Mei Weiwei sat under a big tree in the middle of nowhere. As a girl who was had just started high school how could she possibly get lost.

She walked forward to see if she could get her phone signal, but was all in vain.

She suddenly felt some cold and chilly liquid on her body. Looking above, she found out it was already raining. "Ugh...even the skies hate me..." she complained.

When will a car even pass nearby. She thought. At that moment, she already hated herself for being so stupid.

Night came by soon, and she curled herself lonely under the big tree. With the hooting of owls and the creaking of sticks , she felt more scared. At the moment, she thought help would never arrive. Was she going to end up like Tarzan from the jungle book? Tears ran down her face at the thought of her turning into a jungle girl. She sniffed. Was she really lost? Will no one come to save her? Mummy...

No network connection, it really sucked.

The light of car fell on her. Her coal dark hair shimmered under the light. Her eyes kept twitching as she couldn't keep looking at the light for too long. The door of the car opened and a pair of long legs was the first to land on the ground. A masculine figure stood in front of her. Due to the light from the car, she could barely see the face of the guy. However, judging from the figure of the person, he was super-duper hot.

After staring for a while, her rosy lips finally parted. "Who... who..."

Suddenly, the world around her start spinning. Oh!no! What if the guy wants to kidnap her or maybe... She just couldn't think straightforward

She must not faint I front of a stranger. What if he was one of the weird guys she saw earlier

"Are you okay?" A sexy and charming voice fell on her

She shook her head lightly she attempted to get up already "No" she said with a hoarse voice

With the support of the tree, she could finally get up.

The mysterious stranger took a step forward and said"Are you lost, or perhaps you live in the jungle? "He said with a bit of sarcasm in his voice.

She didn't know if it was advisable to accept the help of the stranger. What if he meant no harm and sincerely wanted to help her.

" Do you happen to live nearby? I can take you there... "He offered but this time, he sounded serious.

" I don't live nearby...though... I... I..." the world went spinning once again. She felt she could hold on no more.

The stranger took notice of her situation and neared. The closer he came, she couldn't hold on anymore. He rushed towards her,, and she fell into his arm.

He carefully examined her face under the light. "A high-school student?" He felt puzzled.

In a dimly lit room, a petite figure lied on a really large bed. A really large room which was like the combination of two other rooms. Nothing seemed to worry her at that moment.

The outline of her curvy body was vividly seen which made her look more sexy even though she had blankets on. The creak of a door made her stir in her sleep and she slowly woke up. Her body was all sore.

It felt as if she was beaten with a baseball bat.

Wait a minute! Where was she? She thought as she brushed her fingers through her hair

Alight frown settled in between her brows when she thought she had remembered something

Her clothes were changed... Did that guy just change her clothes?

She could barely digest all these. It was freaking her out. She was filled with horror and panic when she thought that something happened between them.

Just as she was deeply lost in thoughts, the door to the room suddenly creaked open. To her surprise, it was her mum, Lin Hwa. She seemed to be in her early 40s. She held a cup of milk in her hands

"Uh... you're already awake?" she said calmly with a wide smile which almost reached her eyes.

What was going on? She was totally confused. That place was it their home, so she wondered where she was at the moment.

"Mum...?" She called her name just to verify, and she pinched her eyes severally

Lin Hwa walked closer and patted her head. "Don't worry dear, I changed your clothes and also Fang Leng brought you back, so there's no need to panic…" she assured her.

Almost all the wild thoughts on her mind disappeared immediately when she heard her mum changed her clothes. Strange. Her mum talked as of she knew him.

A lot of unsolved questions ran through her head. Lin Hwa noticed Mei Weiwei had something to say, but she took the milk and fed her. "... mum..." she almost spat out the milk. She had no appetite.

"Don't you remember Fang Leng?" Puzzled Lin Hwa asked

Mei Weiwei shook her head slightly. To her, it was not really necessary.

Sighed.

Lin Hwa sat on the bed and entwined her fingers with that of her daughter's.

"When your father was alive..." Her mood abruptly changed. The start of her words of Lin Hwa made tears threaten to fall.

After all that Mei Weiwei had gone through last night, she was put to a proper rest.

Later on the same day, she found out that the Fang's mansion was a bit closer to theirs. That meant they could see each rather often.

Strange thing was, her mum never mentioned the Fangs been so close to them.

Fang Leng sat under a big tree at the backyard of the Fang's mansion. The tree was really huge which covered almost a quarter of the backyard.

Various varieties of plants and flowers made the environment look more alive and serene.

He completely immersed in his phone. His long eyelashes swept gently on his eyes as he pressed on the screen of the phone skillfully. He was super handsome, but rumor has it that, he was unreasonable.

"Playing with your phone?" An unfamiliar but sweet voice fell on him. Looking up, he found the girl he had saved last night. Also, the girl he heard he was betrothed to. Though her face was familiar, her voice was not.

He nodded and without sparing her another look, he turned back to his phone.

Mei Weiwei hadn't seen his face last night, so she took this opportunity to examine him properly.

Wow! Actually it was astounding she got betrothed to such a handsome guy.

He had sharp edges and always kept his serious but sexy look.

The environment got awkward for her since he barely looked or talked go her.

He suddenly dropped the phone on his lap. Mei Weiwei had been standing since she came. Her legs were all sore. She sat next to him and crossed her legs.

A smirk appeared on his side lip.

Thanks? She had come into his way and spoiled all his plans. If there was someone he wished could die right away, it was Mei Weiwei. He had regretted saving her. If only he knew was the girl he was going to get engaged with, he would have let die alone.

"It was nothing though…" He said indifferently.

Sitting next to her handsome crush she stared at him without shifting her gaze. If only time could stand still. She thought

"Are you done staring?" He asked. Although he was focused on his phone, he could still feel her gaze on her.

Gosh! What a pervert She was really getting on his nerves.

She seemed to be lost in her fantasy world.

Awkward chuckle.

"Oh sorry..." She apologised immediately and looked away.

He turned to face her.

OMG! Was he going to kiss her. The thought flattered the butterflies in her stomach. This was not the time for face to turned super hot.

She tried to hide her face embarrassingly.

He remained his cold and indifferent look. "You are not dead?"

She chuckled awkwardly. From the looks of things, she probably misheard him.

Wait! What was he.....

"... Pardon?..." She asked

He got up abruptly and kept his phone in his pocket. "Mum and dad told me the girl I was betrothed to have a car accident about five years ago... I was the happiest person when I heard such news... However, I wouldn't have to get engaged to someone I barely know and like..." He said indifferently as he kept his gaze away from hers.

She felt a slight guilt in her heart. He must've had a hard time. She thought. For a handsome guy like him to be betrothed at a year old.

However, she was optimistic that he was going to be happy around her.
