Jenna's journel

Chapter:01

There is a distant sound of a person typing, her nails all torn with a thin wrist and the echoing sound through the hall of the huge manor.

Lighting crackles as she continues on her typewriter.

Eyes filled with an empty void she continues her writing.

  Hi...it's me Jenna, I am sorry I couldn't write to you for this past few years. It may be my last letter so i am leaving this journel to you my dear Alan.

It was just like yesterday when my father took me to your house.

It was a bright summer morning, the birds singing in the trees, people chattering away their worries with a brave smile and my father sitting before me. He was a good person but have never been to our family, a man of virtue, noble, benevolent but a strict man .

It was a visit to the Willbrows household, they were quiet high in society. The head of the Willbrows family met my father through a journey and became good friends.

Father was called for a family dinner with all the members of the household, so we had to tidy ourselves from head to toe as it was important to father. The Willbrows was a potential investor for his next journey.

My mother with my 8 year old little brother and her daughter of 15 that is me, was just sitting in the carriage like still dolls, not uttering a single word.

Except for the dull atmosphere inside the carriage the Willbrows manor was huge and lively, the servants bowed with a smile on our way inside.

We were greeted inside the manor where five people was standing there waiting for us.

Father took off his hat and return their greeting in a respectful way. We also greeted them back.

The oldest of the sibling was around my cousin, Albert age.. Maybe around 18, he was quite tall and was a handsome lad. And the youngest was a bright and charismatic little girl who was around my brother's age but the person that caught my eyes was the middle child, the young Lord of the Willbrows. He seemed to be younger than me but i couldn't dare to express his beauty. Those black eyes that seem to fill the sky and the long eyelashes that enhance the beauty of his eyes the deep black hair falling down on his crescent forehead and the quiet demeanor.

It was beauty that i have never seen before.

Hi.. said the boy before me extending his hand. He continued, "I am Alan Willbrow, nice to meet you."

I stared at his hand, I grib the hem of my dress and bowed in response. With an 'Ah.. ' he nervously took back his hand and Stravinsky his older brother  laugh and patted his back. He turned away in a moment maybe I saw a blush on his cheeks as he turned away.

Father and Murray Willbrow chatted through the entire dinner, his wife was also kind to us. But she was quite different from us, a happy, beautiful noble lady.

Mother was the quite type yet she tried her best to socialize with them.

The Willbrows was a funny and a kind family, the youngest Liliana grew fond of me.

When we were enjoying the tea after food, I snuck out using liliana as an excuse.

She was walking with me when she said she wanted to pee.. I looked around and called one of the maidservants to attend to her.

I started roaming around as liliana was no longer with me.

The place was huge filled with aesthetic decors, my favorite was the painting that I stared with my soul. It was gore painting but beautiful. Each stroke was filled with meaningful purpose not a single stroke was out of line. An oil painting depicting someone's inner fear.

"Ahmm.. ", Alan cleared his throat behind me.

Honestly I was quite surprised as if I was caught doing something that I should have not done.

I turned and gave a slight bow, the boy looked at me with mysterious eyes.

He stood besides me admiring the painting, or so I thought.

"Um.. Jenna right.. ", Alan was quite nervous.

" Yes, young Lord"

He looked so calm and collected when he spoke those words.

He stared at me for a while before parting his lips.

"Marry me, Jenna"
