Son of Apollo
Camp Serus was a rather spectacular place. Hidden in the deep mountains of Colorado and surrounded by hundreds of acres of forest, the mortals were unaware of the vast events that took place.
Home of the demigods of the Gods and Goddesses that ruled Olympus, it was secured by magic so no mortal could even enter.
The demigods lived amongst each other learning of their heritage and going to school like any college age kid would. They had classes and lectures and degrees to earn just like any other college. Each earning a degree in the field of their choice that they would use once they graduated. After graduation they were sent back to the normal life of living in the mortal realm, learning to blend in and help when needed.
They could choose a field of study but each year they all were required to take a training course. The training was to prepare them for quests as at any moment they could be picked for one. Many creatures and evil things like to disrupt the natural flow of the mortal realm. So the demigods were in-charge of keeping balance. Mostly because the Gods and Goddesses were too lazy, and they may have been forbidden to ever walk in the mortal realm again.
So that’s where our story starts.
Kim Taehyung, son of Apollo was sitting peacefully at one of the picnic tables outside the Apollo cabins.
Each God and Goddess had a set of cabins, the demigods each with their own cabin. Hades had the least amount of cabins, while Zues had many.
The cabin sections were pretty close to each other, and all led into a common ground where the demigods could chill and relax or do activities. It was almost like a huge college campus.
Each cabin was equipped with a bedroom, living area, bathroom and a small kitchen.
He was studying for his Anatomy and Physiology exam that was coming up in the next week. He’d always been the one to be studying while everyone else was enjoying their free time. Maybe it stemmed from being a child of Apollo and craving for knowledge.
He was interrupted from his studying when a football was pelted at his head knocking his reading glasses off.
Kim Taehyung / Son of Apollo
Ow what the actual f*ck (holding onto his head in pain as he looked for the person who threw it).
Que Jeon Jungkook, son of Hades and all his dark glory sauntering over with a smirk on his face.
Jeon Jungkook / Son of Hades
Sorry Kim, guess I don’t have as good of aim as I thought. (Stopping in front of where Taehyung was sitting).
Taehyung picked his glasses up off the ground cleaning them off with his shirt before setting them down.
Kim Taehyung / Son of Apollo
(Scoffing) I think you have better aim then you give yourself credit for Jeon. I’m sure you hit exactly what you were aiming for.
The rest of Jungkook’s group had made it over to the table all looking at Taehyung with guilty expressions. You see, Taehyung was friends with all of Jungkook’s friends. They were actually all pretty close. Jungkook just really likes to agitate Taehyung, and the two just never seemed to get along.
Kim Namjoon / Son of Zeus
He’s sorry Taehyung. (Scolding Jungkook).
Jeon Jungkook / Son of Hades
Don’t speak for me Joon. If I was sorry I’d say it.

Oh, so it was on purpose? (Cocking his head).

No it was an accident, sorry your head seemed to be what my ball hit Kim.
Taehyung rolled his eyes at the lame ‘apology’ Jungkook produced. Could he even really it call it that? But honestly he didn’t expect much more from the son of Hades. If anyone lived up to his father’s name, it was Jungkook.
Park Hyung Sik / Son of Hades
Apologize sincerely Kook. (Scolding his younger brother).
Jeon Jungkook / Son of Hades
(Sighing heavily like it was the last thing he’d ever want to do). Sorry Kim, I’ll try my best not to hit you again. (Turning to his brother). Happy?
Park Jimin / Son of Aphrodite
Wow I’m sure that must have been so hard for you. (Sarcastically)
Jeon Jungkook / Son of Hades
Mhmmm it most definitely was pretty. (Winking at the boy).
Jimin rolled his eyes at the boy, but a small blush appears at the boys words.
Kim Taehyung / Son of Apollo
Please refrain from flirting with my friend, and go back to your game and quit bothering us.
Taehyung will not, would never, admit that some tiny little part of him felt a little weird at Jungkook calling Jimin pretty.
Jeon Jungkook / Son of Hades
(Leaning his hand on the table to make himself eyes level with Taehyung). Hmm I don’t know Kim, I think you secretly like me bothering you.
Park Bogum / Son of Ares
Taehyung!
A voice from their left caused the groups to look over as Park Bogum, son of Ares, and Taehyung’s crush came rushing over to them. Taehyung may have missed the way Jungkook had tensed up a little, and a scowl appeared on his face, but the rest of the group had not.
The son of Hades quickly schooled his expression back to a teasing smirk before Taehyung could notice.

Ahhh and I’m comes the Knight in Shinning Armor.
A blush crept onto Taehyung’s face. He knew he wasn’t the best at hiding his crush, but the fact that Jeon Jungkook knew, well that didn’t look bright for him.
Kim Taehyung / Son of Apollo
Bogum, what’s the rush?
Bogum made it to their table perfectly breathing might he add seeing that he just ran all the way here from the training grounds. But being a son of Ares provided him with great stamina.
The group all looked at him waiting for his response.
Park Bogum / Son of Ares
Oh sorry it’s nothing urgent. Wang Yibo just sent me to fetch you. He said he has a task for you before we start training for the day. Something he needs help with.
Kim Taehyung / Son of Apollo
Oh okay, I’ll go and meet him now.
Taehyung packed his stuff up glancing once more at Jungkook seeing the boy looking at him curiously before he turned back to Bogum.
Kim Taehyung / Son of Apollo
Will you be joining me?
Park Bogum / Son of Ares
Of course, let’s head down.
Taehyung bid his brothers and friends good bye before walking along the way Bogum had come. He heard the faint sound of the boys starting up their football game again as he left.
The Crush

Was Jeon giving you trouble again?
Kim Taehyung / Son of Apollo
Nothing I can’t handle. He’s just so cocky and annoying. I don’t know how he and Hyung Sik are so a like but also so different.
Park Bogum / Son of Ares
Probably something to do with the fact that Jeon is the next heir even though Hyung Sik is older. But Jeon is the one with the element so I guess it’s probably gone to his head.
Kim Taehyung / Son of Apollo
I guess, but Namjoon, Jin, Hoseok, Yoongi, Jimin, and I also hold the element and we’re not as bad as him.
Park Bogum / Son of Ares
Namjoon has his moments, so does Yoongi, probably because they are children of the big three. You know Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades had the biggest egos. They probably passed it down to some of their children. (Chuckling softly).
Kim Taehyung / Son of Apollo
(Smiling) Mmm you’re right, Namjoon and Yoongi do have their moments, but nothing like Jungkook. (Laughing softly).

Did Wang Yibo say what he needed help with?
Park Bogum / Son of Ares
No, just that he needed you. I’m not sure what him and Xiao Zhan have concocted up for us this time.

Knowing them they probably need me incase someone gets hurt.
Standing in the middle next to what seemed to be 9 large boards each consisting of a 10 x 5 board and a bunch of random letters was Wang Yibo. In front of him were two rather large cardboard boxes.

Taehyung, my boy come here! (Gesturing at Taehyung).
Taehyung slowly made his way over to Wang Yibo, cautioning his steps not knowing what the camp head wanted. It was always something when it came to Wang Yibo and Xiao Zhan, you never really knew what they were going to ask of you.
Kim Taehyung / Son of Apollo
What do you have in store for us today Yibo? (Eyeing the boxes).

(Smirking) Oh you will see.
Kim Taehyung / Son of Apollo
So what did you need from me?
Wang Yibo slowly opened one of the cardboard boxes and brought out a bright looking yellow jersey. Taehyung couldn’t make out what it said on the back.
Wang Yibo
(Tossing the jersey to Taehyung). Put that on, I want too see how it fits, I had to get one-size fits all and you’re pretty average compared to the rest.
Taehyung didn’t know if the statement was meant to be offensive or not. He looked down at the jersey in his hands noting the name ‘Apollo’ written in all caps and a number 01 under it.
He put the jersey on it being a little big for his figure but still being an okay fit.
Wang Yibo
(Clapping his hands excitedly). Prefect, it’s a little big on you which means it’ll still fit my Ares’ team.
Kim Taehyung / Son of Apollo
Did you really only ask me here just to try this on? You know I was studying.
Wang Yibo
(Rolling his eyes). Of course not, I need you and Bogum to go pass the rest of these out to their respective teams. Then tell each team they need to designate 5 people to play seeing as Hades didn’t produce enough children and there are only 5 of them.
Park Bogum / Son of Ares
Why didn’t you pass them out yourself instead of making Taehyung and I come all the way over here?
Wang Yibo
Listen you ungrateful children. I just gave you a huge hint in todays training seminar. You always know the team that wins gets to choose the sparring partners. I gave you a leg up in the game knowing what to expect.
Everyday Wang Yibo or Xiao Zhan would create training team seminars for then to participate in. They were to test their skills in working as a team, but also agility, knowledge, strength, and stamina. All things a demigod needed in order to succeed in quests and keeping the mortal realm balanced.
Winning the team seminars granted that house the opportunity to pick sparring partners for the afternoon training session where hand-to-hand combat was learned. Points were earned to the person who won in a sparring match. The demigod at the end of the week with the most points was allowed a weekend to go to whatever he/she wanted out in the mortal realm. It was almost like a vacation.
Being stuck in one place wasn’t terrible, especially Serus. But sometimes it was nice to just have a relaxing time on their own.

Taehyung went to grab the box but Bogum was faster then him.
Park Bogum / Son of Ares
I got it, you can be the one to hand them out.
Taehyung’s heart did a little jump. Bogum was so nice. He wanted to help Taehyung whenever he could. No wonder the son of Apollo developed a crush.
Wang Yibo
I’ll see you all at 11 sharp, don’t be late.
With that said Taehyung and Bogum headed back to the cabins to find the rest of the demigods.

So, do you think it will all be puzzles?
Kim Taehyung / Son of Apollo
No, that's too easy for Wang Yibo, he definitely has a catch. He had two boxes, we only took one. So who knows what’s in the other one.
Taehyung knew to never underestimate the mind of Want Yibo or Xiao Zhan.
They made it back to the cabins everyone pretty much doing the exact same thing they had been doing before they both left. Taehyung went over to his friends still sat at the picnic table.
Jeon Jungkook / Son of Hades
Oi Kim! Why are you dressed like big bird? (Yelling over at Taehyung when he spotted the boy come back).
Park Hyung Sik / Son of Hades
Kook, leave him be.
Kim Taehyung / Son of Apollo
(Turning to face Jungkook). Don’t be so cocky Jeon, you haven’t seen yours yet.
Taehyung riffled through the jerseys trying to find the ones with ‘Hades’ written on it. He heard the rest of the people around coming over to see what he had.
He found a bright magenta one, but that just had ‘Athena’ written on it. He threw it to Jin who immediately put it on.

Well don’t I just look like the prettiest demigod you’ve ever seen. (Twirling around).
Taehyung found the Hades’ one, of course it was just black, the lucky bastards. He threw it at Jungkook who smirked at him.
Jeon Jungkook / Son of Hades
Mmmm I’d say mine’s not so bad. You look great in yellow Kim, matches your aura.
No one said anything a little taken aback by Jungkook’s words. Had said boy just complimented him? Saying that he looks nice and that he had a bright aura.
Jeon Jungkook / Son of Hades
(Clearing his throat noticing him mistake). I mean you look like a freaking beacon Kim, it’s blinding.
Choosing to ignore him he passed out the rest of the jersey’s.
Kim Taehyung / Son of Apollo
Wang Yibo said create a team of 5 and all be at the training grounds at 11.
Everyone began discussing who would be on their team and Taehyung went over to stand with the rest of his brothers and sisters.
They were already in a pretty heated discussion.
Son of Apollo
Taehyung’s already got the jersey on so Wang Yibo obviously wants him to be a part of it. Taehyung, did you get any insight into what we’re doing?

The first thing I saw was a puzzle, so I’m guessing some puzzles, but you know Wang Yibo, it’s never that easy.
Park Seo Joon / Son of Apollo
I say we do 3 boys and 2 girls. I volunteer as tribute.
Kim Taehyung / Son of Apollo
(Rolling his eyes at his brother). Thank you for volunteering but you already knew you’d be participating anyway you’re the brute of the Apollo children.
Daughter of Apollo 2
I can join. I’m pretty good at puzzles!
Taehyung nodded and passed her a jersey. It swamped the blonde haired daughter of Apollo but she seemed to like it that way.
Kim Taehyung / Son of Apollo
Okay we need two more then. There’s only 10 of us so it shouldn’t be too hard to decide.
Daughter of Apollo
I can join too. I’m one of the more agile of us so it could come in handy.
Taehyung handed her a jersey. He took the last one and handed it to Felix.
Kim Taehyung / Son of Apollo
You’re really smart Felix, we’ll need you today especially if it’s puzzles.
Felix was studying law, and Taehyung new that would come handy. Often times Lawyers had to think outside of the box.
Their team was made and Taehyung looked around too see that all the other groups had picked their teams too. They looked like a sea of Teletubbies with their bright colors.
Taehyung glanced over at the Ares group seeing Bogum with a bright red jersey on. His heart fluttered a little bit, the boy looking so good in red, it suited him.
As if sensing the son of Apollo’s eyes on him Bogum turned giving him a small smile. A light blush dusted over Taehyung’s face at having been caught.

Have you told him yet about your little crush. (Teasing his younger brother).
Taehyung whipped his head to his brother glaring at him.
Kim Taehyung / Son of Apollo
Don’t say that too loud!

(Rolling his eyes). Tae everyone knows you got a crush on him, I’m sure Bogum knows you have a crush on him.
Kim Taehyung / Son of Apollo
(Feeling embarrassed). But what if he doesn’t feel the same way. I don’t want to ruin our friendship.

Let the Games Begin Part 1
Taking his older brothers words and thinking of them they headed down to the training grounds. Taehyung wasn’t going to do anything about his feelings right now. And he probably wouldn’t do anything about them later either.
Taehyung’s eyes looked in front of him as they walked the 5 Hades men joking around with each other. Taehyung looked to the middle seeing Jungkook, the number 1 jersey dawning his body. His tattooed arm was on full show with just the tank top on. Taehyung’s heart quickened as it traced the lines of the tattoos with his eyes. He was always curious what the symbols, lines, and images meant to the other.
Lee Felix / Son of Apollo
You’re staring. (Quietly)
Taehyung shook his head turning his eyes away from the Underworld heir and looked to Felix. He was looking at him curiously, not judging.
Kim Taehyung / Son of Apollo
Mmmm was I? Must have zoned out. (Trying to play it off).
Felix didn’t say anything but a small smile formed on his lips. Taehyung brought his eyes back to the front, them automatically going to the Jeon. If he wasn’t such a cocky asshole he’d be really attractive.
Taehyung would never say the man wasn’t attractive to the eye, but his personality really tainted that.
They all made it to the training ground each team standing together.

Glad you all could make it, and on time this time. (His eyes going to the Hades team).

They all turned to see the other Camp head strolling down to them. Wang Yibo rolling his eyes at his partner.

Taehyung couldn’t hold his eye roll in at the boat ant flirting. Everyone flirted with Jungkook, and everyone had a crush on Jungkook. Taehyung just didn’t see the appeal.
As if he’d been watching Taehyung’s eye roll the Jeon spoke to him.

Alright kids, let’s stop the chit-chat. Wouldn’t you all like to know what you’ll be doing today?
They all turned back to Wang Yibo seeing him walk over to the box that Taehyung had seen before. He opened the box pulling out a long rope with circles attached to it.

(Ignoring Jin) You’ll all be tied together. There are 4 puzzles and 3 obstacles to get to said puzzles. The first puzzle is in front of you. The last puzzle will unlock your team flag. The first team back will win.
He started passing out the rope to each team. Taehyung stepped into the harness pulling it up to his waist and tightening it to fit. They put Seojoon in front as he’d be the best to help them get through the obstacles and Taehyung in the back, and Felix in the middle with the girls on either side of him.
They all lined up at their first puzzle.
Xiao Zhan
Scrambling, they started looking at the puzzle. It was a 10 x 5 board filled with letters that seemed to spell something out. Each row was distinguished so you knew those letters went with that row.

It’s probably a saying. Is there anything that Wang Yibo or Xiao Zhan say a lot?

“Let me put you through and he’ll and back and laugh while I enjoy myself.”
Everyone laughed at Seojoon him not being wrong.

Okay let’s start with the first row and go down. What words do you guys see?
Taehyung looked over to the other groups. Some where like them having not even touched the puzzle yet, while some where already moving their pieces around. To Taehyung it looked as though the Athena team was moving pieces around with intent so it seemed they may have already figured it out. Of course the team who was currently in the lead was the one with Jin on it. He also held an element, he had the power of knowledge. He’d look at something and would know the answer instantly. Seemed kinda like cheating in a scenario like this.

(Walking up to the puzzle). I got it.
They watched as Felix moved the pieces around and spelled out ‘LEAN ON THOSE’.

Aye yay to go Lix! Do you know the second part?
Daughter of Apollo 2
Oh wait I see ‘who lean on’!
Felix moved the letters to spell out what she suggested. Now the board read ‘LEAN ON THOSE WHO LEAN ON’.
As they finished the first two rows the Athena team was taking off having finished the puzzle.
They knew they would have to work fast. Wang Yibo and Xiao Zhan never forbid anyone with an element to use said element. It was gift and should always be used if it help.
Taehyung turned back to the bored looking at the 3rd row. He found the letter PANDELYUOH.

It’s ‘you and help’!
Felix moved the letters and then also spelled out ‘YOU SUCCEED’. They had the last row left. The Hades team went and left having finished as did Artemis and Hermes teams.
Seojoon took the last few and out spelled out ‘IN YOUR LIFE’.

Check! (Yelling for Wang Yibo or Xiao Zhan).

Correct, you may move on.
They messed up the puzzle like everyone else before them not wanting to give any of the other teams a chance to look. They hurried along finding it a little difficult to be tied together.
They traveled through the woods coming across a large wall. The rest of the teams were there still all trying to get over. It looked as though Hades was in the lead Jungkook already on top of the wall pulling the rest of the team up.
Park Seo Joon / Son of Apollo
Okay I’m the strongest so I’ll stay on the bottom to help life you guys up. Taehyung you go first so you can help pull us up like Jeon’s doing.
Taehyung went to the wall and was helped hoisted up by Seojoon. He sat on the wall right next to Jungkook, some of the other teams on either side of them.

(Pulling up his last member). Nice of you to join Kim. Don’t fall.
Taehyung watched as Jungkook jumped down from the wall landing on his two feet like it didn’t phase him.
Daughter of Apollo
Taehyung! A little help!
Taehyung turned back to his team helping the girl up. Once up the went down in opposite order. Seojoon first followed by Felix and the girls. Taehyung jumped down Seojoon helping his fall. He wasn’t nearly as agile as the rest.
They made it through the first obstacle and headed to the next puzzle. Team Hades and Athena were other there trying to solve it. Of course Athena was already figuring it out.

I am, let me try.
The girl started filling in numbers one by one and it all seemed to be flowing nicely. The Athena team left going deeper into the woods. Hermes and Ares showed up a little after.

Great job, move along.
Taehyung looked over at the Hades team the Underworld heir already looking at him. Jungkook sent Taehyung a wink before leading his team on. Hyung Sik rolling his eyes at the younger boy.

I’m done, check!
Xiao Zhan
Looks good, you can move on.
They moved along Seojoon leading them. The next obstacle was a zig-zagged beam.
