DREAM

What is the dream mean?

Every time you ask a person what is a dream, there will be a different answer to the same question.

One will say the dream is something I cannot achieve, others will say with smile on their lips to that the dream is something they are living.

I also have heard many times that everyone has a dream.

But from where I come the girl should not dream, her only dream should be to take good care of her family.

I was from that type of society, but I want to live my life my way.

I will do anything in my power to dream what where I want and to fulfill them.

Hii everyone I am sapna (name in Hindi it means dream).

This all thought come into my mind every time I have to go to sleep.

I have a very loving mom and I love her very much and a responsible dad, I also love him very much.

I live with my mom, dad, uncle, aunty and my big sister. We have a joint family.

My mom and aunty is housewife and my dad and uncle is government worker. I have big sister, I also love her all.

When I was little my big sister has a dream of becoming a pilot but because of our family mentality she was not had any one support, and she had to drop all her dream and have to get married to a man she didn't even known who he was and what was he being doing to make a living. Now she is mother of 2 baby and also a housewife like my mom. It's not like that she didn't try to achieve her dream, but the time was different and now was my turn to dream something.

My dream is travel whole world and become a writer who write the beauty of world in word and bring them to every one with joy. The people will see what I have seen through my writhing. And I will make sure to complete my dream. And also I am not alone in this dream, my big sis is with me to support me in my life. And tomorrow is a big day when I will tell my dream to all my family and take a first step toward my dream.

So sleep well sapna you have to wake up tomorrow right.

When I open I eye in morning it was 8 o'clock "ooohhhh"

" I am late for college why did you not wake me up mom" I am shouting like crazy the breakfast was on table when I come out of my room and start eating my breakfast "mom at what time dad and uncle will be at home"

she replied, "at 8 o'clock"

"ok"

"I have something to tell you all, so I will come home early from my class and from tomorrow my summer vacation is going to start"

"ok dear bye, come home early"

"bye mom"

When I reach college I don't know what happened, but time was moving so fast, and before I knew I have already reach home. My heart was beating so fast that I can hear my heartbeat. I open the door, what see is my father chatting with my uncle.

I was searching for my big sis before discuss this topic with my dad and uncle. And there she is standing in the corner blankly staring in air I approach her slowly and sing her with my eye that we should go and tell father about my dream, but something is wrong she is acting like differently and staring at me blankly when I was going to say something to her my word were interpreted my father word

story 1 part 2

The next morning came as it always does, and nothing seemed to change at first. The sunlight streamed through the window, birds chirped, and noises from the kitchen remained the same, as if last night never happened. But I knew that last night was not a dream; everything was real. I didn’t get a blink of sleep after hearing what my dad said.

Now, what should I do? I don't know anything. Is this really happening to me? Is there no way out of this? I want to travel the world, but under what conditions will I be able to do that?

Lost in my thoughts, a loud noise woke me up. “Sapna, come eat, breakfast is ready.” I really didn’t have an appetite. What should I do? Should I go or not? But I have to talk to them. At least I can try.

After taking a shower, I went down to eat breakfast and talk to my family. I asked Mom, who was sitting at the dining table, “Where is Father?” She said he had gone to work early. After some time, I asked her again, “Is everything true about my marriage?”

She paused for a second and then said, “It is true, Sapna.”

After hearing those words, I started crying and couldn’t stop. There didn’t seem to be an end in sight. I wanted to be happy. I told my mom about the dreams I had, the things I wanted to do, and everything I wanted to achieve in life. Furthermore, I said, “I will marry any guy you choose, but now is not the time for me to marry. I want to fulfill my dreams first, and then I will marry anyone you want. All I need now is time and support from my family.”

I don’t know how much she understood, but Mom didn’t say anything. I was a little disappointed, but I loved her so much. As I was going to my room, my big sister was listening to my conversation with Mom. She didn’t say anything, and I didn’t expect any response from her; she had gone through this years ago, and now it’s my turn to face them. I couldn’t help but resent her for not supporting me. We just stared at each other for some time, and then I went back to my room. I didn’t come out until it was time for Dad to come home.

I was nervous at the dining table when we sat across from each other. My father said, “Have you thought about what I said last night?”

I felt like a thousand needles were poking my body, and I couldn’t scream. If I screamed, then it would be game over. I said, “I don’t want to marry anyone now. I have so many things I want to do. I want to become a writer and write a book about the things I have seen. I want to travel the world, and after that, I will marry anyone you ask me to, but not now.”

I finally said it. I felt so relieved, like a heavy weight had been lifted from my chest, but I didn’t receive any response. After an awkward silence, my father said, “Well, he is a very good guy, and he will help you achieve your dreams. Just marry now and fulfill your dreams afterward at your husband’s home.”

I stood there, not knowing what to say. I was very patient, but at that moment, I said what I wanted to say most of the time. “Just like you said that to my big sister, and now she is just a housewife with nothing but two kids and a husband. I don’t want a life like that. You knew she was good at studying and wanted to become a pilot, but you didn’t support her. You married her to a man she didn’t know, and now her life is nothing but a means to fulfill her husband’s dreams. I know she loves him now, but he can’t help her fulfill her dream, and I am not going to marry anyone.”

After saying that, I ran towards my room. My father was very angry, I know that. My sister was staring blankly at me but said nothing. I could hear noises from the kitchen; my mom was trying to calm down my father. But then I heard the faint voice of my sister. She said to Dad, “Don’t force her into a marriage she doesn’t want, like you did with me. At that time, your happiness was my biggest dream, but not now, Dad, not this time. If Sapna wants to become a writer, then she will become one, and I am supporting her.”

After listening to this, I was so happy that she was on my side. I felt like I was on cloud nine, and just like that, I fell asleep.

story 1 part 3

The house was eerily silent, as if no one lived there. We couldn't even hear the usual noises from the kitchen. As the day went on, and in the blink of an eye, two days had passed. I didn't come out of my room, and no one came to call me for dinner or breakfast. I think Dad had told them not to call me.

I lay in bed, thinking about everything that had happened and considering my next step.

Suddenly, I heard a knock on my door. I opened it to see my big sister standing there. I signaled her to come in with my eyes. She entered and stood still, not saying anything for a few minutes. I could see the tension on her face, as if she was struggling to say something. After a long battle with herself, she finally started talking.

"Sapna, tomorrow the man and his family are coming to see you."

Hearing this, I was stunned. I couldn’t think of anything. Tears started to roll down my cheeks, and I just cried and cried, not knowing what to do. Then my sister said to me, "Sapna, are you really passionate about your dream? Can you do anything for this dream? Can you?"

I stared at her and, without thinking, said, "Yes, I can."

My sister smiled at me very softly and then said, "Sapna, you should run away from home. I can support you, and Mom is also on our side. This is the only option I can think of because Father is not listening to any of us. You should run away and make your dream come true. Please, just run away."

I said to her, "Okay, I will run away from home, but what about Father's reputation? And what will happen to you and Mom?"

"Don't think about any of that," she said. "I can handle things here. You should just focus on what you want to achieve. And remember one thing: we are all family, and everyone loves you, including Father. He can be strict and sometimes selfish, but he still loves you and me more than we can imagine. So after you fulfill your dream, please come back home. Everyone will be waiting for you."

With her words, I made the decision to run away from home with the support of my sister and mom.

The following day, I packed a small bag with essentials, my heart pounding with every item I added. My sister helped me, her hands trembling as she handed me clothes and other necessities. "You have to leave tonight," she whispered. "It's the only way."

As the sun set, the tension in the house grew. My mother came to my room, her eyes filled with tears but her voice steady. "Sapna, we believe in you. Follow your dreams and don’t look back. We will handle things here."

I hugged her tightly, feeling her warmth and strength. "Thank you, Mom. I promise I'll make you proud and come back as soon as I achieve my goals."

Under the cover of darkness, my sister led me to the back door. "Go to the bus station," she instructed. "I've bought a ticket for you. It will take you to the city where you can start fresh."

I nodded, my heart heavy but determined. "Thank you for everything," I whispered, tears streaming down my face. "I love you."

"I love you too," she replied, her voice breaking. "Now go."

I stepped out into the night, the cool air hitting my face as I walked away from the only home I had ever known. My mind was a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions, but the determination to follow my dreams kept me moving forward.

The bus station was quiet, a stark contrast to the turmoil in my heart. I boarded the bus, clutching my bag tightly. As the bus pulled away, I looked out the window at the darkened streets, a mixture of fear and excitement coursing through me.

This was the beginning of my journey, a chance to chase my dreams and prove to myself and my family that I could achieve what I set out to do. Despite the uncertainty and the challenges ahead, I knew that I was not alone. The love and support of my family would always be with me, guiding me towards a brighter future.

As the city lights faded into the distance, I closed my eyes and whispered to myself, "This is for you, Mom, and for you, Sis. I won't let you down." And with that, I embraced the unknown, ready to face whatever came my way.
