"Where is this?" i feel light headed everything is so bright and hazy.

it feels like i have no weight , as if i'm floating .

I try to move , but i cant .

"Whats going on? why cant i move?"

"Who is that? Where are you?is this heaven ? i mean it feels nice here but i don't think i want to satay here for ever"

I ask as i hear a dignified voice as if god is speaking to me.

* You are quite the talkative one. *

The voice said but not answering my question.

"At least tell me if i'm dead what am i doing here ? why cant i see you?"

* You are about to be reborn , hmm... interesting *

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY REBORN , I'M DEAD? oh yeah you just said that sorry "i screamed, well being reborn is actually awesome , new world filled with chances , new adventure , girls i always had the dream of being reborn .

" Can you tell me how i died?"

*You where scared to death , you where the first to die when the cataclysm just started*

Oh yeah i remember now, god that's embarrassing .

*Being scared of clown is fine but being so scared to die from that , now that's embarrassing*

I ask  but the voice with a hint of sarcasm answered.

*God? i suppose some call me that*

"Can you at least show yourself?"

I mean this is a rude way not to show yourself right?

a figure of a not so tall middle aged man in white robes , white beard kind eyes with a slight smile wearing round eyeglasses and a good body shape appeared.

"SANTA IS THAT YOU? what happened to your stomach , are you on a diet? you look like you've lost like 100 kilos"

*Santa?*

Santa looked confused a bit.

*There is no time left , we will see each other again if you stay alive that is*

"WAIT WHAT?"

Stay alive ? why? am i not being reborn?.

Before i could say anything else i lost consciousness.

light slowly comes back to me as i open my eyes , i swear in the name of the mighty Santa that my eyelids feel like a ton.

" hey you, you'r finally awake "

Why dose this sound familiar?

a middle aged man brown hair straight body wearing white doctors coat  approached me .

" Lad you suddenly lost consciousness you ok there?"

He sounded concerned.

" I think i'm fine thank you "

"Now that your awake get back to the frontline , you don't need me to show you the way do you?"

"No sir i will go there myself" i said as i stand up and wear my armor ,  and walk outside .

This body belongs to a young man around 20 to 21 , he is in a good shape brown hair green eyes tall around 180 cm, handsome features , at least i'm handsome, not as much as i actually was but still acceptable.

I can clearly remember his memories , his name is shayan , a golden spoon who has never seen blood , embarrassingly he died from being frighted from all the blood in battlefield , DAMNT SANTA , YOU DID THIS ON PURPOSE .

If i remember correctly this is western frontline defending the human empire from the wild beast hordes coming every once in  awhile.

the wild beasts are essentially normal beast mutated because of mana radiation .

The arbaelo empire , the only empire of the humans , its surrounded by water from north south and east , while the west is the great wilderness .

The landmass of the empire is bigger than the entire landmass of the world before the cataclysm , while the wilderness is hundreds of time bigger , not mention the endless seas .

How the hell is that even possible , if this is true the the size of the planet is many times bigger than Jupiter, if it is  like this  then its impossible for any life to continue because the gravity of this planet  is almost comparable to a small star.

But amazingly the gravity is completely normal, how is this even possible.

WAIT A MINUTE, MANA !!!!!! Magic , for the love of Santa , a fantasy world,

As someone who has seen many movie read many manga and novels of course i know what this means.

"WAHAHAHAHA" like a madman i started laughing.

"SHUT THE F*CK UP"

Shouted a solder at me , he angrily   approached me .

"THE HELL ARE YOU LAUGHING ABOUT , WHERE THE HELL IS YOUR WEAPON'

He was shouting at me , i noticed his armor was dark green , a team captain , one rank higher than me.

" Sir i was at the field hospital i wa.." before i could finish the captain started to shout at me again.

" I don't give a f*ck about that get your goddamn weapon and go back to the battle or i will punish you by military law as a deserter, DO YOU UNDERSTAND?"

"SIR YES SIR" i replied as i saluted and started running back to get the weapon.

Military law for desertion is execution on spot of course i run , i was just reborn man i don't want to die right away .

that was captain Hoe , extremely strict but at the same time very reliable , i'm a solder under him

While shayan was running to get the weapon the team captain was watching his back , at that time another solder approached  him , if shayan was here he would see the other man was wearing the same dark green full body armor.

" Aren't you too hard on him Hoe ? you know who he is right?" a two meter tall with red hair and eyes with a normal looking face and hawk nose, the team captain that just arrived asked Hoe , Hoe was more normal looking  black hair and eyes sharp face shape, black eyebrows.

"Humph... i don't care who he is outside  but here he is just a solder , this is the army not his backyard , anyways they sent him here to be tempered through fire and blood not to have fun" answered Hoe.

The team captain shrugged his shoulders saying" your team your rules".

rushing back to the field hospital , opening the door not watching where i'm stepping , i hit some thing hard falling on something soft , hearing a soft moan under me.

"Soft really soft, hmmm... its so easy to shape in my hand  perfectly fitting my hand , why does this feel so familiar "

a soft moaning coming from under me and a soft voice speaking in a very small voice " your Majesty this is not the place lets go back to your tent if you want "

Your Majesty? who is that ash*ole  seducing a girl in the  field hospital,while trying to get up i check under me to see  twitching  cat ears  beautiful blue eyes , oval shaped face completely red from neck to top , WAIT A MOMENT , CAT EARS , BY SANTA'S BEARD THEY EXISTS .

"Your majesty please i have to take care of the wounded can you take your hand away its really embarrassing " said the cat girl in extremely soft vice if you didn't pay attention you would not hear it.

Wait your majesty doesn't that me i'm the ash*le seducing girl's in the field hospital? now this is just....

Play it cool Shayan stay cool, i take my hand off and slowly stand up, and helping her up.

"Ahem sorry about that , i didn't pay attention to where i was stepping and fell on you "

Hmmm why does she look so familiar? thinking hard organizing the memories , i suddenly remember she is the maid of the original owner of this body , her name is Angela she was with him since childhood , taking care of him  all the time.

Angela this girl she looks like an 17 18 year old in her prime of her life has taken care of the past owners body like he was a child , to the past shayan she was like a big sister.

' Honestly this is a bit weird , i don't know what to say to her'

While Shayan was thinking of what to say Angela was gathering the medicine that fell down on the grown due to the collision.

She picked everything while Shayan helped her .

"You majesty, i will be sent outside the camp today" she said , she was  looking at Shayan with worried look on her face , as if if she left him Shayan would die any second.

' Man this prince must have been really useless for her to not even dare leave him alone ' Shayan thought .

"Why did they order you to go outside the camp?" Shayan asked .

"Medicine supplies are running low, we need more and since i knew the necessary medicine that the camp needs , they ordered me to go with a team to get what is necessary"

Shayan listened  while looking around ' yes the casualties are increasing with it the need for more medicine '

"If it's orders there isn't anything we can do , do your best and stay safe on the trip" Shayan said feeling better now that she will get away from the frontline.

"Your majesty i won't be here for a few days or so , while i'm not here please eat your meals , and take care of your self don't go near the frontline stay where you can be safe , i cleaned you tent and put some fruit on the table please eat them an....."

She worriedly started to talk faster and faster until Shayan stopped her.

" Ok ok stop being worried so much i will be fine " Shayan said with a wry smile on his face.

" No your majesty last time i left you didn't eat anything for three days they had to take you to the field hospital to get treated" still insisting she started to lecture him again.

' This guys must have been a good for nothing i'm surprised that this girl can tolerate him'

"OK OK i will do everything you said don't worry , i have to hurry or the captain will kill me i cant stay any longer "

Shayan said trying to run away from her.

" Ok your majesty please take care" seeing him running she said while secretly saying " idiot ".

While running  to get his weapon , Shayan had a slight smile on his face feeling warm inside

'What a caring girl ,being with  such a useless prince like him is really hard'

While running he bumped into the doctor from before .

" Hey lad coming back so soon?"

" Yeah i forgot my weapon i'm here to get it back"

"Should be where you where laying down" the doctor said .

" Thank you doc." Shayan said while going back to where he was laying down.

'Should be here , there it is' taking back his standard military sword , about to go back to his team but suddenly  stopped.

"The hell is this?!" in front of his eyes was a red line of writing.

Shayan seeing this was really surprised ' a system whats going on? , is this a normal thing? WAIT A SYSTEM HOLY MOLLY, so much game like , is this a gaming system?'

Shayan was shocked he wanted to stay and see what would happen , but he knew if he didn't go back he would die before he would even have the chance to see the system start .

Taking his sword and rushing back to his teams tent through his memory, he followed where his memory led him to a normal looking tent , going in there is enough space for ten or so people to stand.

There was four people there with him that's a team of five there was captain Hoe who he met just i few minutes ago,

 there were also two female and another male , the tall and slender looking female a ponytail fiery red hair, she was a fire mage her name is Scarlet her name is just like herself .

The shorter female was more average, fair looking she was a bit shorter than Shayan black hair and eyes slender , she had a bow  and daggers , she was the archer of the team her name is Miya .

And the other guy had a big build , a big shield as big as a average human by his side , he had dark brown hair a majestic beard , bald head , bronze skin seems like he is under the sun a lot, the shield bearer of the team his name is Harold .

Walking in captain's voice came "Finally thought you passed out again and couldn't come"

Standing in front of captain doing a military salute "SIR" standing there.

" At ease " he said

relaxing and stepping back.

The captain said " we have a mission we will head out first light of the morning , we have lost connection with a fort at the north west 30 kilometres into the wilderness , we are tasked to go there and report whats going on there , any objection?"

Remembering further into the wilderness many forts are built , to warn the armies if there are any dangerous beasts approaching , beasts are generally categorized as follows,

Normal mutated beasts that are normal animals that have mutated and are stronger than natural animals.

Beast solders mana has affected there mutations and are way stronger , faster , more intelligent and can cooperate with each other.

Beast generals these beasts can use mana , as intelligent as humans some even more intelligent than humans, this type can lead hordes and attack human cites , they can use spells extremely strong and hard to deal with.

Beast kings, a very rare type of beasts, they are the bringer of of death and terror , they don't usually appear since they can't come to the surface unless there is a mana tide from down bellow , the mana on the surface isn't enough to support there needs , but when they appear unless extremely strong humans stop them or else they can destroy cities within minutes.

Beast Emperors , godly existence there isn't enough data recorded on them but some that have gone deep enough have seen them , they wouldn't even dare to go near, and run right away if they bump into them .

'Is there any higher ranked beasts than that i wonder , keep these thoughts out shayan you cant even deal with a normal beast right now '

While Shayan was in thought , the timer hit zero.

When he was about to check the captain said in a loud voice " Then you are dismissed for now tomorrow at first light gather here, make sure to bring enough supplies for at least four days , UNDERSTOOD?"

"SIR YES SIR" declared everyone , giving a military salute  and going outside one by one .

Going back to his tent Shayan was holding his curiosity of checking the the notification .

Trying to not look suspicious, Shayan went back to his tent.

His tent wasn't really big , there was a small bed to sleep on  , a table filled with fresh  fruits , some clothes and that was really it, some solders cant even have this much.

He was so excited that he just stood there , watching as a new line appeared before his eyes .

"Hmm.. getting skills needs a lot of time and patience , and i don't have the time to learn since i'm going for a mission tomorrow"

Seeing a notification he focused again.

Thinking that he was about to ask , as if the system knew what he was thinking about anew line was shown.

Sitting on the bed cross legged, with the sword on his lap.

He was immersed in the comfort, this continued for the next ten minutes.

When it was finally done he stood up taking his sword outside , it was already night .

Shayan went to a secluded corner of the camp , staying there he unsheathed his sword and started using it .

Stab , slash , upward slash , half moon slash , he did all poses and basic attacks perfectly  there was no flow no extra movement , as if he has done these practices hundreds of times.

when he was done he was fully drenched in sweat , he was breathing heavily.

' This feels awesome , if i was still in my last life i would be a renowned swordsman ,ok that's enough i need to wake up soon tomorrow , lets take a shower first and prepare for the mission, hooo man i'm tired'

Getting up from the ground , Shayan sheathed his sword and walking back to his tent , started to prepare for tomorrow , once everything was prepared Shayan went on his bed to sleep.

'Hey system  you still here?' asked Shayan, While laying down one arm under his head and the other on his stomach.

'do you have a timer for tomorrow ? i'm not used to waking up early in the morning you know'

Waking up in the morning the sun had not yet risen , in front of the camp door three men an two women were gathered , each had there weapons and backpacks full of supplies ,

The fiery Scarlet with a staff in her hand , wearing black military standard mage robe.

 The kind looking Miya had her bow and quiver and two daggers at her waist, she was wearing leather armor for agility.

The bald headed majestic bearded Harold, he had a huge shield and a sword full body heavy armor.

Shayan was there in his grey full body armor , a military standard sword attached to his waist .

The captain in his dark green full body armor a blade and round shield , he was distributing the tasks to the team.

"Harold you will be in front as the shield bearer you know better what to do, understood" declared the captain.

"Aye sir"

"Miya you will be in charge of scouting the surroundings , anything that's out of place you will immediately retreat and report to me for further instruction no mater what you are not to act alone UNDERSTOOD?"

captain said in a harsh tone seems like this girl has done some stupid things for the captain to be so hard on her.

"Ye.. YES SIR" said Miya she had an embarrassed look on her face , she looked really cute, but don't be fooled by her she is extremely terrifying in the battlefield , you wont even know how you died if your not careful.

"Scarlet you will be in the middle support and attack if necessary , you know what to do"

"Yes sir"

"As for you " the captain looked over Shayan , his voice becoming colder " you will stay in the middle with Scarlet , not being a burden is more than enough, understood?"

"Yes sir" said Shayan feeling a bit helpless and feeling relieved, he was weak and he knew that , better safe than sorry.

"I will take care of the back " the captain said back line was one of the most dangerous positions in a team , he took the most hardest position himself.

"Since the frontline is so heated we can't go through there , so we will take the abandoned tunnel at the foot of the mountain , half a days ride from the camp , the tunnel will lead us to the other side of the mountain, from there it will take us one day to get to the fort, since it will be dangerous we will take it slow."

Declared the captain , leading the team to the stables taking five military horses and heading out.

As much as a useless prince Shayan is he has to learn horse riding from young age , so riding  a horse is a muscle memory.
