It was a bright, sunny day. A girl was walking along the road, holding a small bag with her. The breeze made her hair flow elegantly. There was a bright smile on her face. She looked like an angel coming from heaven.

She had black, beautiful eyes and shining black hair. She said to herself "Cheer up, Mia. You have to reach and fulfill your goal. Your new college life starts now. Hope this one goes well." She sighed and started walking again.

After a few minutes, she stopped. She was now standing in front of a huge entrance gate. She opened the door and walked towards the campus. The campus was big with a beautiful fountain in the middle. There were many students there. At the end, there was a huge building. At the top of it, there was a name written with Big letters - Downhill University.

She went inside the building. It was a top college. It was very hard to get admission there, even for the rich kids. Only the smart and intelligent were eligible to go there. It was famous in the whole world and top 1 college in North America. Most of the students were famous. They could be called 'young scientists'.

"Hmm. It is better than I expected. No wonder, people die to get here." She said and walked towards her class. "I shouldn't be nervous."

After entering the class she quietly walked towards the middle of the class and introduced herself. "Hello everyone. I'm Mia Smith. Nice to meet you all" Everyone was silent and was staring at her. 'Why they look like they have seen a ghost or something' she thought.

"She's really pretty," someone said.

"Yeah I agree."

"I hope she is not one of those b*tches". "Yeah, hope so. "

The students started gossiping about her.

The teacher told Mia to take her seat and she quickly obeyed.

"So, where are you from? " someone said from behind. She had short blue hair and looked very young compared to Mia.

"I'm from California", Mia replied.

"Oh, by the way I'm Jasmine Davis from Los Angeles. I'm 18 years old. " The girl introduced herself with a friendly smile.

"What? You're so young. I'm 20 " said Mia though it was not surprising for her cause the university was famous for students with sharp brains despite their age or place.

"Yeah. Here age doesn't matter, what matters is your capability. That's why I got promoted directly to this class. Hehe 😅" Jasmine said nervously.

"Hmm... So it's true that only the one who is qualified and competent can only enter here" replied Mia while nodding her head.

"Ok students, let's start our class now," said the professor grabbing everyone's attention. Soon the class started.

It was lunchtime and everyone was in the canteen. Mia took her food and went towards a corner seat to have her lunch since she barely likes to socialize with anyone.

"Can I sit here?" Suddenly a girl asked with a bright smile. She had pink hair and bright pink eyes. Even she looked so young and almost like a little child.

'Am I the only one who is old here?' Mia thought to herself.

She sighed and agreed to let her sit near her. The girl smiled heartily and quickly took her place.

"Hi, I'm Sofia Dwell." The girl said.

"Hi, I am Mia Smith" Mia replied.

Soon Jasmine also joined both of them. They three talked and soon became friends. Mia was an introvert but she was really interested in both of them. Jasmine was gentle and humble and understanding while Sofia was cheerful and a little childish.

They spent their lunchtime mostly chit-chatting and getting to know each other. Soon the time was over. "Ok then, it's almost time, let's go back to our classes" said Jasmine. "Yeah" agreed Mia and they all went to their respective classes.

As Mia was walking, she bumped with someone. "Ahh!! It hurts", she complained while trying to get up from the floor. "Are you okay? " The man standing in front of her asked. He was tall and handsome. He had shining light brown hair. He almost looked like a Prince.

He reached out his hand to her and helped her to get up. "Be careful while walking " he said and left without taking a glance at her. Mia was mesmerized by him. "Are you ok Mia? " asked Sofia who was running towards her. "Yeah, I'm fine. My foot just hurt a little but it's not that painful." Mia said while caressing her foot.

"Wow Mia, you're lucky. He just talked to you right now " said Jasmine excitedly.

"Who was he? " asked Mia.

"Don't you know? He is Ryan Williams, the son of the Chief General, Sebastian Williams. His father is a top-class soldier and he is his only son. His father is even in charge of securing the world's most precious gem, the Red Diamond."

"It sounds too cool right? " said Sofia. "Red Diamond? The one which is the most expensive diamond in the world? Many rich politicians and businessmen have their eyes on it " replied Mia. "Yeah. But let's forget about it. It has nothing to do with us" said Jasmine in a scoffing tone. She grabbed Mia's hand and dragged her to their class.

It was dismissal time. Everyone packed their bags and hurried to their home. Mia was left alone since her house was a bit far and there was no one who could accompany her. But she was used to this loneliness because she barely made any friends.

On her way, she was thinking about the conversation she had with Sofia.

"The Red Diamond, the most precious diamond which is desired by everyone. What if it gets stolen?..."

As she was walking on the road, one her way she saw some people gossiping about something near a retail store. She decided to take a rest for a few minutes. She sat near a bench and started drinking her milkshake which she bought earlier. She was able to hear their conversation clearly.

"Hey do you know, the famous XX bank was robbed last night", someone said.

"Yeah, I saw it in the news." Another one replied.

"Nowadays, there are so many cases of robbery and theft. It is not even safe to live freely now."

" Hmm, you're right. We must be careful and alert even when we're walking in the streets. Who knows, what may happen next."

"Do you know, I have heard that the robber was none other than the most wanted thief- SHADOW. "

"Yeah, I've also heard some rumours about it."

"SHADOW ? Hey, wasn't he the one who stole the world's second most precious diamond, 'The Blue Diamond'?!"

"Yeah, I've even heard that no one has seen him till now."

"If no one has seen him, how can they tell that he is a man or a woman?"

"I think he is not a human only. He must be an alien or has some magical powers or something."

Mia was listening to their gossip and was laughing inside. She thought ' Haha! Alien? Like seriously? Nowadays people are watching so many dramas. What will an alien do with so much money and gems? Ugh! But one thing is correct, SHADOW is really a 'Genius'.

She found their gossip funny and left from there. After returning to her house, she changed her dress in comfy wear. She tied her hair back and started to cook her lunch.

After having her lunch, she went to her room and started to make her assignments. It was almost evening, she finished making her assignments and stretched her hand and yawned.

She took out her laptop and searched for something.

"Hmm... got it" She let out a playful smirk and started reading the information shown on her screen.

'Ryan Williams, son of Sebastian Williams. Age \= 21 years. Zodiac \= Pisces. Hair/eye colour \= brown. He is cold, kind, caring and doesn't like to talk to anybody. He won many prizes and certificates and is the top student of the country. His mother died when he was young. His father is rumoured to have many affairs with womens. After his mother's death, he became quiet and cold.

His father is the Chief General of the country who is assigned the duty to protect the Red Diamond, the most valuable, expensive and precious item of the world. It is the property of the government now. The one having The Red Diamond, has the power to control the whole Underworld, that's why most of the rich businessmen and political leaders have their eyes on it. It is now kept in a well secured chamber which can be opened by only Sebastian Williams and the President.'

"Hmm... Interesting. So he is the mysterious son of Sebastian Williams who never showed himself to others! He's quite mysterious… but charming. " A blush formed in her face unknowingly.

She closed her laptop and ate some Ramen and slept. In the morning, she woke up and did her morning routine. She wore a loose, pink colored, round neck top with a long circular flounce sleeve, and light blue jeans to go with it. She ate a veg sandwich with some juice and went to college.

When she arrived, she found the college bustling. She was confused so she looked for her friends to know why there was such a commotion. She found them sitting in a corner of the campus with a sad face.

She ran towards them and asked them what happened. "Oh Mia, you're here" Jasmine asked. "Yeah, but what happened to you two and why is the college looking very panicked? When I came here I heard many of them gossiping and all were in a hurry," said Mia while taking a seat next to them.

"Didn't you hear the news, " asked Sofia. "News? Which news?" Mia asked with confusion. She didn't have any idea what they were talking about. "Actually Mia, due to the robbery that occurred in the XX bank, it caused a huge damage to the country. The Chief General, father of Ryan, was blamed for it. As the police were not able to catch the thief, the government gave a warning to the General, " told Jasmine.

"Yeah. And now, the case of SHADOW is transferred to another General. His name is Steven Hans. He is a top-class detective of our country. Till now, there was not even a single case which he couldn't solve. Impressive right? " Sofia said with a smile but that smile soon faded away.

"But now due to the General, Ryan is being criticized by some citizens," she said with a sad face.

"Oh! But don't worry, I don't think he's someone who can be bullied easily. Let's not worry about that. We have to focus on our studies right." Mia convinced them and they both nodded in agreement.

A mysterious person, hiding near the pillars, was listening to their conversation carefully. ''Steven Hans? Hmm… looks like I got a new opponent" He said and an evil smirk formed on his face. He quickly escaped from there without being noticed by anyone.

After their conversation, they went to their class. On their way, they saw some boys bullying someone. "Agh, not again", Sofia whined. "Ignore it. We better don't get involved", said Jasmine.

"But why are they bullying him? I heard that Downhill University was one of the most prestigious universities ever. How can it have this type of students who don't respect each other?!" complained Mia. "Hmph, that's all lie. Even if our University is admired by the whole world, only we know it's reality", Jasmine said.

"Can you see the boy with red hair?" She pointed towards the boy who looked like the leader of the bullies. "He is Charles Reed. His father is a rich businessman and a gang leader. He used to be our idol before but after becoming famous, he became arrogant and cruel. Just like a devil. Even though he's smart and rich, he's personality is the worst. He started to bully others and soon became the biggest bully of college. " Jasmine whispered to them so that they won't be noticed by those bullies.

"Even if we are as rich and equal as him, no one dared to complain about him. That's why it's better for us to not get involved in it." sighed Jasmine.

"That's not all, he is even a big playboy and had a relationship with many girls. He's even rumoured to be a criminal. If he wants then he can vanish anyone from the face of Earth. He's really powerful." Sofia said with a fright. "Oh, so he's someone we can't mess up with." Mia said as a slight smirk came on her face which was unnoticed by the girls.

They shrugged off their thoughts and started walking ahead ignoring the scene which was happening near them. As they were passing, Mia took a glance on all of them and smiled.

`` These kids need to be taught a lesson.' She thought.

After her classes, Mia was tired so she went to the library. The place was quiet and there were not many students. She sat on a bench which was in the corner. It was just the way she wanted. Quite and peaceful, away from all the troubles. She slowly felt sleepy after reading the book. She didn't realize when her eyes closed and she slept keeping her head on the table.

Suddenly, she woke up from her sleep gasping deeply. She was breathing heavily and soon tears formed on her eyes. "Mom, Dad! Why did you guys leave me? Why?" She was sobbing quietly hiding her face so that no one could notice her. She then wiped her face. Anger and vengeance was now filled in her heart. Her eyes were bloodshot red and she had a dark aura.

'I promise, I won't spare the one who ruined our family. I won't let him enjoy his life making us suffer. I will make him pay for what he did to us. " She then took her book and left from there.

When she was going home, she saw Ryan sitting alone near the seashore on her way. He looked sad. Mia thought of going near him but left. 'I'm not that close to him. I shouldn't bother myself with his business. But why was he sad? Is it because of her father?' She sighed and shrugged off her thoughts. ' I shouldn't think about it now. I have another thing to take care of first.'

After arriving home, she washed her face, changed her clothes, cooked food and made her assignments like always. She then turned on the TV and watched some news.

Reporter : According to the sources, the thief of XX bank was confirmed to be Shadow. But still no one is able to find a single trace of him. Who is he? Where is he? And what does he want?

According to the police, he is said to be a spy from another country who wants to harm our country. Many say that he wants to capture and rule the whole world. There are also rumours about him having supernatural powers which helps him to be invisible… bla bla bla...

Mia switches off her TV and chuckles. "Still the old news! These reporters have become dumb nowadays. Tch, looks like they need some new topic to discuss. Hmm... "

Mia opened her laptop and started working on it.

"Post and done! She smirked and completed her work. "Agh! so tiresome. It will be fun going to the university tomorrow. Ha Ha Ha " She chuckled and closed her laptop.

She went towards her bedroom and flopped on the bed. Soon she drifted off to sleep.

When she woke up in the morning, she saw many messages from her friends, Jasmine and Sofia. But she ignored it as she knew this was gonna happen. She went to her washroom, did her morning routine and wore a denim jacket over a basic white T-shirt with black jeans.

She went to her kitchen and cooked a grilled cheese sandwich and ate it with some ketchup. She then took her bag and phone and left for college.

On the way she thought 'Let's see the drama now…'
