucy, his daughter, a couple of years older, fourteen, going on twenty-four. “Not much further, son, we’ll be at the hostel before it goes dark.” “Hostel!” exclaimed Lucy, “Why can’t we stay at a proper hotel? Somewhere with clean sheets and … and room service!” “Now, you know why,” said Dolores, Jesse’s wife, “times is hard right now, but your dad’s got a new job starting soon.” She crossed her fingers underneath her pale green dress. It was hard to tell if that was its actual colour or faded through the endless passing of time. Jesse looked at the white house. All the windows were covered with blinds. Opposite the house was a freshly sown field of green shoots. But there was nowhere else to turn the car. With a slight feeling of trepidation, he backed the car onto the edge of the field, feeling the slight give of the earth before he straightened back up onto the road. Just then, a woman emerged from around the house. Jesse felt he wanted to stamp on the accelerator and get the hell out of there, but out of politeness, he pressed a button to wind the window down. “I’m sorry, Ma’am, I had to turn the car around somehow. We’re heading for Castle Tor; we’re staying the night.” He felt embarrassed.

train

First:::::----

It was night time, they were carrying whiskey (alcohol) with them and wanted to consume it. They called the train attendant(a young age guy), bribed him and ask him to arrange some ice for them.

The train had no pantry car, so the ice was not so easily available. The guy initially hesitate but seeing couple of hundreds bucks in his pocket and an offer to have some whiskey with them made him somehow arrange the ice for them.

They all enjoy their drinks and wanted more. Moving ahead for next round of whiskey, they wanted more ice. The attendant guy denied them saying he won't be able to get more. But these guys were reluctant and bribed him more. The guy again somehow manages ice for them.

This continued for 4-5 rounds. Each time the attendant used to refuse firmly but these guys bribed him more & more.

Finally when asked to manage ice one more time, the attendant guy said its impossible for him to get ice anymore now.

They ask the reason for it?

The guy replied: "Sir from where will I get more ice...the dead body already got delivered at last stop"

Second::::-----

She woke up to her daughter screaming out loud, "Mummmmmmmy!"

Quickly, she sprinted towards her daughter's room. The little girl was lying at the corner of the room, panting, and holding her hands over her head, covering the face, as if she was trying to hide from somebody.

She hugged her and yelled, "Sweety! Sweety! It's me! Mom has come! Don't worry! Calm down! Calm down! Relax! What happened?"

The little girl cried out loud, "Mummy! Mummy! There's someone roaming around in our house!"

Placing her over the chest and brushing her hands into the little girl's hair, she replied, "No Sweety, there is no one! You just had a bad dream! Calm down! Stop crying! I'm there!"

Pointing towards the door, the little girl screamed, "Mom! There it is! See! Mummmmmmmy! There!"

She turned back to see a silhouette, holding a knife in hand. Her eyes went wide. She hugged her daughter all over and tried to scream out for help, but no words came out of her mouth.

It moved close to them, and looking into her eyes, it said, "Sometimes, you have to listen to little kids! They speak truth!" And, stabbed her right into her heart with the knife.

She squealed, "Aaaaaaaahhhh!"

Her husband woke up and shouted, "Hey! Hey! Relax! Calm down! May be you had a bad dream! Relax! Relax! Cool!"

She looked around, up and down, hugged her husband, and mumbled, "Oh! That's a very bad dream!"

She got down the bed and moved towards her daughter's room. The little girl was still sleeping. She smiled, kissed her daughter on the forehead and returned to her bed.

Her husband asked, "Where did you go?"

She smilingly replied, "I just went to have a glance of our daughter, Sweety!"

He whispered, "Are you mad? We don't have a daughter!"
