As soon as the alarm went off, I sighed, closed it slowly, and went to sleep. I woke up when it rang again. 20 minutes later, after glaring at it for a while, I yawned and rolled around on the bed because I didn't want to get up, but eventually I rose up and entered the restroom, hurriedly showering after changing up. I went straight to the cafe where I work. As I opened the door, I was met with a sweet, delicate smell of flowers that I had bought to make the cafe more attractive.

After entering the cafe i smiled widely as I saw my dearest friend.

Lily: Hi Deo.

Deo: Hi, I miss you.

He comes and hugs me.

Lily: We just met yesterday.

Deo: But still, I miss you.

I chuckled again and released the hug. As we went to work, I heard the bell ringing, so I looked at the door to see him. He sat in his usual place, which was near the flowers. I smiled as my heart fluttered. I shook my head, letting those feelings aside as I walked to him.

Lily: Welcome to the cafe. What would you like to order, sir? I took a pen and a notepad to the back of my jeans.

Lee: Chocolate cake with black coffee please.

Lily: Yes, sir. Anything else?

Lee: That's enough thank you.

I walked back to the counter to do his order and while making lee order i saw a smirking deo coming in my direction.

Deo: OMG!!! Your prince charming has come, huh?

Lily: Oh, shut up. how about you Make these for him.

Deo: Okay only because I'm rooting for you guys and since you ask so nicely to me.

After 10 minutes of me and deo preparing lee order. I carefully walked to him, scared to spill the food, I placed his order on the table.

Lee: Thank you, Lily.

My eyes widen.

Lily: What! How do you know my name sir?

Lee:Of course I know your name. Look there's a tag in your uniform silly.

Even though i was embarrassed because of the silly question i asked it still made me happy and

i blushed and secretly pinched my arms. Okay, I am not dreaming that my crush knows my name now that's one step closer to get close to lee.

Lily: I see I didn't know. Now i'm quite embarrassed because of my question.

Lee: Chuckle, No worries how about we do a formal introduction to each other. my name is Lee.

Lily: Nice to meet you too, Lee.

Deo: Hi lee can I introduce myself as well I felt left out since we're the only two employees here so as a regular customer you need to know my name too so i'm deo.

Lee: Oh nice to meet you deo I'm lee.

Deo: Yay bye gotta go back to work.

Lily: I better go back to work as well nice to meet you again lee.

We shook our hands, and I don't know why, but I felt like we would be more than just friends.

We were just sitting and talking, and actually, he is a very fun person, even though he is blind.I felt happy being around him, then suddenly someone grabbed my arm and made me stand up. I turned around to see my brother, Izeke.

Izeke:Why are you hanging out with a guy?

Lily: So is it your problem?

Izeke: DON'T TALK BACK TO ME LIKE THAT!

Lily: Do you even care about me?

Izeke: yes.

Lily: Well, I know you don't, so stop pretending and causing a drama here, and please kindly get out. *smiles annoyingly*

He glanced at Lee and glared at him.

Lily: It's not his fault, so go home.

He nodded, kissed my forehead, and went out. I signed and helped Lee get up.

Lily: I'm sorry on behalf of my brother.

Lee: It's ok, Lily, no need to apologize.

I saw how his face was worried about

Lily: Yeah, my brother might be kind of overprotective, but no matter what else comes along or goes away, My brother, Izeke, is always there for me when I need someone to lean on.

Lee: I see you have an amazing brother.

Lily: Yes, he's an amazing brother, even if his personality is like that, so go home safely, ok?

He nodded and smiled at me.He walked out of the café.

*Later at night*

Lily: The best part of the day. Eating spicy pancit canton and coke while watching some anime.

It was good, and I was having a good time when my phone ruined it.

I annoyingly answered the call.

Deo: Have you finished watering the flowers?

Lily: OH! I'm going now. Thanks for reminding!

Deo: This girl. *sigh* I always have to remind her.

I quickly ate my dinner and ran to the rooftop. After what seemed like a year, I finally got to the top.

Y/n: Here *inhale* I am *inhale*

I got the water bottle and gave them water. I finished and was about to go back when I heard a sob.

Lily: Who would come at this hour? Oh god, it has to be a murderer. Well, guess what! I am not afraid of you.

I looked around and found a bat. I took it and followed the voice. I was about to shout, but I saw Lee crying.

Lily: Lee?

He quickly wiped his tears and carefully stood up because he had forgotten his walking stick. I helped him, and he asked.

Lee: Oh, Lily! How are you?

Luly: I should be asking you that. How are you?

He went quiet.

Lily: It's okay if you don't want to tell. Do you live here?

Lee: No, I just came here because I like flowers and I can smell them.

Lily: Oh! Those are mine; I planted them.

Lee: Really? It smells really sweet, like you.

I suddenly*blushed*

He chuckled.This is the best day of my life.

Lee: Hey Lily, do you have a boyfriend?

Lily: No, how about you? Do you have a girlfriend?

Lee: Nope, but there's a saying: Love is a blooming garden, where their affection is the sunlight and their connection is the blossoming of a thousand vibrant flowers."

Hearing all Lee's words, I couldn't help but blush, and my heart was beating so fast.

Lily: I see you as a man with words.

Lee: Hahaha, I'm just saying your garden is really beautiful, and it just came to mind.

Lily: I see. Let me help you find your walking stick.

After looking around for a bit, we finally found Lee's walking stick.

Lee: Thank you, Lily, for giving me your time and helping me.

Lily: No worries, I need to go back to my room now since we still have work together. Good night, Lee.

Lee: Yeah, good night.

As I closed the door, I felt that our bond had become stronger.

Next Day

After arriving at the cafe, he was already sitting at his favorite spot, and as always, my heart couldn't stop beating every time I saw him.

Lily: Hi Lee, do you want your usual?

Lee: Yes.

The cafe is filled with the fragrant aroma of freshly brewed coffee. After doing Lee's usual order, I sat down and shared a table with Lee. Suddenly, I saw my brother appear, with frustration in his face.

Izeke: Why are you with him again lily?

Lily: I appreciate your concern, but I'm capable of making my own decisions brother.

Lee: Why are you being so overprotective of her?

Izeke: "I just want what's best for my sister. I've seen her hurt before, and I don't want her to get hurt again.

"Lily: Thank you, brother, for always worrying about me. I'm not naive like I was in the past.

Lee: I don't know what happened to Lily in the past, but I can promise that I will treat her as best as I can because I'm her friend.

Izeke: Izeke: Friend? I see. "I guess I have to trust you both. Even if you guys are friends, you better not hurt my sister. You understand, and Lily, just promise me you'll be careful.

Lily: Thank you, brother.

Lily: I know after my brother left, Lee suddenly asked.

Lee: My name is Lee, Mr. Izeke.

Izeke: Okay, Lee, you better not do stupid things to my sister.

After Izeke left, Lee smiled at me and asked a question.

Lee: So what happened in the past that got your brother so overprotective?

I talked to Lee about what happened to me in the past. I was very naive, so I was easily pushed over by people, and I was abused by my ex-boyfriend, and my brother was there to always help me out.

Lee: I see; that's why your brother is always worried. I'm sorry to hear that. I promise I can treat you, but I will treat you better.

My face has turned red, and my heart is beating.Fast again.

Lily: Thank you.

Lee. Enough about my last. How about yours? What happened to you? How did you become blind?

Lee: Well lily It's a very long story.

Lee also started sharing his past, including how he turned blind and why he is not with his parents anymore. We talked for hours and hours as my friend Deo covered for my shift.
