               Russell Zealand (ML)

The eldest son of the Zealand Family

Height: 6feet 5 inches tall

Age: 22

A software development prodigy

Personality: Can be cold and distant but is truly kind and caring especially towards his younger sister Winter.

 He decided to do his university internship at his sister's school as an assistant I.T teacher. Even at his age has never been in a serious relationship. Until he met Ordelias.

Age: A sixteen year old

Chemistry Student who moved to a new school after an incident at her old one.

She is the youngest of the three siblings of the Star family.She is

Height: Five feet 4 inches tall.

She is kind and caring but is in no way weak.

Passion: She has a passion Mixed Martial Arts and has been doing it since she was 8 ,when her mother passed away.

She is brilliant with both book smarts and street smarts.

...Kia Foster (2nd FL)...

She is the only daughter of the Foster family.

Height: She is Five feet six inches tall.

She has been Ordelias' best friend since there were kids.They do everything together including get into trouble together.

Personality: She is six months older than Ordelias but acts like her mother sometimes. She is kind ,loving and caring but doesn't often show this side of herself. To others she can seem as unruly, sassy and cold.

Passion: She has a passion for Auto Mechanics and Bow staffs. She is extremely quick witted and cautious. She's cute but dangerous

...Winter Zealand (3rd FL)...

The only daughter of the Zealand Family.

Age : She is sixteen years old.

Height: And Five feet two inches tall.

Passion: She has a passion for designing and is very good at it.

Personality: She is shy, soft spoken and can't stand up for herself. But with the help of Ordelias and Kia she finds her inner strength.

...Riley Storm (V)...

The only daughter of the Storm Family, business tycoons.

Age: She is 17 years old.

Personality: She can be extremely selfish and strong-willed She has Ben spoiled by her parents science she was born and so is used to getting exactly what she wants.

She tries very hard to get Russell to notice her but fails. When Ordelias enters the picture she becomes extremely frustrated and vows to get her out at any cost.

...Jayden Storm ....

The only son of the Storm Family. Riley's older half brother.

Height: He is 6 feet tall. He is Russell's best friend.

Age: He is 22 years old .

Passion: He is an architecture major .

Character: Energetic and Charismatic, kind, caring and loving, the opposite of his sister. He loves his sister and constantly cleans up her messes.

"Russell, Russell", I heard my little sister call with a voice so shrill it could shatter glass. I covered my ears with a pillow and pretended not to here her calls hoping she would go away, but as usual it didn't work, she just kept shouting and banging as if her life depended on it. After a while I couldn't stand it anymore, a couple more minutes of sleep was not worth bleeding ears, so I got up, got ready and headed downstairs.

"his royal highness finally decided to grace us with his presence" my sister teased as I entered the dinning room.

"oh shut up" I shot back

" enough of that" mother said " Eat your breakfast and leave for school"

      Okay. it's clarification time, I know it sounds like a 23 year old man is going back to high school, but I decided to take a year off before starting my Masters. My mother said it was a waste of time so made me apply for an assistant teacher role at my sister's high school and I start today.

"hurry up Russell ,we're are gonna be late" Winter yelled.

" I'm coming" I yelled back, " hopefully if I'm late on the first day I might get fired" I added in a whisper.

I think my mother heard me cause she shot me a dirty look and said "no one's gonna be late in my house".

Hearing her words I got up and headed for my car.

We got in and drove to the school.

" you know what bro", Winter stated

" Know what?" , I asked.

" The fact that you have a degree in I. T, have a job and can afford a house, but you still live with us" She asked.

" Well..." I started

" You know what forget I asked you're probably too cheap anyways".

Before I could say anything, we had reached the school, so she jumped out of the car and ran away. *I swear I'll show her what's what when we get home*

I stood outside the school took a deep breath and walked inside to the principal's office.

" come in", I heard after I knocked on the door

" Good morning sir", I said when I walked in

" Good morning Mr. Zealand" He said, "welcome to our prestigious school, again ".he added

" thank you sir"

" you're welcome, but if I might ask why would such a qualified person seek for a position as an assistant teacher", he asked.

*it wasn't by choice* " Well, I decided to take some time off from my education to gain some real world experience, plus I want to share the little I know with the students and encourage them to take up careers in my field". I responded half honestly

" Ah okay then, I wish you luck" he said. " Go to the staff room and meet up with Mr. Anders, the resident I.T teacher, and he will inform you of your role" he added

" Thank You", I said and left the office.

I made my way to the staff room. I stopped in front of the door and looked at it. Inside that room were all the teacher who taught me when I went here. Some I liked others I couldn't stand, so much so that I did and said some stupid stuff to them when I graduated. I mean I'm not a bad kid, I never got into trouble, okay I never got into that much trouble when I was in school, but when I graduated I couldn't hold back anymore and acted out, but in my defense, if you take away so many of my PlayStations you're calling for a relatiation , but hopefully they've forgiven me, cause it's been a while. After 20 minutes of standing at the door , I worked up the nerve and entered the room. Fortunately or unfortunately, the first person I saw was Mr. Anders.

" Um.. Mr. Anders, the principal asked me to come see you" I said nervously.

"Ah, Mr. Zealand in trouble again are we", he said in a sarcastic tone

" Umm it not like that"

" haha, I know I was just teasing" he said while laughing

"hahaha" I gave a nervous laugh

" But I am quite surprised that the most difficult student I had that year has persued a career in I.T especially after he toilet papered my house and defaced my car with the words" I.T sucks"

" Umm ah, people grow, change and umm... forgive".,I said in a voice no louder than a whisper.

"Well, what's past is past we have better things to do than to reminisce in past events".

"yes please" , I said egger to change the topic

"Okay, today will just be an introduction, so after all the lessons we'll meet up here to talk in detail about your role" He stated, "Agreed?", he added.

"Yes" I responded

We had a total of eight classes that day. By the seventh I was used to the routine, enter, greet, introduce, lesson.

In the eight class, Mr. Anders asked me to introduce myself, like I did in the last seven classes,

" Well, there's not much to say", I started, "my name is Russell Zealand, I'm 23 years old and I'll be your assistant I.T teacher for this semester and I hope we get along fine. Umm.. my door is always open if you need my help", I said simply looking around the room.

As I was looking around the room, as usual , most of the girls were staring at me as if I was candy for the taking. What was unusual though was two girls in the middle row, who like the others were looking at me , had no admiration or any emotion for that matter for me in their eyes.

Call me self conceited but that really bothered me.

One of the girls had brown hair that reminded me of the sand at the beach and a milk chocolate like skin color, the other had jet black hair, like night, and a fair skin tone, they were pretty especially the first one ,but I'm no pervert.

"Russell', I heard Mr. Anders call my name .

"why don't you take a seat while I start class"

"Oh, of course" I said and turned around to take a seat

Normally, in the other classes, I took a seat at the back, but here I found myself sitting in the empty seat next to those two girls.

"hi", I said gently

"hi" they responded in unison and then turned to face the board

Whiles Mr. Anders was busily teaching there was only one thing on my mind, what were their names, *out of curiosity, of course*.

(This is the first day of school but from the FL's point of view)

"Good morning girls", Mrs.Amanda said as we came down the stairs.

"Good morning auntie", we both responded in unison.

"So, today's a big day", she said when we sat at the table. She was referring to the fact that it was our first day at a new school.

"Yea, it is",Kia responded "and I'm actually a little scared", she added a little surprised at her own emotions.

Hearing the word "scared" from her mouth, I stopped eating and looked at her shocked. I could hardly remember the last time she said that word. Even when we were being hurled off to this place that word never once escaped her lips.

" what?", she asked when she realized I was looking at her.

" nothing" , I lied and went on eating my food.''

"Anyway, I know you will have a great day today so don't get nervous"

"Thanks, Auntie", we said

" you're welcome, now finish eating quickly and I'll take you to school".

 After breakfast Auntie drove us to school in her Porsche.

As I sat in the car, looking out the window I couldn't help but remember the event that lead to us being here.

Actually, it started as a pretty good day, my dad dropped me of at school instead of the driver because he had free time that morning and he promised to treat me to a father daughter date that weekend. I was really happy

    I love my dad, he's so caring and always makes time for my siblings and I no matter how busy he is.

After reaching school, as usual, I meet up with Kia In the cafeteria.

" Here you go"'I said handing her a box of toffees.

"Coconut toffees" She said with excitement when she opened the box.

" Destiny and I made a big batch yesterday and there was a lot leftover so I thought I'd bring you some".

"Thanks,...mm.. you know...mm ..how much..mm...I love these things", she said with toffees in her mouth

"you're welcome"

We sat there eating toffees and talking till the bell rang for class to begin.

"Wait, we have chemistry for first period, right" I asked, not quite sure.

"yea" Kia simply answered

We got up and walked to chemistry class

" Okay class, for today's lesson we're gonna do an experiment and you all get to work in pairs and choose a project of your liking", our teacher told us when class began.

I was really excited and as usual, Kia and I were partners.

The experiment we choose was to recreate explosive matter but on a much smaller and safer scale. Now that I think about it, that wasn't a very good idea.

After class, no pair had managed to complete their project so the teacher decided to give us the following day's period to finish.

You know, they say patience is a virtue, but sadly it is a virtue I do not have.

I was so in the zone with the experiment that I didn't want to wait till the following day to finish it. We were done with the experimental equation, all we had left to do was to test it. So, I decided to sneak into the Laboratory after school to test it out. * I knew it is was wrong, but as I said patience isn't a virtue of mine*

After school I told my driver I would stay late to work on a project so I'd call him to pick me up later, *technically I didn't lie*

I snuck towards the lab but as I was about to open the door, I felt a hand on my shoulder and I almost jumped out of my own skin.

"oh calm down ", I heard a familiar voice say

I turned around to find Kia looking at me with an "I caught you" expression on her face.

"Kia," I said in a shocked voice, "What are you doing here"

" I should be asking you that"

"Me , I was just wandering around", I lied

"Yea, around and into the chemistry lab" She said glaring at me.

"Um ... I umm was just..",I started

"Save it. I know you want to go into the lab and finish the experiment", she said in a serious tone.

All I could do was look at her and smile nervously.

"sigh... 10 minutes", she said.

"huh?" I asked confused

"I'm gonna give you 10 minutes to go and finish the experiment, I'll stand guard"

"Really, oh my goodness, thank you, girl I owe you one",I said as I opened the lab door and entered before she could change her mind.

I started with the experiment, but something went wrong,I don't know what, but something definitely went wrong because as soon as I added the last material the beaker became red hot and started shaking violently. Seeing this I immediately got out of the lab and closed the door behind me.

Kia looked like she wanted to say something, then "BOOM". That was the sound of an explosion. To be fair, this was not my first explosion but was definitely my biggest. In fact, it was so big it completely destroyed the lab and shook the whole building, knocking Kia and I to the ground.

Upon hearing the explosion, the remaining teachers in the school ran towards the lab to investigate.They saw Kia and I on the ground and helped us up. After ensuring we were okay they took us to the principal's office for questioning.

When we were interogated and the security cameras were watched we were found guilty of breaking school rules, distraction of school property and endangering of lives.

"Ordelias, Kia, I am so disappointed in the both of you. What you did was not only reckless but also extremely dangerous." Principal Johnson said

"I'm so sorry Ma'am, I know what I did was wrong, I was reckless, impatient and didn't consider the consequences of my actions.", I said with genuine regret.

"You know you actions call for immediate expulsion, right?", she said.

"What",Kia and I both said in unison

"But, since you both are such excellent students, I'll give you an ultimatum",she said

"An ultimatum?", I asked confused.

"Yes, either you choose to get expelled or you participate in an exchange programme. If you choose the exchange programme, after the programme, I'll act as if nothing happened."

"Well, that's not really much of a choice so I guess we'll choose...."Kia started

"wait, which school is it", I interrupted.

Kia gave me a questioning look but did not say a word.

"Well..., it's Eden High", Principal Johnson said with a tiny hint of pity in her voice. "The school board thought it would help strengthen both schools relations.

"Of course they did", I said

"Is that bad?", Kia asked clearly clueless.

"Yea kind of, Eden High is Royal Academy's biggest rivals, going there as an exchange student is equivalent to labeling yourself as the number 1 public enemy of both schools".

"again is that bad?" she asked

" well, it's not so bad, but still"

" great,but, what is the duration of the exchange".Kia asked

"Not long, only a semester". Principal Johnson said."

"Okay then I guess we agree" I said

"Great, I'll inform your parents. and don't worry I won't tell them of today's event, besides they donate enough, to build hundreds of chemistry labs".

We knew she basically just blackmailed us but we couldn't help but thank her profusely. If my dad found out, begin expelled would be the least of my problems.

Our parents agreed to the exchange thinking we were doing it willingly.

And just like that, we were on a plane to Eden City the following week.

"Ordelias, Ordelias!", I heard Kia yell my name. " Where were you girl"

"what, nowhere, where are we",I said

"School, now get up and let's go", she said opening the car door.

We got out, Auntie wished us luck and drove away.

We looked up at the school and held hands.

"Kia",I said

"yes"

"I'm sorry for dragging you into my mess, this is all my fault",I apologized to her

"You didn't drag me into anything, I willingly came along for the ride".She said with a smile

"Thanks girl" I said smiling

"You're welcome".

We walked into the new chapter of our lives and I knew then that with my sworn sister by my side, nothing could knock me down.

At least, that was before I got knocked down.

Out of nowhere a short, fair girl bumped into me knocking me to the ground.

"ouch",I cried

"Oh my goodness I am so sorry, I didn't mean to bump into you, I wasn't watching where I was going", she apologized.

"Oh it's okay",I said getting up with Kia's help.

"My name is Winter and I'm so sorry, Right now I have to go but I'll make it up to you later, I promise", She said running off.

"Well, that was something",Kia said

"Yea, lets head to class before something else happens".

The first lessons of the day were okay, nothing interesting happened, but on the last lesson a new assistant teacher named Russell was introduced and all the girls went crazy. I mean he was good looking but come on, have some dignity. Throughout his introduction it felt as if he was looking at me, but the weirdest thing happened when he was asked to take a seat and he took the seat right next to me.

At that point I could feel the other girls glaring at me.

Oh, boy, This was going to be a long semester.
