Jade scowled in annoyance and tapped her feet impatiently as she waited for her Alpha and Luna. The werewolf society was barbaric in some way but it had a civility no one could deny. It's Hierarchy was absolute and survival was by strength and resilience. They lived in packs that could be as large as a town.

The head of the pack was the Alpha, his position is passed from generation to generation, he ruled the pack and handled everything he could. Next was his Luna who is the Alpha's soul mate, she is considered an equal her role is to be the mother of the pack and even out the Alpha. After her came the Beta, if the Alpha were the president they would be the Vice. Their jobs were more tedious than even the Alpha's. Anything the Alpha did not wish to handle they took care of, they trained the pack in combat and normal day to day activities, they made sure the system was in order, they arranged meetings and ensured the safety of the pack. The Alpha just mainly server as the supervisor and his words were supreme. Next are the Nomads the normal pack members, they had no specific task it just depended on their capabilities. Of course wherever there is an Alpha there is an Omega. The Omega's are the runts of the pack they did the jobs no one else would do and more. Some packs treated their runts like garbage but their pack was as equal as the system allowed.

Jade was the Beta of her pack. The first female Beta in werewolf history. It was quite unheard of for a female to have a high position apart from the position of Luna. If an Alpha or a Beta did not bear a son the position would be passed on by open challenge. These are fights and no female had shown any interest in it but she had and came out victorious. Jade's life had been tough, her mother died giving birth to her and somehow he had pulled through the death of his soul mate. He was never mean or anything but there was no relationship between them. She was not willing to let her bloodline lose the Beta rights so she trainee hard. Her father had managed to stay alive till she was eighteen. On his death bed he had apologized to her and for the first time in her life he told her he loved her and for the first time in fifteen years she cried.

Her best friend Brian became the Alpha and she was Beta. His mate was a human girl Christina from England only God knows how he had managed to ease all this on her but she was an awesome Luna. They had gone to England to visit the Luna's parents but they were to arrive today.

Soul mates mates for short were two people whose soul's were intertwined, they were destined to be together. The ability to instantly know your soul mate was a gift by the goddess of the night to her special children.

Immediately her Alpha stepped into the lobby she knew but the extra scent that accompanied him drew her in. Her feet moved her to the source of the scent on it's own. Her eyes landed on a tall man besides the Luna. His hair was as black as a raven's coat and his eyes were a jade green. She was in front of him in seconds completely ignoring her Alpha and Luna who tried to speak to her. Her arms wrapped around his waist and her face was buried in his chest as she whispered

"Mine"

Alexia held his hands up as the some what petite lady clung to him. It was really not a new thing for people to cling to him. Her brown curls were extremely long but he could not make out her face. Christina starred at the lady on his body in disbelieve and he couldn't understand why. She had seen a lot of fans do worse, her boyfriend Brian had a small smile playing on his lips and that annoyed him. The guards around him could nit understand how she got passed them. Brian seemed to snap out of his trance.

"Jade down now" the lady only tightened her grip. "Jade i repeat get down" Brian commanded and the lady reluctantly let him go. Christina pulled the lady to her before the guards could reach her.

"I'm really sorry about this Alex. She's just a huge fan and a bit unstable" Alexia just starred at her in silence. He had to admit she was gorgeous with dark curls that outline her oval face, her grey eyes that stood out in contrast to her tanned skin, her lips were so red they looked blood stained. Her body was well defined and toned. She had muscles but not too much they scarred you away. She looked rather uptight with her face an expressionless mask.

"It's honestly not the first time such things have happened Tina but she really doesn't seem like a fan". Christina laughed awkwardly at his reply "so you know her?" Christina nodded slowly

"She's Brian's family member she is here to pick us up."

"Does Brian live with his family members is that why i cannot stay with you? "

"He does not exactly stay with them, they all live together in an estate and it's really out of town, you're only here for your photoshoot" he nodded in understanding noticing that Brian kept a grip on the lady's shoulder.

"I'm very sorry for my previous actions it was impulsive" Alexia thought her voice sounded like angels singing and could only nod in response.

"May i ask your name? " he asked politely. She seemed a bit surprised but soon covered it up.

"Jade which Brian had already said. Jade White" he found her name humorous. She had two colours as names.

"Would you like a picture with me?" her entire demur changed, she gave a soft smile and nodded.

He placed his hand on her shoulder while Christina took the pictures.

"Thank you and goodbye" he could have sworn he saw a tear but she had already disappeared amongst the sea of people leaving him, Brian and Christina standing there.

"I'll see you around Alex. I have to head back to Jade" he nodded and watched the leave before his security profile led him away.

Through out his stay he couldn't stop thinking of Jade White, he always resisted the urge to ask about Jade and Christina never mentioned anything when they talked. He had seem more beautiful girls so why was Christina so different.

Brian was becoming really worried, his Beta had been different since she found her mate. He was an actor and she couldn't exactly make him fall in love with her because she was just a crazed fan. Jade had used to play with the children and teens in her spare time but now her spare time was spent in her room. She barely spoke and was more reserved than usual. She even avoided her Luna like her the plague but it was understandable, she would choose her mate's happiness and freedom anytime.

"Do you think she could die?" Tina asked cuddling Brian

"I honestly doubt that she's too strong willed but maybe it's her way of handling this. I had all the time in the world to make you fall in love with me but she doesn't. She can't survive without her pack we are too social for that. I'm sorry Tina"

Alexia stood in front of the estate in awe. There were men stationed at the gate which was gold with a howling wolf on it. He could not spot any houses from where he stood. He walked to the guards stationed there, he noticed they had no weapons but did nor comment

"I'm here to see Christina but I'd like her not to know it's a surprise" a guard took out a phone and dialed a number. He spoke for awhile before turning to him

"Name?"

"Alexia Romanov" the guard let him in and gave him directions before going back to standing at his post.

He could only describe this estate as grand, everything was extravagant and beautiful and the fields and trees added a more natural feeling. The guard had said the largest house and that was where he stood in front of, before he got the chance to knock the door opened and Brian stood in front of him

"I understand what you want to do but you can't just come unannounced" he didn't get the chance to reply before Brian was already walking away. He followed silently behind. People started to pour out of rooms and halls to just stare at him, he was used to such attention but this was quite unnerving. His face brightened when he saw Christina playing with a little girl. She turned with a bright smile to Brian and was startled to see Alexia behind him.

"Alex what are you doing here?"

"I came to visit, we are on break so i thought why not get away." she laughed awkwardly.

Jade's sense of smell was off because a pup had peeped on her face all she could smell was pee but it would wear off in about 20 minutes. She noticed a ground had formed in the kids room and went to check what was it's cause. The sight of her mate sent her into a turmoil, she took a staggered step forward. She couldn't control her shift even if she tried.

Alexia starred in shock as what was once Jade was now an oversized wolf. His eyes rolled back in his head and he fell downwards.
