It is a magic portal made by the Forest god and fairies that will take you to your dreams and it was given to the Japanese people for their help, it is also protected by the Japanese people from evil hands, but this portal has a dangerous truth behind it.

(Which you will get to know in the story)

SKY VESPERTINE SMITH:-                                                                                                                   

Sky is the protagonist of the story she is an Asian American, her present age is 17, she was born in Florida (USA), belongs to a middle-class family, and lives with her father and her younger brother Alex after her mother died when Sky was young. She is very smart and beautiful. She loves music, arts, reading books, and discovering new things.

JONAS LEE:-                                                                                                                                           

Jonas is the main male character of the story, he is an American, his present age is 18, and he was born in California (USA), belongs to a rich family, and lives with his father, mother, and younger sister Olivia. He is very handsome, cool, and caring. He loves Astronomy, Space-related things,  Photography, and nature.

STEVE KELLER:-                                                                                                                                     

Steve is the second main male character of the story, he is an American, his present age is 18, and he was born in California (USA), belongs to a rich family, his family is Jonas's family's friends and business partners. He is very handsome and you can get bad guy vibes from him. He loves sports and traveling.

SKY'S FAMILY:

EUNG SHIN (Mother):-    

She is an Asian, she was born in Japan, and she later worked in California as a waiter in a cafe,  She died at a very young age (cause of death and details in the following book)

EDWARD SMITH (Father):-                                                                                                                   

He is an American, he was born in Florida (USA), and he works as a part-timer at a local supermarket.

ALEX SMITH (Brother):-                                                                                                                       

He is an Asian American, he was born in

Florida (USA), His present age is 13, he goes to a public school in Florida and studied in 8th grade.

AKARI SHIN (Sky's grandmother):- She is Japanese, and she lives in an old small town in Japan.

JONAS'S FAMILY:

JAMES LEE (Father):-                                                                                                                             

He is an American, he was born in California (USA), he is a very rich businessman, He is the CEO of the LEE DIAMONDS company.

CHARLOTTE LEE (Mother):-                                                                                                                   

She is an American, she was born in New York (USA), She is also a businesswoman, She is the Vice Chairwoman of the LEE DIAMONDS company.

OLIVIA LEE (Sister):-                                                                                                                               

She is an American, she was born in California (USA), Her present age is 12, she goes to a Private Los Angeles  Middle School and studies in 6th grade.

HARRY (Jonas's best friend):-                                                                                                               

He is an American, he was born in California, he is Caring and funny, he also studies at UCLA, he belongs to a rich family.

MR.PETER:- Jonas's business teacher.

ROSE:- Jonas's ex-girlfriend.

A very long time ago a war broke down in Japan, due to the war crisis the people of Japan faced a shortage of food, water and basic amenities.

The people of Japan believed in the forest god who they thought could help them and provide them with food and water so they decided to approach him and ask for his help.

Then they travelled to the forest to find the forest god. After travelling for days they finally found the forest god. Then the leader of the group asked for help from the forest god

He said, 'we lost everything due to the war and now the people are suffering as they don't have food and water to survive"

"Oh forest god please help us"

Then the forest god replied:

"I will help my people and make sure they get what they need rest to be assured"

He orders the fairies to create a magic portal which can help them to travel from one place to another for finding food and water.

The forest god allows the people to use the portal. He warns them about the limited usage of the portal which can be used only 100 times in a generation. He also asks them to protect the portal from evil.

Through the help of the forest god the people could get food and water to survive and they lived a good life.

And then many generations passed by

Ma Dayoung was an evil person who used the portal to its full limit and shortened his own life span(the forest god had warned them saying about how if they had accessed the portal to its full limit the one whoever used it will lose one year from their life span

So as they use the portal their life expectancy is shortened by one year each time)

Then from the 5th generation, a girl named Eung Shin decided to pursue her dream career outside of Japan and so she goes to California, USA. Sadly her dreams don't work out and she manages to earn a living by becoming a waitress in a cafe without any of her family know about it.

While working as a waitress she meets a guy named Edward Hart who used to visit the cafe a lot. He was from Florida and they connected really well. He took out Eung on a few dates and soon were dating.

Eung Shin's family insists her to visit Japan as she hadn't visited Japan in the last 5 years, so she decides to visit Japan.

Soon she reaches Japan meets her family and recollects all the memories while staying there for 4 months.

So one day she went strolling in the forest near her house while thinking about Edward and she hears some weird voices from the forest and follows where the voice leads and discovers a hidden cave. She goes inside the cave to explore more and finds the magic portal. Eung shin being curious places her hand inside the portal and then she falls inside it and finds out she is in California and she becomes really shocked. She uses the portal to go back to where she came from.

After researching more about the Portal she decides to make a forest inside of the Portal in Florida, and give it the name WILLOW WOODS, which would consist of a house where she and Edward would spend the rest of their lives living happily. As she loved nature and the living expenses were too much in California and they couldn't afford it so according to her this was the best idea for them to live a good life.

Eung gets married to Edward in Florida and surprises Edward by showing him the house which is surrounded by the forest that she made using the Portal.

And soon they were expecting their first child. They both were happy as anyone can be. They were blessed by a baby girl who they named Sky Vespertine. She grew up playing in the forest and was intelligent from a young age. She was very pretty and beautiful as she inherited her mother's beauty. She loved reading, listening to music and doing Art.

After 5 years with Sky being the only child, Eung and Edward were expecting their second baby, soon they were blessed with a baby boy who they gave the name Alex Hartz. After giving birth to their second child Eung shin becomes very weak because she used the portal a couple of times and her life span gets shorter.

Eung Shin was unaware of the truth about the portal that it could shorten the life span of the person who uses it

Eung Shin decides to meet her family and introduce her children to them and they travel to Japan and met her family. while living in japan Eung's mother notices how Eung's health was deteriorating rapidly.

Her mother asks her about her health and she tells her about how she discovered the magic portal and used it. Her mother gets very shocked after learning about this reality and breakdown then she tells Eung about the portal and the hidden truth. Unfortunately, there was no cure for it.

Eung passes away after a few days...

Edward gets depressed after knowing the sad truth about the death of the Eung and decides not to mention anything regarding the magic portal to any of his children.

He takes the kids back to Florida for a better future...

Soon Sky grew up and finished school and she wanted to study at UCLA (University of California Los Angeles) but due to the expenses, her father couldn't afford the University fee, and also her father didn't want to send her away from him. So Sky studied at home, she used to get some books from her local library and read it at home.

Her father worked a part-time job at the local supermarket nearby their house. Her brother used to go to a public school and studied in 8th grade.

Their father had restricted them from going far inside the forest due to the magic portal being there and he used to tell them about dangerous animals residing inside of it.

One day while Sky was strolling in the forest and reading a book thinking about how fun it would be if she joins UCLA, she goes deep inside the forest without noticing that she had entered the restricted area. She kept on hearing voices around her and she looked around only to realize that she had entered the restricted part of the forest. The voices become louder so she follows them inside the hidden cave and there she discovers the magic portal. Not realizing what it is she falls into it.

Jonas Version:-

It was a usual day at the Lee household. Jonas wakes up gets fresh and starts getting dressed  for going to the University (UCLA). He goes into his closet and there he comes across a girl lying in his closet face down, he is shocked to find someone inside his closet. He picks her up and places her down on his bed, and he gets some water and sprinkles it on her face, she wakes up in shock and looks at him and screams, hearing her scream Jonas also screams,

Sky in shock asks him: "who are you"

Jonas replies: "first you tell me who are you and what were you doing inside my closet"

Sky: "I don't know how I ended up here, the last thing I remember was entering into a cave and there I saw a portal and now I am here inside your so-called closet btw where am I, and what is this place"?

Jonas(Laughing) says"You are telling me you saw a portal and you reached here, you think I will believe you? and btw you are in California at my house

Jonas hears his mom calling him, he tells her to wait there and he'll be back in a minute, Sky looks around thinking about how she reached California and she remembers that she was thinking about UCLA before discovering the magical portal and ending up here, she tries thinking how she  could go back to Florida  then Jonas comes back and tells her that he can't listen to her stories as he is getting late for the university, Sky asks him "which university he studies at" ? he says " UCLA" hearing this Sky gets shocked and asks if she could come with him to the university Jonas thinks that it is a good idea to take her along with  him instead of leaving her home alone.

Then he sneaks her out of his house and tells her to sit in the car, while driving he asks: "you didn't tell me your name may I know what it is" ? she thinks it wouldn't be good if she reveals her name to stranger she barely knows she looks around and sees a board outside the car's window on which a name Anna was written and she tells him that her name is Anna

Jonas: "Hmmm Anna, nice name well you told me that you came inside my closet from a cave or wait what was it yeah a magic portal so tell where exactly is this magic portal"

Sky: "It's in Florida "

Jonas: "Florida well it's not that far away I thought you were from a different country"                                                                                                                                                                            Sky: "Yah I am from the USA itself and you think I am joking well I don't care if you believe me or not I guess everyone would have reacted like you, I know this is not something common to believe"

Then they reach the university he takes her to a lawn which was near his class and tells her to wait there till he comes back from his class, Sky sites on a bench while waiting for him, Jonas goes to his business class he looks out of his class's window to see if Sky was there and he stare at her for some time until his business teacher Mr. Peter notices him looking outside the window and not focusing on what he was teaching, he calls him

Mr. Peter: Jonas

he does not respond...

Mr. Peter: (again calling him more loudly ) Jonas!

Jonas: ( frightenedly responds ) Yes sir!

Mr. Peter: What are you looking for outside?

Jonas: Aaahh I was looking at the sky the moon and the stars

Mr.Peter: What seriously the moon and stars in the morning?

Jonas: Oh sorry sorry I mean the sun and the clouds

Mr.Peter: Seriously you think this is the time for you watch the sky the moon and the stars instead of what I am teaching here

Jonas: No sir I am sorry

Mr.Peter: Now I want you to focus here.

Later after a couple of minutes he looks out again to check on her and to his shock, she disappears from there he looks around to see if she is there but she is out of sight, he looks at his watch to see how much time was left for his class to end and then Mr. Peter again notices him being distracted in the class and then he sends him out for detention, he was waiting for an opportunity to get out of the class and now he gets one, so he goes out and run towards the lawn where Sky was sitting and looks out for her after some time he sees her standing near the music class, he runs to her and asks her angrily

Jonas: "why did you come here? when I  told you to stay there and wait for me"

Sky:" Oh sorry! I was distracted by this music so I came here to listen to it".

As they were talking Jonas hear some weird voices he looks around to see where it was coming from

Sky: "Oops! I'm sorry it's my stomach I am a bit hungry"

Jonas: "it's okay, well I know a really good crepe cafe I usually go there what do you think you wanna come"?

Sky: "yeah sure"

As there were eating, Sky literally eats 10 crepes and Jonas tells her that it is enough for today as she also has to eat the other meals. Suddenly a girl comes and sits next to Jonas and tries to touch his hair but Jonas stops her from doing it, she asks him about how his life is going on and how is he doing? Jonas ignores her and tells her to go away and stop bothering him, then she notices Sky sitting there and she asks Jonas

The Girl ( Rose ): "Jonas! who is this and why is she sitting with you"?

Jonas: "Mind your own business why do you bother"

Girl( Rose ): "I do my darling tell me who is she"

"tell me"! (x 5)

Sky:"( responds being sick of her ): I am......."

Jonas:"( Instantly replied ): she is my girlfriend"!

The girl ( Rose )replied what! Jonas tells her yes she is and asks her angrily to go away she looks at him angrily and goes away,

Sky"( curiously asks him ): who is she"?

Jonas: 'she is my Ex-girlfriend Rose".

Sky: "Ohh I could tell! and why did you tell her that I am your girlfriend".

Jonas: "I don't know it just came out of my mouth I guess for making her jealous and angry so that she could leave".

And then they finally returned home then Jonas show her a loft in his room and tells her that she can live there for the time being, till they figure out what to do...
