Love you all!!!💓💓💓

The sound of my breathing was the only thing I heard as I slowly walked back to the ruined temple. It was strange how I was able to escape the auction house. I didn't remember how I escaped nor how I knew the way back.

I slowly sauntered to the entrance of the of the temple. The place was silent and eerie. It was almost dark. I should've hear voices what's there was none. something was amiss. As I got inside, I almost choked with what I saw.

Bodies... bodies of the people I knew. Bodies of everyone I ever loved... the stench of blood was pungent and nauseating. My heart bled as I saw their dismembered bodies.

I badly wanted to cry but not a single tear fell from my eyes. as I wallowed in sorrow, a voice came from behind me.

"Eloise... Save me."

What was that?

I slowly turned round but there was no one else, only piles of morbid dead bodies. The voice wasn't unfamiliar but it was soft and almost cautious, like a child's.

I tried to talk but the words were stuck to me. I couldn't speak again. It was then realization dawned on me.

That was my voice...

"Eloise... Help!"

I let my senses lead me. The voice was getting farther and farther away from me, my uneasy steps Brooke into a run. I ran faster as my legs could take me, but the voice was getting father and farther.

"Eloise..."

It was gone, I tried to talk, but my voice was stolen. My knees dropped to the earthy forest floor. I had lost everything. My family, my clan... And now my voice.

"AAAAAHHH!!!!!!!"

Prologue

In 1325,

   250years ago, disaster struck...

The people whom we thought were our fellow humans began to show face. It was then we realized we were not the only ones on earth.

I could remember the days when we the escapees were huddled together in an old mildew infested temple deep in the forests, hiding and away from those horrible monsters.

My father and the elders in our bands of refugees and escapees would tell us stories of what happened, the gore, the bloodshed, the danger, the blood war.

They would show us how it began, we the young ones who hadn't an encounter with any of these things would listen with dread in our hearts and quivers in our spines.

      But now, they were gone...

   "Eloisa!"...

I was transfixed to my spot. Everything seemed blurred as I stared at the clobbered body of my father.

He, along with with everyone else, was killed and martyred by the savage blood suckers before my eyes. My body had fallen in to toxic shock that I froze in trauma.

For a little child of seven to watch such carnage was frightening.

I could not blink, I couldn't cover my eyes for the impact had already done worse to my brain. I was the only one left, unnoticed in my little place within the ruined walls, knees clamped tightly to my chest and In a state of stupefaction.

"It seems our work here is done sire, no more putrid foul smelling rogues. "

A fat large figure in heavy boots and dark clothing walked around the ruined temple, inspecting their work. His eyes glowed in the dim light for he had just feasted on blood.

Seemingly satisfied of the outcome, he returned to a taller, much frightening figure.

The figure who murdered my father ...

Fingers clawed and bloody, eyes that evilly shone the darkest shade of blood...

It was a mistake to say that these people were once thought as humans. The beast licked his bloody fangs and let out a sardonic smirk.

   "I still hear a heartbeat..."

chapter 1

 Eloise

...It crushes me inside...

In a twinkle of an eye, I could feel his fingers around my neck on my feet from the floor.

It was so sudden, I was already disoriented. I couldn't move or breathe. I stayed lifeless but my eyes were wide open, staring at this scarlet eyes of a vampire.

"Such Cute little thing..."

He gripped my neck tighter. I quickly jolted into reality and begun violently crashing about. I screamed, trying to dig my baby rough fingers into his cold flesh... Trying to revenge.

I screamed so hard, kicking him hard on his side but all my efforts seems like an ant's. He lets out a sinister smirk showing a set of dangerous fangs. I was nothing more than a treat to them, a feisty snack.

My struggling continued till I was over exhausted with my lack of breath, coupled with my puny efforts. All seemed a waste.

I was still staring at him in languish. He looked back at me.

"Sure would be a waste to  feast on. you, little rogue, are coming with me.

with that, he clamped something hard and cold on my already bruised neck. It was an iron collar, connected to a heavy chain, meant for wild beasts,l.he tossed me like a rag doll on the floor and forcibly dragged the chain pulling me along with him.

I whimpered and cried in pain as I could feel the heavy unpleasant leash bruising the skin on my delicate neck.

We got out of the dark temple to the blinding daylight. I slowly looked back to what had used to be my home. The memories, the people, everything.

Right there, I knew, my life was never going to remain the same, everyone I ever knew was killed before my eyes.

They boarded their horses and I was chained to one of the horses belonging to the one that murdered my father.

The journey lasted for days. No food, no water... we kept on moving. I was often pulled by the man with the iron collar to move faster. The worms in my stomach were screaming for food. My legs were wobbly and weak as I had been walking 4 hours without rest.

The Domineers ( as the rogues would call them) talked and laughed among themselves, occasionally glancing back at me to ensure I was still alive.

The amount of blood they Salvaged from my people could make them stay for days, even weeks without food.

At my tender age, it was hard to believe that out of a whole group, I was the only one who didn't die yet. Sometime I could see what seems like ghost of the people they murdered, this scared the pigments out of my hair.

It seemed I was going down with the Marie Antoinette syndrome because of the extreme trauma. My hair had turned from honey brown to pure white, along with my eyebrows and lashes.

But was too traumatized to notice that I had sustained multiple injuries and bruises from falling the forest floor. Days passed, night went by and for the first time the dragging and pulling finally stopped.

I collapsed to the floor and had almost falling unconscious because of the exhaustion. Was it over? I thought to myself. Sadly not, it was just the beginning.

Before my brain could register what was happening I felt something terribly cold splash on my weak fragile body.

I quivered severely, as if I was having a terrible electricity shock. Who could be so heartless us to splash ice water on a child during cold autumn?!

I looked up to see a tall willowy woman looking down on me with a facetious gaze. Someone beside her was with a metal bucket which I guessed was where the very terribly Cold water was from.

that evening was very windy and cold and I was made wet by the heartless woman. I began to violently Shiver in extreme cold. I had only a thread bare frock with a torn old Haggard jacket.

I could see the tall red eyed man receiving a little sack from the rude woman  He was selling me off. The man turned to me and remove the iron collar from my neck. there were many blisters on my skin, along with red marks and cuts before it was replaced with a leather collar.

The red eyed man waved his hat to the  woman and got on his horse leaving me with her who hissed  in annoyance as she turned to me. She pulled the collar with the given to her by the man while hissing terribly.

"Rip off! How on earth could a scrawny white haired rogue cost me 10 gold coins?! Unbelievable!..."

In annoyance she shoved the leash to one of her minions as she walked briskly. They pulled me into a large terrifying building, which was the same temperature with the freezing cold outside.

Slowly looking around, I was frightened at such an infrastructure. I had been nowhere  outside the ruined temple, I had no memories or the outside world.

The mammoth building encaged inside was so large yet so scary, gothic yet gargantuan. I looked around, seeing different figures, some human, some Domineers, some inexplicable. The captured were treated as objects or animals, being stripped of freedom.

The walls that surrounded the building were made of thick stone bricks as high as though to reach the heavens being additionally fortified with iron spikes given that no one escaped.

The inner building were divided into segments, each floor for a specific purpose and each room for it's role.

We had gotten into the building and I could also hear voices, voices that we're pricing the cost of creatures both human and beasts alike. It seemed that I was going to be bound in an auction house...

I was dragged on, the floors of the building were tiled and smooth but very slippery. I was still dripping wet and my legs where shaky and very unstable making it difficult not to fall.

On several occasions, I had slipped and spell on my face and body, Annoying the vixen.

As I fell again, I was attacked with a long and painful whip on my back, which tore my skin. I let out a painful gasp and coiled in agony. I was only a child of 7.

As the woman tugged on the leash and saw that I didn't move, she landed numerous strips on all parts of my body. I was in excruciating pain, I couldn't think straight.

That time my body was lacerated and beautified with painful strips of open flesh. I went and limit in hurt, but surprisingly, not a teardrop fell from my eye. My eyes were still as bright as day.

This annoyed the vile woman. She tugged on the leash again and I slowly moved for fear of being lacerated.

A door was open, leading to staircase which was going lower and lower. It was dark and grim with screams and screeches, which some were human and some were not.

I gripped the hem of my dirty, grubby wet dress for fear of the unknown, where were they taking me?

Suddenly, they stopped. I looked up to see the Willowy woman rummaging through a set of thick heavy keys. It took some time before she found the key which I guessed was the one she was looking for.

She held up a very heavy key and opened the large, iron door before her. Just like that, everywhere became as silent as a graveyard.

This caused me to have a deep pit feeling of dread in my stomach.

"Such stupid creatures..." She muttered in disgust.

Her minions dragged me inside and replaced my leash with on iron color which was change to the wall so I couldn't escape.

The woman mumbled something unintelligible and shut the door, locking it behind her. I could see her figure leaving through a little opening barred in the iron door.

For the first time, I slowly looked around the room to see faces staring at me. Some were my age and some were older. All looking malnourished and battered.

They were female humans just like me. I turned at them, with eyes wide open, marking their faces one by one, until one spoke.

  "Such boney young lass..."

To be continued...
