Our vacations were soon coming to an end. frankly

speaking it wasn’t a very thrilling, adventurous or a at least different from

the past years the same old story. When our vacations started all of us I mean

our parents , we four cousins and our grandfather went on a tour to a few

different places but couldn’t enjoy the things we actually went there for

.After that me, my mom and my brother went near our brother to banjo my mom and

my brother left soon but I happened to stay there for a few days , I never got

to know how that few days stretched to an whole month .And when I returned I

was left with just ten days .TEN DAYS . What possible adventure could I have in

ten days is what I thought but little did I know I was completely wrong. Okay

that’s a lot for an introduction let me introduce myself now I am aura a

fourteen year old who wants a bit of adventure in her life ,well not a bit but

a lot .”aura are you done talking to yourself? if yes, then would you mind

coming down to have your breakfast “ said mom. “Yes mom, and by the way I was

not talking to myself” well I have habit of recording things so when they don’t

actually see me recording they think I’m talking to myself .well things aside ,the

first day of that adventure started in this very house with a similar

conversation.

“so where do you think that place is which dad

mentioned earlier some relatives house I’m done with going to these kind of

boring places I don’t want to spent the last ten days of my vacations there “ I

said felling a bit angry “just shut up , its not like your going to spend it

any better” said Andy, he was my elder brother one annoying body in our house.

“I knew it , it was of no use telling you” I said “Andy ,aura come and have

your breakfast” mom called us from the kitchen “COMING”. We went in the kitchen

to have breakfast and there we saw our aunt well she does normally come talk to

my mom and they spend time together but this time it was something about going

somewhere “I say we can go to sisal city and then go to heses “said my aunt,

turning towards me she continued “well now the children are here why don’t you

ask them ,after all four of them are better off with each other”, “what do you

mean four of them” I asked quite astonished ,“well we are going with you to

banjo , and anyways sisal city falls on its way ,we wanted to give it a visit

from a long time so we thought why not , and I know just the two of you will

get bored so neon and Kirsch are also coming “said aunt  “ well then that’s great ,at least we don’t

have to be the only one getting bored in that place “ I said happily, “I bet

you wont get bored “ said aunt ,and her name is Regina so aunt Regina . “I have

got to say you have a lot of confidence on that place ,the last time you

visited was ten years ago and you don’t know its condition now “said mom

looking a little worried. By the time they turned back I was half way up

running to Kirsch to tell him this . “kirsch do you know we are going to boring

place with some addition but thank god we are all together and as usual we four

cousins are going with uncle vat ,  and don’t

forget to wear sports shoes though we are not going for hiking I guess it will

come use in the farm and also—“ , kirsch interrupted  me half way “okay first I knew that we were going there , second not

sure if we are actually going it was just a plan and its not confirmed “, “but

kirsch-“ “no wait I’m not done yet thirdly we don’t need sports shoes in the

field “ kirsch stopped and took a deep breath , before he started again I said

“now wait till I finish and don’t interrupt , there is a very high possibility

that we are going ,secondly we can convince them to go together thirdly the

sports shoes are not just because we are going in the field ,you never know

which adventure awaits you so always be prepared “I was about to continue when

he said “what if there is no adventure what adventure will you possibly have in

one and a half day” I was shocked and devastated “one and a half day , what do

you mean that’s not possible an adventure in so less….. time I guess I was a

fool hoping for one “ ,”wait we might have a small adventure but what type of

adventure were you looking forward to?” asked kirsch still trying to console

me, “well I don’t want a small adventure I wanted something fictional something

the outside world wont believe and those kind of adventures do not happen in a

day “ I though all of this would never be possible but little did I know that this

one and a half day was going to be the most adventures one .

After listening to what kirsch had said I was not in a

very good mood, I didn’t have the same enthusiasm while climbing down the

stairs I met my aunt half way ,she saw me and said

“what’s with the face , why so dull ?”, “aunt is it

true that we were just planning to go and even if we did it would be for a day

and a half “ I said hoping for a better answer , she looked at me and said

“well it true but that’s because our limit is just one and a half day and that

too on a weekend , if not we cant as neon and Andy will have their collage and

the cannot miss it “, “well that does make sense “ I said though it was

reasonable I wasn’t convinced and in fact I don’t think it was possible for

anybody to convince me at that time.

I was laying down in my room my dad came in he sat

beside me and asked “what is it, why are you sad “ “dad you are asking me why I

am sad to begin with you should never have told me about going to that place

till it was confirmed , because you told me about it I got curious especially

when you described the house and the fields . why did you tell us if it was not

confirmed , now maybe its not possible for aunt Regina and her family to come

as well , I was hoping for an adventure  not sitting in the house doing nothing during the last ten days of my

vacation” I was so angry that I told dad things I didn’t mean I was basically

venting out my anger at him , but he was calm yet I could feel that I hurt him

he said “ we will try our best and if not possible you still have so many

holidays we can all during that time . you should learn to control your anger

and try to think through it. Now get, wash your face and do some work or paint

something don’t think too much about that we will handle it .” I got up and

said “I guess I will leave it up to you and I’m sorry for earlier.

 After this I

went ahead to paint something and I exactly knew what I wanted to paint a world

I imagined for my adventure. Three days later all of us had breakfast together

our parents started discussing about the visit. after about an hour they

finally called us and told that we will be going to both the places but it will

be for a day and a half we would leave early on Saturday morning go to sisal

city, and then to the relative in heses, stay there overnight and leave by

Sunday evening. the plan seemed perfect. I wasn’t disappointed I was still

hoping for something and didn’t let my hopes down.

As soon as it was confirmed I was pretty exited. Three

days went by it was Friday and we would leave tomorrow . I was packing a few

clothes I heard someone come in ,it was kirsch , he sat down and as soon as he

did I started telling him about what to do” listen first sports shoes don’t

forget” “ya ya I got it “ he said “ come on be a little excited ,finally we are

going and maybe we can really have a good experience” I said and got up to get

my cloths “ hey but don’t to think you are getting too hyped up , what if its

just a normal visit or why don’t you enjoy it like a normal visit “ said kirsch

looking a bit worried , by the time I could tell him something his mom called ,

“ I guess I have to go bye “ and kirsch went away. But I continued thinking

about the adventure .

It was about five in the morning when my mom woke me

up , I was too sleepy but I had to get up after all it was the day I was

waiting for. I got and for the first time I was ready before everyone else.

“what a surprise , I though you said the place might be boring “ said Andy

trying to ruin my mood early in the morning “ well why don’t you focus on getting

ready before trying to mock me because you should know that we are leaving in

ten minutes “. I left the room and came out I had a pretty good feeling about

this . We all got into the car first as usual we would go to the near by food

stall to have breakfast then we would officially leave for the place without

any stops . Were about to reach that place I had to agree it was beautiful ,

finally we reached the house the moment I got down from the house I was

dumbstruck it was the most amazing place I have ever been to it was at the

bottom of a hill but it was calm , cool and peaceful . It was surrounded by a

forest , across the road right in front of the house was their field its was

with beetle nut trees and coconut trees this made that place very shady . “hey

don’t you think this place is beautiful” said uncle vat we all agreed to it ,”

hey take my photos at this place , I swear they will come out so good” said

neon taking out her camera “ who should” all three of us asked at once “Andy

you take my photos , the pictures clicked for me last time came out so good”

said neon “ Ya I guess that’s why we came here clicking pictures” I and kirsch

said feeling left out but soon we saw a few puppies and soon were distracted.

Our parents soon went to meet our relatives . She  were our grandfathers sister so she would be

our parents aunt , and for us she was grandmother .I was busy thinking about

that when I saw the fields . As soon as saw that I ran to our grandmother and

asked her if we could go there “ why don’t you have your lunch first and then

your uncle will accompany you and show you the fields” she said that and then

was about to go in kitchen when I asked her “ why should uncle bother coming we

will go by ourself” “ well there are a few parts you cant go , you don’t know

which part that’s why he is coming , and don’t try going there” she said “parts

we should not go , why , where is it “ I said quite exited “ no nothing special

we sowed seeds there we don’t want you to stamp on those” she said feeling

uneasy , the expression clearly showed that she was lying. But I didn’t want to

force her into telling the reason but instead I would find that out myself. You

know that when someone is asked not to do something it makes them want to do

that more well I’m that someone here. I said ok and went out Andy was still

clicking neon’s pictures and kirsch was standing beside him this was the

perfect time to tell everyone. “Andy, neon, kirsch listen I went in and asked

about the field everything seemed normal until she said there was a part where

we were not supposed to go because they have sown seeds there I did not ask her

anything else but that is more that enough to prove the point that there is

something else there I could see she was lying that face people make when they

are lying she was making that face “ I stopped “ hey slow down what is all of

this about “ said neon “ well by all of this I mean we could go and explore the

restricted part” I said looking at neon “are you crazy when they say its

restricted there must be some reason , I’m the eldest I have to take care of

all of you I don’t want to get into trouble” said neon looking tensed “ well

how dangerous could it be ?” said Andy slowly joining the conversation “ but-“

neon was about to say no when kirsch also joined and said “ yes Andy is right

how dangerous could it be “ I was happy that they were taking my side , I said

“ ok then why don’t we go there around 6pm , we are going there after the lunch

with uncle so we definitely cant go at that time “ “what else can we do we will

go but we will inform them “ said neon tired of convincing us “what a joke ,

tell them ? they are not allowing us to go there with our uncle you think they

will allow us to go alone” said kirsch “do you were it is “ asked Andy I said “

I don’t know” “ then how do you think we will go there” asked Andy annoyed “

well when they take us for a tour around the field any place that looks

suspicious we will act like we are going there if they stop us we will ask why

and then we will get to know “ I said confidently ,” I say that you sure have a

brain of the size of a walnut you think they are that stupid we have to think

of another way” said kirsch “ then why don’t you tell a way” I said irritated ,

“ well guys I think I have a plan” said neon we were surprised neon rarely gave

away ideas and when she did they always worked out , we all eagerly asked what

it is, she said “ leave that to me all you have to do is to go out with our

parents when I start talking to uncle , and also once we go in that place if I

feel something is not right we have to get out that instant” said neon.
