"Here in the city that never sleeps is where our adventure begins"

It was raining heavily on New York City, no one dared to be out on the streets this night,every homeless person was seeking shelter from the rain even a Teenager boy was going alley to alley looking for a place to stay and in the darkest one he did. He sat down cold,shivering from head to toe,stuffing paper in his ripped coat to keep him warm but out of nowhere the rain drops sound was interrupted by a screeching sound.It was a motorcycle with a woman on it screeching the ground,the boy sat quite in fear as heard another motorcycle arrive the alley, the rider was dressed in black from head to toe,it was hard to see its face with the Helmet he couldn't tell if it was a Man or a Woman.

"Give me the book!" its voice sounded like a dark machine.The Woman struggled to get up then finally she stood on her feet,drenched in rain she held the brown covered book in her hand.

"No, it belongs to me!"

"I am warning you give me the book" it said once again but the Woman only held it close

"I warned you!" It raised its hand to the building next to it, the bricks and the wood came together in a circle, it threw the ball to the Woman and with the impact she died. It walked through the rubble to the woman and picked the book from her bloody hands, It started walking back to its motorcycle but it stopped and picked up her body

"I never wish to kill the innocent, use this second chance wisely" It pushed her head to the helmet and a light passed to her then behind them a portal formed and on the other side was a hospital, she laid the woman on the bed with a note and the portal was gone. A phone rang in it back pocket

"Hello"

"Did you get it" A dark voice asked

"Yes"

"Come back" it hanged up, got back on the motorcycle and drove away. The boy sat in fear like he had watched Wizards, he didn't even see the rain anymore.

A woman ran through the a white hallway in a tight skirt dropping papers behind her, she pushed everyone out of her way as she ran out of breath, she burst in to a meeting room

"Head!" she yelled, the man with long black hair turned to her

"Agent Lucy! this had better be good for interrupting us" he said sternly

"It is back" He looked at with surprise

"Show me" she gave him a tablet with scrambled photos a what happened in the alley

"Agent Tony"

"Yes sir!" A man stood up

"Call all agents back from their current missions and schedule a gathering tomorrow morning"

"Yes sir" Agent Tony left the room as another came in

"Sir?" the male agent asked

"What is it?"

"The new agent has arrived"

"Good and just in time out problem is back and its time to get rid of it"

After long rainy night the fog took over the city, people were crowding the streets , some getting to their jobs, some getting to school and small business opened.

"Where's my money, Troy!" Gangsters pushed the boy from the night before on the wall

"I'll get you your money, D I just need more time"

"Put him down boys" the black man walked towards him and picked him by his neck

"Troy, you're A good kid that's why I'm giving you two days to get me my money, you get me" Troy nodded his head

"That's A good boy" His name is Radius or D like everyone called him, and he was the king of the streets, he left Troy as he straightened his clothes. Troy was the boy who was abandon on the streets when he was two with his childhood friend Cal, they grew up defending for themselves for survival, but Troy's mistake was working for D who paid him for doing small jobs like stealing or pickpocketing. Recently he borrowed money cause Cal got sick, but he didn't have the money to pay him back. He went to the main street where strangers walked together, he took a left to a street filled with small shops, he went to a flower shop

"Good morning, Troy!" The old African American said

"Good Morning, Mrs Shepherd" Mrs Shepherd owned a small flower shop and with the little she got, she bought Cal and Troy food and medicine.

"Take this and make sure Cal takes this medicine too" She Troy a bag of food and Medicine

"I will, thank you, Mrs Shepherd"

"Your good boy Troy, you don't need to work for Darius anymore, ok?"

"Yes ma'am" he yelled as he went back to the streets, he walled for a while then came to an empty alley, he walked to the end of the alley where its seemed to be a wall. He put the stiff in his pocket and pulled down a ladder, at the top of the building was a small building like a shed. He pulled the heavy door back

"Troy!" A blond 14-year-old boy hugged Troy, he was short for his age.

"I haven't been gone that long" Troy had black straight hair, it was rarely combed,, and he was 16.

"Eat and take the medicine" he handed Cal the bag of food and medicine, Cal ran to sat down at their small table Cal munched down on his share

"D wants his money back" Troy said going through their stuff

"Ugh, this is all my fault if I did fall sick we wouldn't be in this mess"

"It's ok Cal we'll just pawn something s" Troy took a piece of bread from his share

"Only the best of our stuff the ones we were left with" Cal answered with a full mouth. Troy knew that they couldn't sell their most precious stuff but this was a life and death situation, their life and death situation

The elevator ding snapped Above my Zair back to reality she straighteneded her shirt and walked out. Said tube man known as the best Agent in the American branch, she would always get her jobs done never complain, but our flawless Agent had one problem, and it was finding a partner.

"Agent Zair, glad you're back on time without a partner" Tony said to her

"Never late Agent Tony"

"What happened this time"

"To slow and talked too much"

"Your fifth trial the Head will not be pleased" The crowds of Agents caught Agent Zair's eye

"What's going on?"

"There is a meeting this morning, come on!" Agent Tony and Zair joined the rest of the Agents, they clapped as the Head stood on stage

"Good Morning Agents, As you know why we are gathered here this morning. Last night Agent Lucy uncovered something we all remember about 8 years ago our agency suffered something that was recorded as the worst case ever, we almost lost to something we couldn't understand, but we fought only to scare it away. We were almost shutdown we were able to stand in our darkest hour. Its back and this time were going to save a million lives, this time we're going to win. Agents allow me to welcome special Agent from England Agent Knight" Clapping and amazement filled the air as the Agent walked on stage, Agent Knight had black hair with fashion glasses

"And our own Agent, Agent Zair" she waved to show her presence

"Together, we will defeat the enemy!" They all clapped and went back to their jobs while Zair what straight from the Head

"Agent Zair! Welcome back, I would like you to meet your new partner Agent Knight" Agent Knight smiled and extended his hand for a guest

"Agent Zair" his English accent came out

"Agent Knight" she gripped his hand hard in disgust and he could feel it

"Follow me into my office" Agent Knight and Zair followed him, Agent Knight looked at her black hair, her small freckles could be seen on her dark brown skin. They sat down in the Heads office to discuss the the mission

"I'm sending you to network to meet a woman named Mary Ausburn"

"Mary Ausburn an archeologist why do we need her help with the case" Knight asked

"She came in contact with It actually she was attacked by It and maybe she has a lead so Information and Excecuter"

"Yes sir!"

"My dear Charles, by the time you get this I might be die or even be dead but I hope this reaches you in time. You have been my friend for a very long time, you know I hold no grudges, no wrong and no secrets but I am sorry for keeping this from you so many times I tried to tell only I feared for your saftey now I am writing to because it's time that you know. In my younger days I wanted to improve Humanity, our lives as well and on this I stumbled on a book. Whatever you do, do not open the book or even look at it cause you might end up like me a dead man that tells no tales

Charles put the letter down and looked at the package on his mahogany table he was tempted to open it but the letter haunted him, but he decided to take a peek. He banged his crowbar to open the package catching the attention of his wife

"Charles, what are you doing? " the woman said coming in

"Just opening a package from my friend Leonardo"

"Leonardo? he was found dead this morning "

"Dead? "

"Have you seen the Morning Papers, he was found dead in his study well that's what the police are saying" Charles looked at the letter then the package

"Then who sent me this letter and package? "

"They did say he sent something before his death" he took the lid off the top of the box and at the bottom was a book, he brought out into the light. The brown cover with gold streaks and a 'G' in the middle caught his wife attention

"What a beautiful book"

"I have a feeling this is what got Leonardo killed"

Mary Ausburn sat up on the hospital bed, she looked at her hands that had been wrapped up. She didn't remember how she got here, the only thing she remembered was a huge ball coming towards her then everything went black. The nurse came in with her board

"You're awake, how are you feeling?"

"How did I get here?"

"You were here before"

"Where am I?"

"NewYork of course" the nurse checked everything then another one came in

"Mary Ausburn?"

"That's my name"

"Some people are here to see you"

"Let them in"

Troy brought their stuff to go through so they could pawn them

"What about my ring?" Cal asked

"No,its too precious to you" Troy answered

"But it would cost alot maybe even the money we owe Darius"

"I know but I don't want to see lose the thing you love" he said as they continued rummaging

"Look at this!" Cal held up a pearl that looked bluish white and expensive

"We can get a hefty price for that" Troy put it in his pocket and continued then he found an old Letter

"What's this?" Cal came over to see

"I've never seen that before" the paper was brown and smudged with ink it looked like a thousand years old

..."My son if you are reading this it means you are old enough to learn I wasn't able to take care of you but I only left you to protect I know one day you will find me and we can be together again...

Troy read it aloud

"Must've been someone else's" Troy put it in his pocket and went back to looking

"Yeah" he whispered

"Look! A necklace" Cal gave To his finding now they were set to pawn foe cash

"We got enough , let's go"

Knight sat at his computer on the jet they took to get to New York, he looked at his new partner who didn't want to be here bit the feeling was mutual. When the Head of his Branch in England told him about the mission

"You'll go to America"

"But I like my job here with the civilized people, not those American s"

"Look Agent knight, you're our best Agent and they need the best to fight this enemy" Knight thought for a while

"Fine I'll go"

"Agent Knight!" Zair yelled, he came back to reality" he answered

"Yes Agent Zair" he answered

"Lets go over our mission"

"There is no other reason to go over this" he said clicking on his computer

"Look, we didn't want to be partners but we're gonna have to work together"

"Agent Zair, I know you didn't want to be my partner from the start so lets make a deal, we finish the mission then go our separate ways" Zair was surprised to hear the deal and wanted to be a part of it

"Fine, you have a deal" They shook hands to confirm it

The door to a shop called the Minute opened. The dark store had varieties of stuff mostly pawned for money

"Uh, A package for White" the man came to a pay table

"I'm Whit" The fringe man came out of the back

"Here is your package, just sign here" The delivery man held out a Billboard for signing

"Thank you" the delivery man left and Whit was left alone, he opened the package hoping it to be the one he ordered but

"What is this?" he took out a Brown covered book with golden streaks

"This is not what I ordered but I could still sell this" he opened the book but it was empty

"Great! Waste of money" he slammed the book on the table and left

"We interrogate then we execute" Zair said outside of Mary's room, she knocked on the door and heard Mary's faint voice as she entered in with Agent Knight. Mary looked at the woman, she had a familiar face she had seen before

"Mary Ausburn?" Knight asked

"Yes and who are you?"

"Agent Zair and Agent Knight from a government agency, we're here to ask you some questions" Zair explained

"Why do I need the government on my **back**?"

"Cause you came in contact with our fugitive"

"Fugitive?"

"This person attacked you a night ago" Knight showed her the picture of the person who threw that ball I that night

"I have only a little memory of that night"

"Just tells us what you know" Zair and Knight took a seat and listened to Mary

"I was coming back from a Village in Canada with a artifact that belonged to !y family, I've been looking for it for years. I t was raining and I was riding a motorcycle then I spotted A tail so sped up but it kept following me when I wasn't looking where I wss going I crashed into an Alley. I couldn't see the person cause of its helmet but the rest is blurry the last part I remember is getting hit by something"

"What was it?" Zair asked

"I think it was full bricks and wood"

"You could've died with that impact" Knight said

"But I am still alive"

"There is one part that doesn't add up, how did you get here?" Knight asked

"I don't know, I woke up here"

Troy and Cal entered the Mrs. Shepherd's shop as the ball rang the old woman came out

"Cal!" she hugged the boy tight

"Mrs Shepherd I can't breath" he said gasping for air

"Sorry, I've missed you so much and very glad to see you healthy"

"I'm alright Mrs. Shepherd " Cal said answering her

"You're here for your lessons?" she asked

"of course" Cal was taught show to read and write by Mrs.Shepherd side school wad unaffordable. Troy already finished his less so s with Mrs.Shepherd long time ago

"Come on" They followed her to the back where warm biscuits and some milk was waiting for them

"Troy, I want you to read this book" she gave him a blue book with a title called 'Legends' Troy was always happy to read new books and even more happy to see Cal getting an education. He sat on the opposite side of the table before reading his book He took a peck at Cal and Mrs.Shepherd. She had already started teaching him so Troy started reading his new book while drinking his milk. An hour passed by and Troy already finished two chapters

"That's it for today" Mrs. Shepherd collected the books from Cal and Troy to put them away

"Thank for the lesson Mrs. Shepherd" Cal waved goodbye to as they left the shop, they walked quietly

"Troy where are we going now?"

"D, still need his money so to the pawn shop"

"I know we can get it, right Troy?"

"Right" Troy answered but he had an bad feeling about this
