It was in the dead of the night. And now, what Esmeralda could see was cars moving at top speed at both of her sides.

Round lights blinding her and honking sounds hurting her ears. She brought her hands up to cover them.She was so confused. Now how the heck did this happen?

A minute ago, she was texting her boyfriend and bestie, while sitting by her window. After she fell asleep, she was awoken by irritating noises. Ugh! Is Stan watching action movies late again?

She had wanted to walk straight to the living room and give her little brother a good scolding, only to open her eyes and find herself in this situation.

Her body stood up and began processing what was happening. Vroom! Vroom! Vroom! Oh God, she had to get out of here before....

Pong!!! She turned around to see a huge truck heading towards her. Oh dear, death was appearing to her much faster than she had thought. She was doomed.

She covered her face with her crossed wrists awaiting her sudden departure from this world. Ah! Would her ancestors laugh at how she died,so absolutely absurd!!

Suddenly strong arms swooped her away from death's outstretched arms. Esmeralda soon found herself in a man's arms, while he sat on the ground at the roadside panting like crazy.

He looked like a man in his early 40's.Was it Daddy? " Oh, daddy... I thought you had left us forever..." she said tearing up. "Huh! ... Hey kid are you okay.Are...are you hurt anywhere."

Although he was breathless, he gathered up his strength to focus on the state of the girl. Esmeralda narrowed her gaze to look at the man. Oh. it wasn't her father. Tears streamed down her face. How could it be him? He was.....

"Kid. What's your name? Where's your house? I can take you there...I really want to hel_" "W-where am I? Who...who are you? What's going on?" She looked terrified and sad.

The man took a deep breath and cleared his throat," My name is Kevin. what's your name?" he said ever so gently. The man's smile made Esmeralda's tensed body relax. He...He looks reliable.

She thought. Maybe she could trust him. She opened her mouth to say something when her head began to throb awfully. Ouch!! My head hurts so badly.

Kevin began panicking. The girl in his arms looked unwell and he wanted to help her. "K_ Kevin? Sir? ...Please where am I?" she asked again.

Esmeralda wanted to laugh at herself. Where else would she be? She's supposed to be at home in her room peacefully sleeping. She's supposed to be in her country, Ashlin. But for some reason, this place didn't feel like Ashlin, it didn't feel like home.

If she was at home, the why did she wake up in the middle of a freaking road? Her family wasn't cruel to bring her out of the house and leave her there. And she couldn't remember ever sleepwalking before.

So how was this happening. She could only have arrived there by any of the reasons she listed or.. .by a miracle..? Oh now you are being silly, Esmeralda?

For a moment Kevin raised his brow and then answered," you're in Vera,you know... Suthca...?". Her eyes shot wide. Vera? As in the capital of Suthca,her No.2 dream country? No offense Suthca, I'm Ashlin for life!!

Then that means...Ohhh... she remembered now. But this...things like this can't... how could this...

So many questions to ask , when her head began throbbing hard again. Oh my God!! My head!!! it hurts so much, I feel like could die any sec.

She could no longer keep her eyes open,she laid restfully in Kevin's arms, Trying to tell the helpless man what he could do,but her strength was leaving her. Oh God, please help me.

Kevin could see those pink lips moving, but he couldn't hear anything. So he brought his ears close to her mouth. " Kelly... and Kyle..."she murmured. A gasped breath left Kevin's mouth.

Kyle and Kelly,as in the ones he knew. "please... Aunt Linda.... Renzo... Kyle...."she whispered. Kevin raised his head to look at the girl in his arms. She had fainted.

Linda... Kyle and Kelly... Did this girl know them. He took a deep breath again and got up with the girl still in his arms. He rushed towards his car. He knew what to do.

Kevin was driving with the girl sleeping peacefully at the back seat. This girl.... Could she possibly know Linda and her kids? I've never seen her around them before. Could she be an unknown relative?

What I still don't seem to understand is, why she was suddenly goofing around on the roadside? Is she a mad girl? Oh goodness, am I having a mad girl in my car?

But she didn't sound like a crazy lunatic when she was talking before. She sounded confused. Or maybe that's it. She's just lost and is trying to make things out.

Anyway I have to get her to Linda, since it seems this girl knows her. But what if, Linda says she doesn't know her. What will become of the poor girl?

Maybe I would just ask her for the location of her home and then send her th... Suddenly, his phone started ringing. He answered it and put on loudspeaker.

"Hello?"

"Yeah, hello … Big bro.... we've got a problem..."

Kevin groaned in frustration. If his little ignorant sister said they had a problem then, it probably meant a big one.

" What is it? " He said in a deep hoarse tone, sending shivers down the spine of the woman he was talking to.

She was a woman in her early 20's. And she was standing in front of a bar looking anxious. She didn't like the tone of her older brother. It sounded like, he was terribly irritated. And she was calculating whether to tell him or not.

" Spit it out Madison Botlin!!" he thundered, jolting the scared helpless woman alert.

" P-p-Patricia and I-I went to the jolly...jolly life bar… And.." she gulped as she could feel his silent curses and death glare. Oh Jesus Christ help her.She was soooo dead!!

"I only wanted to comfort her, she said she broke up with her boyfriend... we drank a little.... but now she's passed out... and I don't know how to send us back home. " she gulped again.

" And s-some men want...want to take he-her to 'their' home..."

Kevin couldn't help but yell at her. " You darn kids, haven't I warned you never to go out this late at night!! I already have something important to do and here you are doubling the workload! You better make sure nothing happens to your sister. Else I'll beat you both to the ground!!" Madie felt like passing out from the dangerous amount of fear pooling inside her body.

He took in a breath to calm himself,"God!!! Keep her safe , I will be there in a moment."

"But--" Kevin hanged up.

These his siblings will be the death of his him. He looked through the review mirror at the teenager who looked around Linda's kids age through the review mirror. He let out a deep sigh.

Soon his car arrived at the gates of his girlfriend, Linda. The gates weren't locked yet. Great! Looks like they haven't gone to bed yet.

He opened them and went towards the beautifully carved black door . And knocked on it . Soon ,a really handsome boy opened the door. Handsome? He was gorgeous. His short natural curly hair and black irised eyes made girls stare into them like idiots, and his perfectly shaped body was to die for

Kyle smiled when he saw who it was, but when he saw that he was carrying someone,he raised a brow. " Uncle Kevin--"

"Kyle,where's your mother?" Kevin said thankful that they were truly not asleep.

" She's up stairs, I'll go get her.Please come in." Kyle answered as he opened the door for him to enter. His eyes fixed on what he was carrying. He was carrying a girl his age.

Once he was in, Kyle closed the door and ran upstairs to call his mother. Meanwhile, Kevin rushed towards the couch where a beautiful brown skinned girl sat, oblivious to his presence.

Her full lips were pouted and her beautiful black braids fell over her shoulders as she had bent over looking anxiously at her phone.

"Kelly! Please get up from the couch." He begged. The girl looked at the man surprised. "Uncle Kevin? When did you get here?? And who his that??" Kelly asked confused.

" Please Kelly ,move I'm tired" he groaned. The girl quickly got up and Kevin gently laid the girl on the couch. He now stood,his hands holding each sides of his waist,as he panted gently. He was sweating so much even though the weather was freezing.

Kelly was even forced to believe that he had ran two miles here. She looked at the girl he brought in a moment ago and froze.

Where had she seen this girl before? She asked inwardly. She was about to ask Kevin, when...

" Kevin?" . They both turned their heads to see a shapely woman in her late 30's , dressed in a bathroom robe.

Linda walked closer to her boyfriend, clearly confused. He had given her a ride to her house a moment ago, and now... he had come back? When she was close enough, she asked,"Kevin?... what are you doing here?".

But the man didn't seem to be concentrating on her question.He stared at her, taking the sight of her in. So beautiful,he thought.

She had the same smooth and beautiful brown skin as her daughter. Kyle was light skinned like the mystery girl,but there is no doubt that he got his charms from his mother.

He finally snapped back to reality when she mentioned his name again. He pulled her in and kissed her softly on her lips. " Barely an hour and I already missed you" he showered her with butterfly kisses as the teens watched with grimaced faces. 'Geez get a room',their minds groaned

" Kevin! come on.... we're in front of the kids" Linda alarmed. She then saw the figure lying on the couch. " Hey,who is this?" she asked again. Why would Kevin bring a stranger to my home?

Kevin let go her and cleared his throat,"You don't know her?" .

"No" ,she said shaking her head. She walked round the couch to get a closer to her face. She bent and cleared the wet strands of hair that had fallen on her face.

She gasped when she realized it was a girl around Kelly and Kyle's age. And she had the same skin color as Kyle. She was a beauty with that face.She looked beautiful as she looked unwell.

She hadn't met this girl before, but it seemed she had seen her somewhere. " I saved her. she was nearly hit by a truck--"

"What?!!" Linda turned to clearly shocked. "Yeah. I don't know how she got there,but I think she was on her way to see you .She said your name when I asked her questions. Are you sure you don't know her?" Linda looked at her twin kids who also looked at her back.

They looked as puzzled as she was, except that it was as if they were reconsidering the fact that they hadn't seen her before. It seemed they knew her,but couldn't figure out where.

Kelly walked to where her mother was standing and crouched down to look at the sleeping beauty. She narrowed her gaze still trying to jog her memory. Come on Kelly Renzo, you can feel it.

You know you know her...Fair skin,Beautiful heart shaped lips,brown long hair and her eyes... She gently lifted her eyelids with her finger,and a beautiful brown eye looked back at her. She gasped.

"Esme?!!". All eyes fell on her.Kelly looked at Kyle. " Kyle, come see. it's Esmeralda! Bro, it's my bestie ,your girlfriend!"

Huh? Kyle rushed to look at the figure. Esmeralda?! It was really her.

"Ah...So you know her then."Kevin let how a sigh of relief .

Kyle felt his heart thump in his chest. His girlfriend was here and...so beautiful. Her face grimaced. She wasn't feeling good. He quickly gathered her gently in his arms and carried her princess like.

" Mom, I'm sending her to the guest room. Kelly bring a towel and a bowl of cold water. we have to stop the upcoming fever!" he said and the turned to leave.

Wow... he's like so in love with bestie even more that he saw her face to face. I wonder what bestie's reaction would be when she also sees Kyle. Kelly gleamed and to do as she was told.

After the kids left them alone, Linda and Kevin could only watch them in surprise. What just happened? Suddenly Kevin's phone beeped,and he looked at it. He gasped. Oh no! He had totally forgotten about his sisters!!

He turned to Linda," Love, sorry but I gotta go now. My sisters need me. Please take care of the girl. I'll check on you guys tomorrow. okay?" He gave her a quick kiss on her forehead and rushed out as Linda replied with an okay.

Linda then headed towards the guest room upstairs and found Kyle beside the bed where the girl laid.She went over,she placed the back of her palm on Esmeralda's forehead to check her temperature. Indeed she was having a fever.

Kelly showed up with the towel and water. Linda dipped the folded towel into the water, squeezed it lights and placed it on the girl's forehead.

Esmeralda's face twitched as she opened her eyes slowly. The twins waited in anticipation.

She struggled to open her eyes fully but she still saw the figure looming over her. " Aunt Linda?..."

"Shhhh... my dear, please rest" she smiled and the girl went back to sleep. Linda turned to her kids. They were smiling excitedly. It's really her. Esmeralda
