**SEASON 1 (HUMANS REALM)

Prologue**

In order to serve my country...I put up with

**all the suffering and never slacked off. I intended to become the strongest on my land and protect it under his lordship and today I am finally about to achieve what I desired the most. Now I will be a high ranking percival, able to command over a thousand troops at once!

Hmm...indeed unbelievable. I rose from a no body infantry to a golden percival, yes I knew it. In the Era that I live, the Shining Age of Twilight, you get what you strive for! O my dear homeland! I will try my best to protect you. I will slay all those who mean trouble to my country in your name. especially the ones I hate the most...(Percival Kennel in thoughts**...)

"I didn't expect it would be you Kennel, what a coincidence". The familiar voice of waked the young Kennel from his thoughts. He looked at where the voice was coming and to his surprise it was no one but Minister Reinhold.

(Minis..ter...) Kennel from division 101 at your service minister! Kennel was amazed to see Minister Reinhold talking to him. After all an Azure rank minister is itself near the rank of a king. Kennel expected to see a minister, because the coming of a minister is necessary to approve the ascendance of a percival.

A minister in ascendance ceremony stands for all the dominant royal families of the capital and his approval of the candidate percival means all the Royalties welcome the new percival. Although a king's words are absolute, but in Neiya Kingdom it has been long a tradition for a king to seek royalties acceptance for a percival. It's something that the very first king offered to the families which helped him create the today Neyia Kingdom and it's been going on since then.

Well, the thing that amazed Kennel was to see Azure minister coming in person for his approval. For him it was like a dream to see a high rank of those kind, after all our poor Kennel was from an ordinary countryside family.

After a moment of talking, minister was about to go for his seat and his last words sharpened in Kennel's mind:" I am expecting further achievements from you Kennel, Every one of us is!".

The ceremony was about to start as the 13th king of Neiya, Rogen and the crown prince Fuhan and his subordinates entered the Hall of Flames. After doing the neccessary, the ceremony started with the sign of minister Reinhold and and a Mage started reading Kennel's current achievements, pointing out in the end that he is eligible to enter the ring of fire.

Kennel's heartbeat raced for every word that he was hearing and soon he was remembering how the recent years passed till his ascendance. moments later, the king was standing in front him wielding his sword over Kennel's shoulder " I hereby declare that, Sir Kennel had shown further intuition and has proved to be a loyal to his country. His achievements are astonishing and therefore is qualified to be a percival and shall join the Ring of Fire!". Then the minister approved him on behalf of the capital Royalties.

Kennel was almost out of his mind. His mixed feelings were driving his blood with utmost heat. He could not think of anything else but only his non-stop efforts that led him to his current position. He was happy but then remembered where he is and replied fast but in full vigor," I Kennel, swear to put all I got on the line for my country, for my king, and for my people. I shall never be at ease until I see the blood of my kingdom's enemies scorching on the ground by the sun!"

"Hmm, a satisfactory response, then you shall unite with the ring, unite and become one. remember that the hope of this kingdom from now on lies in you Percival!".

The crown prince stated his stance toward Kennel which encouraged him further more. at last the ceremony was about to end and he was about to receive his special token of recognition. A token which proves one's title as a percival (there'll be more description later).

but happiness doesn't always come in one piece. Just when his was about give a few drops of his blood to bind the token, the door opened suddenly and a man stormed in while yelling. after hearing his words there was a sudden chill on Kennel's back and the king plus others went silent.

What did the man say? And what was awaiting Kennel in the outside world?

Chapter 1

The man which was a normal knight came in a hurry with no requests for permission. Although it was rude, but the news he brought completely washed up all the thoughts about the etiquette thing. He then described that he was a guard from taxes caravan from the border castle Ranbauren. While they had just started moving toward the designated tax collecting rig, only after 3 hours they were heavily plundered by goblins, to the point that no one survived. Shortly after taking a breath, he also said that suspects Ranbauren might have already fallen into goblins' hands.

"If you are telling everyone is dead, then how come you're the only survivor?", Said Fuhan, the crown prince with a serious look. The knight just replied in fear,"My lord, I dare not lie. If it was not for my cowardice, I would have fought bravely and died. The moment they attacked we were taking part time rest and some of the guards were asleep. We were shocked to see goblins on our lands. Our captain was killed by a goblin archer, so we didn't have a chance to react and lost our will to fight".

"A knight with no pride can not continue their life but in shame! Since knights are remembered thorough their pride, you can not be called a knight anymore and shall be punished accordingly. what kind of man escapes from the battlefield and leave their comrades behind?" said Fuhan while was angry.

"Spare him for the time being, now we should focus on more important things. What is your idea of the current situation Reinhold?", The king looked calm.

- Minister Reinhold: I think we need to send a group to investigate it thoroughly. The case looks suspicious. Percival Meg was there 2 weeks ago and suddenly went missing. We don't know his whereabouts yet and now this happened. If this man is telling the truth, then I think there's more going on than just plundering resources.

- Rogan: So what are you saying is...

- Minister Reinhold: I am not sure yet milord...We have to see what is truly going on there.

- Fuhan: But we don't have any percival for the current case. They are busy with their own matters and Percival Kennel does not know of any magic yet.

- Kennel: please let me go for the investigation your majesty. Although I have not any knowledge of magic but I have a brave heart that fears no enemies and a mind full of combat experience. I can surely do the right thing and would not let your majesty down.

- Rogan: I am glad to hear your determination Percival, but world is a place full of surprises. One of my subordinate's life is already at danger. I do not want to risk for more.

- Kennel: this...My lord, rest assured. Kennel would come back not only unharmed but with my hands full. In a situation that my country's people are being hunted, I would not let them get hurt any further. My job is slaying the intruders not to die.

The moment Percival Kennel said those words, there was a sudden warmth flowing through Rogan's heart, he felt calm and with a slight smile decided to let the new adventurer handle the case.

- If that is so, then I'll let you go for investigation. but have in mind percival Kennel, I do not accept failure or death. do not let down.

- Percival Kennel: I'll come back in victory my lord.

- Minister Reinhold: Still we need to take some precautions. You will be given the elite cavalry and some mages. but remember, do not take rest until you reach Ranbauren.

- Percival Kennel: As you say minister.

A few hours later Kennel started to march toward Ranbauren with 3 elite units of cavalry and a group of 3 mages at utmost speed. They reached Kazan at night. Tomorrow they set off for Kerdan passage so that they'll reach to their destination faster. After passing Kerdan passage in midday, they some how managed to reach Ephira till night, which is a city that is only 1 day away from Ranbauren. However after Ranbauren incident, things have already changed in Ephira too, far beyond what Kennel could imagine.

What was waiting fro Percival? Take a wild guess

Chapter 2

People at Ephira are not that rich and powerful. Majority of them are ordinary peasants. Some noble families are here but not to mention, there are no Azure or Golden Feather families to be seen in this rural city. Though the city's elder and captain are well famed across the southern region of the kingdom.

"Who are they?","they have come to help?","My...are they just this much?","guess that mage was right about this". The whispers of the Ephira people on the side roads which were watching Kennel and his men silently, Percival was not sure if they are welcoming them or no but hearing their words had made him suspicious. He then immediately ordered a knight (from cavalry group) to go around the city and ask around to see what happened.

"May I ask what is your business here?" A man took percival's attention that was wearing heavy armor, looked like kind of infantry captain with a group of pikemen following him. "Are you the city captain?", asked kennel.

- Yes I am. But you did not answer my question.

- My apology. I am Percival Kennel and I am coming from capital for the investigation of the Ranbauren.

- If that is so, then where are your men? Are you intending to defeat all thoss wild orcs and werewolves with just a mere group of cavalry and mage?

- (A cavalry speaks in arrogance) watch your tongue! You are in front of a Percival.

- I do not mean rudeness. First I don't see a token which shows you are a valid as Percival. Second how do I know if you are not sneaking in and you aren't enemy?

- What do you mean by we are enemies?

- Infantry captain: forget it. Pikemen! Surround these intruders!

Percival was so surprised to see how the he and men were welcomed in city. But he was not fond of arguing with others. Instead, he was curious to see what had happened outside the city which made the people inside so alert. Meanwhile he was struggling to persuade the city captain that he is not enemy, the elder of Ephira had already been informed about their arrival and sent a messenger to bring them for further discussion about Ranbauren. However the poor infantry captain didn't know of anything about percival's mission and thought of him as an enemy in disguise.

- Pikemen, ready. We can not let enemy to roam around inside our city. Hold your weapons and bring them down!

- Pikemen: We shall perish the intruders on behalf of our dead brothers.

- (this doesn't look good. Pikemen hold the uperhand against cavalry and those crossbow men on the rooftops can handle the mages easily).

- City Captain: crossbows ready! Fire with my sig...(intrrupted)

- Hold your wepons. Do not be hostile toward our guests.

- City Captain: Who are you?

- I am the city elder's new henchman. Elder ordered to bring them at him without any troubles.

- City Captain: but they are enemies. we can't let them reach the city elder.

- Henchman: I don't have any more information. Elder said they are percival and his men that are here to help. He will also give you information about this. Currently he urges to see them.

- Then you shall guide them. Men hold your weapons for but stay alert and be careful.

Following the henchman's lead, percival and his men went to meet the city elder along with the city captain. It took the henchman to persuade captain but it wasn't hard. Besides it's been few hours that he was back from a fight with goblins, so he didn't want any other problems. after some time, the company reached in front of a 3 floor building thorough the main road and Kennel was also exhausted from his long travel. but he was still grateful to those haste potions that he had. without them he wouldn't even reach where he was now in the next month!

- Henchman: Percival, you may enter the city hall now, the elder is waiting for. Also captain, if you have any questions, you can ask elder. He invited you to discuss about the city's safety and precautions.

From Kennel's view, the city hall, where the elder would always mangae the city from, was not any weird. Although it's building was old and some of the walls were crackd, still it looked resilient. Plus the wooden windows with ironic old class crests looked stylish and the setting sun view which they passed on to viewers eyes were just so stunning and relaxing. For a moment he remebered the days when he was a child and how he would enjoy his family's gathering when the sun was about to set. The scenary in the long pass of the city hall reminded him of the gathering 15 years ago. Then a flash of what happened to his whole village waked him from his nice thoughts and told him that beauty doesn't mean safety. Also the pikemen in both side of the hall were armed to teeth. He tried to get himself on the mission. Afterall he had a feeling that something is going to happen, maybe similar to something...from 15 years ago.

- (A soldier near the door of Elder's room) Elder! Percival and Captain Rein are behind the doors!

- mhm...let them in.

The doors opened and Kennel started walking in alongside the captain. "Well, I have been waiting for some time.", said the elder, a man who did not looked that old nor young, roughly about his 50's or higher. "My apology, our captain didn't know you will be coming here, for his little quarrel with you." His voice was a little rough and heavy. Kennel was making up some words but didnt want to argue over the past, since the current uprise was urgent. He wanted to focus on the recent events to see what has been goin on in south eastern borders.

- Percival: No problems. Let's get to business.

- Oh then. I am the city elder of Ephira. It's nice to meet you Percival Kennel. I had already been informed thorough the on and only teleport in the center of this building that you will be arriving here soon. Since Captain Rein did not have any chance of coming here and was busy defending the city, I could not inform him about you. so...

- Percival Kennel: if possible I want to hear about this defending thing you mentioned just now.

- Then I guess Rein would take it from this point.

- Ehm...the whole thing started two weeks ago percival. A knight came in here and claimed he is a guard of the tax collecting crew. His injuries didn't let him to speak more till next week. We already sent a group of infantry to investigate it, but since it came out of the blue we didn't find anything, till we heard about Ranbauren. They have a teleport too and sent us a letter though it. At first we couldn't believe but then the same thing happened to us just before your arrival.

- Percival: I want to see the letter, if possible.

Kennel continued to hear the situation from Captain Rein and was carefully analyzing the possibilities. He also read the letter and thought of coming to a conclusion. But some part of the story still remained a mystery and he wanted to know that. If it was goblins doing, how come they are attacking now after a hundred years?
