‘I’m sorry Eiji.... please forgive me this one last time for being selfish’

He felt his heartbeat getting smaller, every second it became slower but the smile on his face still lingered even when his body became colder.

‘I’m dying but my soul will still be with you’

Ash closed his eyes, he could feel his soul leaving his body and his vision turned black only to return to normal the next second.

‘What’s going on? Shouldn’t I be dead already... how can I still have a clear conscience??’

He looked at his transparent body and then to the ground. His body was hovering and went through the things like a ghost but the people didn’t noticed him at all.

‘Can’t they see me?’

He waved at them and made funny faces but they just walked by.

‘What’s going on.....’

It became dark and the library was closing.

The girl working in the library saw that Ash was still here and sleeping, so she went out and called for him. To her surprise his breathing was almost nonexistent, she quickly called the ambulance.

‘That’s my body.... I’m still alive’

He followed the car that took his body but in that time he still couldn’t believe what happened. He looked at his deadly pale hands that had no pulse.

‘....’

“I want to see Ash Lynx!”

Max shouted outside the operation room.

‘Old man...’

“Let me see him!”

He shouted in desperation.

“He can’t be dying.... how can I explain that to Eiji?”

The workers looked helplessly at him but still refused to let him through.

“Ash! Please don’t die!”

He was dragged out of the hospital.

‘Was I selfish?’

He looked at his almost lifeless body in the room.

‘I thought that fate wants me dead but I still seem to be somehow alive.’

He went away from his body but realized that some force didn’t let him leave.

He tested something before coming to the conclusion that he can’t leave within the radius of 10 meter from his body.

‘Seems like I’m stuck with watching my body...’

Yes you would feel empty because Banana Fish made me empty 😭😭😭

I don’t regret watching it but the pain at the end just hit me so hard that I didn’t wanted to live.... so I decided to write a After Story to what would happen when Ash watched over them as a ghost...

At first I wanted to write something about his life as a ghost while the people around him were grieving about his dead but luckily I thought it through before my brain could bring it to paper...... I tend to listen to my brain (which is filled with crap) that is not always a good thing, so now he is close to dead and not dead.
