Your Name (Jikook)

When life gives you lemons, start a riot

Jungkook is probably the most famous person in South Korea. He's just so talented and so well-known that he just has to be the most famous person in the country. Nobody can compete with him. I mean, haven't you heard his incredible singing voice? Haven't you seen his amazingly good looks? Jeon Jungkook is a god among mortals.

At least that's what he thinks.

Not only is Jungkook the most famous man in Korea, he's also probably the busiest. So when he was told he'd be able to take a month-long break from any and all activities, he was absolutely ecstatic.

He had immediately contacted his parents in Busan to tell them he'd be coming home for a month. And now here he is, dead asleep in his celebrity van, about thirty seconds away from his parents house.

"Jungkook." His manager, Jin, nudges him awake.

"What?" Jungkook snaps. "Can't you see I'm asleep?"

"We're at your parents house." Jin tells him, rolling his eyes and ignoring the rude comment.

"Oh. Get my bags and meet me inside." Jungkook says as he opens up the van door and hops out, stretching his tired limbs before noticing his parents at the door.

"Jungkookie!" His mother exclaims happily, running up to hug her son tightly. He hugs her back with a smile on his face.

"Hey, mom. It's been a while." Jungkook grins as his mother places sloppy kisses on his cheeks.

"A while? It's been months since we've seen you in person." His father chimes in, patting him on the back.

"Yeah, you're right." Jungkook thinks back to the last time he saw his parents and realizes just how long it's been when it takes him a moment to remember.

"Well, it's good you're home now anyway." His mother smiles. "Why don't you and Jin come in now? We already made up your room and the guest room for you two."

"Thank you, Mrs. Jeon." Jin smiles as he struggles to carry Jungkook's three full sized suitcases at once along with his own small backpack of clothes.

"What are you waiting for? Go." Jungkook tells his manager, rolling his eyes as he watches him struggle. "I thought you were supposed to be strong." Jungkook sighs.

"Can't you help me a little?" Jin asks.

"No." Jungkook shrugs before pushing past Jin, making the older male almost topple over. "You're part of my staff. I don't need to do anything for you." Jungkook reasons. He hears Jin sigh in annoyance, but ignores it. He's too much of a good person to start a petty argument with Jin right now.

"Oh, we forgot to go grocery shopping." Jungkook's mother remembers suddenly.

"That's okay, mom. I'll go for you. Can I have the car keys?" Jungkook holds his hand out.

"You're gonna go? Are you sure? You don't want to, I don't know, change your clothes first?" Jungkook's father asks.

"Change? Why would I change?" Jungkook looks down at his own clothes. Clad in a pair of tight, black jeans, a white t-shirt and a heavy, leopard print fur coat, Jungkook thinks he looks perfect.

"I mean, you're dressed in a fur coat. In May. Aren't you too hot? Also, won't you stick out too much? What if you get attacked by some crazy fans?" His father frowns.

"Look, dad, fashion is everything. Even if it's hot outside, I need to look good. And as for sticking out, I'm a step ahead of you." Jungkook smirks, thinking he's seriously a genius as he pulls a pair of sunglasses and a black face mask from his pocket. "Nobody will recognize me."

His parents watch as Jungkook puts on his disguise. "Well, he's talented, but he sure isn't the brightest." His mother whispers to her husband, who just laughs in disbelief.

"Now, if I could have the car keys, please." Jungkook holds his hand out again. His father reluctantly reaches into his pocket and hands his keys over to his son.

"Don't crash it, please." He begs his son.

"Please, dad. I'm a professional." Jungkook rolls his eyes. "I'll be back."

"Do you want me to drive?" Jin asks suddenly, trying to grab they keys from Jungkook's hands.

"No. You're not coming with me." Jungkook turns away from his manager. "Alright, I'm leaving."

"Wait!" His mother stops him. "Take this list please. And here's the debit card." She hands him the list and tries to give him the card, but he refuses.

"I've got it. They're just groceries. They won't make a dent in my bank account, guys." Jungkook smiles.

"Okay..." His mother agrees reluctantly. With that, Jungkook exits the house and starts up his parents car, driving smoothly to the nearest grocery store.

Things go better than Jungkook had initially expected them to go as he shops. To be honest, he intentionally chose a shitty disguise. Why, you might ask? Well, Jungkook loves being recognized in public. He loves the attention.

But things have been calm. He hasn't been recognized. Probably because most of the population of this little neighborhood his parents live in consists of people seventy-five and up.

Sighing, Jungkook looks down at his grocery list again. All he needs are lemons and then he can go back home. He heads towards the produce section, but lemons are nowhere to be found.

"What the hell?" Jungkook says to himself. "No lemons?"

He looks up to see if he can spot an employee when he finally spots one. And luckily for him, the employee has a cart full of boxes of more fruit. Jungkook can clearly see that one of the boxes has the word lemon written on it in big orange lettering.

"Excuse me." Jungkook calls out loudly, approaching the shorter male.

"Hi, can I help you with something, ma'am?" The guy asks. Jungkook scoffs.

"Ma'am? I'm a guy." He scowls behind his sunglasses.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I saw your outfit and... I'm sorry." The guy stops talking before he makes things worse. Jungkook rolls his eyes.

"Anyway, give me some of those lemons." Jungkook holds his hand out impatiently.

"You mean these?" The guy motions towards the box awkwardly.

"Well, duh. What other lemons are there around here?"

"Um, sir, you're gonna have to wait until I can actually put these out. Give a few more seconds and I'll--"

"I want my lemons now." Jungkook demands.

The guy is taken aback, and instead of giving in like Jungkook's used to, he argues back. "Sir, I'm not giving you any lemons right now. You can wait."

"I can wait?" Jungkook repeats, outraged. "Do you know who I am?" He rips off his sunglasses and mask, staring the guy right in his face.

"No, I don't know who you are. Do you know who I am? I'm Park Jimin, and I'm in charge of stocking produce. If you don't calm down, I'm gonna have to call security."

"Well, Park Jimin, I'm Jeon Jungkook, the most famous guy in South Korea. Now, give me my lemons or get me a manager." Jungkook shouts. By now a small crowd is forming, but neither of the two arguing have noticed yet.

"Fine. I'll get you a manager then." Jimin retorts before stomping away angrily. Jungkook scoffs because how dare he be angry with Jungkook. Jungkook has done absolutely nothing wrong. All he wanted were some lemons.

After maybe about three minutes, Park Jimin comes back followed by a tall, lanky man with light brown hair and dimples.

"This is the guy that's been causing a scene over here." Jimin tells the man.

"Jimin." The guy stops in his tracks, eyes wide.

"Hello, you obviously know who I am." Jungkook turns his nose up at the two and rolls his eyes.

"O-of course, Mr. Jeon. I'm a huge fan." The guy bows repeatedly.

"Namjoon, seriously? What happened to taking care of the problem?" Jimin growls angrily at his manager.

"This isn't just an ordinary customer, Jimin. This is Jeon Jungkook. Don't you know him?" Namjoon questions.

"No. I have no idea who he is and frankly, I don't care." Jimin pouts. "Will you please do something about this?"

"Of course. What's the issue here?" Namjoon asks.

"I just wanted some lemons. He wouldn't give me any." Jungkook responds.

"Yeah, that's because I haven't stocked them yet." Jimin rolls his eyes. "I like to do my job the right way."

"Obviously you're not doing your job correctly." Jungkook retorts.

Jimin scoffs. "Obviously you're not either if I have no clue who you are. Famous my ***." Jimin crosses his arms angrily.

"I want him fired." Jungkook shouts at Namjoon.

"I-I'm sorry, but I can't do that, sir. Jimin is truly a wonderful employee. It's just been an off da--"

"I don't care. If you're not gonna fire him, then you'll never see me around here again. I refuse to waste my money somewhere that hires people like this." Jungkook gives Jimin a pointed look.

"Whatever. We don't need you shopping here either. Just take your dumb lemons and leave." Jimin rolls his eyes and walks off, leaving Jungkook to be angry all by himself.

"Here, sir. Take all the lemons you want." Namjoon tells Jungkook. Jungkook, still upset, snatches up the whole box before storming to the registers and quickly checking out. He practically speeds home and is there in no time.

When he bursts through the front door, he lets out a loud, annoyed groan. "Jin, get the groceries." Jungkook yells into the empty living room. After a few seconds, he hears a sigh and then a pair of feet coming down the hallway.

"Alright, alright. I got it." Jin sighs again.

"Jungkook?" His mother calls. "What's wrong?" She asks her son.

"I just had the worst experience at the grocery store. Mom, you shouldn't shop there anymore. There's this guy that works there. His name is Jimin and--"

"Oh, you met Jimin? Isn't he wonderful?" His mother grins brightly.

"Wonderful?" Jungkook scoffs. "He's a major asshole, okay? How do you even know him?" Jungkook places his hands on his hips.

"Your father and I are good friends with his parents. Don't say that stuff about him. He's a good kid." His mother frowns.

"Obviously he's been putting up a front around you. He was so rude to me."

"Really?"

"Yes! He refused to give me any lemons. Then we had to get the manager involved. It was a mess." Jungkook sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose. "I'm tired. I need to nap."

"Uh, okay." His mother nods. "Why don't you go rest in your room then?" She suggests.

"Okay, I will. I'll see you later, mom." Jungkook waves as he walks down the hall towards his bedroom. Once there, he quickly undressed before laying right down and falling asleep. He has to get his beauty sleep, after all.

Are we seriously neighbors?kill me

"Do you know who Jeon Jungkook is?" Jimin asks one of his best friends, Taehyung, as they sit together with their other friend Hoseok at Hoseok's apartment having their weekly chicken-and-beer session.

"Jeon Jungkook? Of course I do. He's only the love of my life." Tae says excitedly, his eyes practically turning into hearts at the mention of Jungkook.

Jimin rolls his eyes. "You've never met him, have you? I can tell you that he's not that great." Jimin replies flatly.

"Not that great? Um, obviously you've never heard him before. Just watch this." Tae taps away at his phone for a few seconds, bringing up a video of Jungkook.

Jimin watches intently and he'll admit that Jungkook is good. His voice is beautiful, and he's actually really handsome... but that doesn't give him an excuse to be rude.

"Yeah, he's talented, but he's an asshole." Jimin hands Tae his phone back.

"And how would you know? Have you ever met him?" Tae rolls his eyes.

"Yeah, actually. I met him earlier today. He came into the grocery store and made this huge scene over some lemons. It was ridiculous." Jimin sighs, taking a swig of his beer.

"Maybe he was having a bad day. You don't know his life." Tae crosses his arms defensively.

"Why're you even trying to defend him? You don't know him either."

"I know him better than you do." Tae pouts. "Hobi, tell him."

"Tell him what?" Hoseok asks, cheeks full of chicken.

"Tell him that Jungkook isn't an asshole and that he's perfect in every way. If he wasn't, I wouldn't be running a tumblr blog about him."

"I would say that, but I don't really know anything about the guy. I've heard his stuff on the radio, but I can't say I know a thing about his character." Hoseok shrugs, taking another bite of his food. "You're on your own with this one."

"You're no help." Tae grumbles, but then his eyes suddenly widen and he looks at Jimin. "Wait. Did you say you met him today?"

"Uh, yeah. You're like ten minutes late to the party, Tae." Jimin says.

"You met him?"

"That's what I just sai--"

"Oh my god. Does that mean he's here? Oh my god. Jimin." Tae grabs his friend by the shoulders. "You must take me to him."

"First of all, get off of me." Jimin removes his friend's hands. "Second of all, I don't know where he lives. Third of all, stop being a creep. You're twenty two years old. There's no reason to be so obsessed with some random guy."

"Random guy?" Tae scoffs. "We're no longer friends." He turns up his nose and looks away from Jimin, causing the latter to rolls his eyes.

"I think my eyes are gonna pop out of my head with all the rolling I've been doing today." Jimin sighs. He sets his empty bottle down and stretches out his arms. "I think I'm gonna head home."

"What? Already?" Hoseok frowns. "It's only been two hours since you got here. You promised you'd stay longer this time."

"I know, I know. I'm just stressed out because Namjoon gave that guy a whole box of lemons for free today. I need some alone time to calm myself down. Tae's not helping." Jimin tells him.

"Want me to drive you home?" Hoseok offers, realizing he's not gonna be able to talk Jimin out of leaving.

"Nah, I'll walk." Jimin waved him away. He stands. "I'll see you guys tomorrow, alright?"

"Alright. Be safe walking home." Hoseok pats Jimin on the butt as he walks past him towards the door.

"Bye, Jimin. Even though I'm not talking to you because you insulted me and my interests." Tae calls, making Jimin chuckle.

"Bye, Tae."

Jimin exits the apartment building quickly and makes his way three blocks back to his parents house. His guard is down, and he feels safe, but boy was that the wrong thing to do.

As he's walking and looking down at his phone, Jimin bumps into someone.

"Watch where you're going." A strangely familiar voice says suddenly. Jimin looks up and whoop-dee-doo, it's Jeon freaking Jungkook.

"What the hell..." Jimin sighs under his breath as him and Jungkook lock eyes.

"What--are you stalking me?" Jungkook raises his voice. He then covers his nose. "You smell like alcohol. God."

"Jesus, leave me alone." Jimin rolls his eyes.

Jungkook clicks his tongue in disapproval. "So this is what the common folk get up to. Drunk walking. Classy." He rolls his eyes. Jimin groans in annoyance.

"Seriously, shut up. I'm just trying to get home. What are you even doing around here?"

"I'm getting fresh air, duh. It's good for my pores." Jungkook crosses his arms.

"Pores? Gag me." Jimin runs a hand through his hair. "Whatever. Just don't talk to me." He pushes past Jungkook, walking through his yard to the front door.

"Don't tell me you're my neighbor." Jungkook laughs in unamused disbelief. Jimin turns around to see Jungkook walking up to the porch of the sweet couple from next door.

"Wait a minute... you're their son? You can't be." Jimin says dubiously.

"Of course I'm their son."

"But they're so nice and you're such an *** hat. How did that happen?" Jimin asks.

Jungkook glares at him. "Don't make me get my manager on you. I will."

"Go ahead. What'll he do?" Jimin provokes.

"Jin!" Jungkook calls into the house. "I'm being harassed by a crazy person."

"I'm not even a crazy person." Jimin rolls his eyes. "Your parents must be proud of you for picking fights with random people. Good job." Jimin says. He'll admit that he's feeling a little fight-y. He usually does after a few drinks.

"Mom, this drunk hobo won't leave me alone!" Jungkook whines.

"A hobo? Honey, I thought I told you not to talk to strangers while you're home--oh." Jungkook's mother pops her head out of the door to see Jimin standing on his porch. "Jimin! Hi honey. How are you?" She grins happily.

Jimin smiles back brightly. "I'm great, Mrs. Jeon. How's the hubby?" Jimin makes polite conversation.

"Oh, he's wonderful. I heard you and Jungkookie got into a little argument earlier." She laughs. "Boys will be boys. Jungkook has the personality of a seven year old boy."

Jimin laughs hard at that. "Mom! I thought you were on my side!" Jungkook whines.

"Honey, don't whine. It's unappealing."

"Yeah, Jungkook. You should really listen to your mother." Jimin chimes in, only making Jungkook angrier.

"Well, anyway, tell your parents I said hi. You should come over for dinner tomorrow."

"That would be great. I'll talk to them about it." Jimin grins.

"Great. Well, it was nice seeing you, sweetie. Take care." Mrs. Jeon waves happily before stepping back into the house, pulling her son inside with her.

Jimin shakes his head as he opens up the door. "How a sweet woman like that gave birth to such a horrible child, I'll never know." Jimin sighs.

He steps inside. "I'm home." He calls out as he kicks his shoes off.

"You're back early." Jimin's father notices.

"Yeah, I'm stressed out." Jimin admits.

"Why?"

"The Jeon's son is staying with them and he's a real piece of work." Jimin tells him.

"Jeon Jungkook? You know, he's quite famous. I heard he left home to go train in Seoul at the age of twelve."

"Twelve? That's pretty young. How old is he now?" Jimin asks.

"Twenty one, I think. Not much younger than you."

"Wow. I actually kind of feel bad for him now. No wonder he has such a horrible attitude. He was thrown to the wolves at such a young age." Jimin frowns. "Still doesn't give him a right to be mean to me though."

"What happened? Get into a fight with him?" Jimin's mother asks.

"Yeah, but I won't get into it." Jimin sighs. "Oh, by the way, Mrs. Jeon invited us over for dinner tomorrow night."

"Oh good. I was about to call her and make some plans." Jimin's mother smiles. "You'll be there too, right?"

"I guess so. Hopefully diva boy over there won't be. Knowing him, he'll think he's too good to have dinner with us common folk, as he called me earlier."

"Oh, he can't be as bad as you say. The Jeons are sweet people."

"Yeah, that's what I thought. Then I met the spawn of Satan."

"Oh, Jimin, stop it." His mother waves him away.

"I'm going to bed. I'm tipsy and tired. I'll see you tomorrow, I guess."

"Alright, goodnight." His parents say to him. Jimin trudges out he stairs before plopping down on his bed. Before he can think, he's out like a light.

The series will get more interesting, I promise. Part three is better.

How to use my lawn mower

Summary:

Jungkook meets Jimin's friends

"Jin." Jungkook calls from his floatie in the middle of the pool.

"What?" Jin answers, already exhausted.

"Lemonade." Jungkook holds out his hand, eyes closed and sunglasses on. Jin, annoyed, pouts Jungkook this third glass of lemonade before picking it up carefully with a grabber tool and reaching it halfway across the water into Jungkook's hand.

Yes, it's extra and unnecessary, but that's exactly how Jungkook likes to live his life.

"Hey, Jungkook." Jin starts.

"What?"

"Do you mind if I leave you alone for a little while?"

Jungkook pushes his glasses down the bridge of his nose to peek over at Jin. "Leave me? Why?"

"Well, I have some friends that live around here and I wanted to go visit them today." Jin shrugs.

Jungkook snorts. "You have friends? Okay, Jin." He sips his drink.

Jin sighs, standing. "I'm leaving. I'll see you later."

"Whatever. Bye." Jungkook waves his manager away. He doesn't even bother watching him go. Instead, something catches his eye next door.

See, the Jeon's backyard is open without a fence. The neighbors could easily walk through their yard if they wanted to, and that's exactly what's happening right now.

Jungkook pushes his sunglasses to the top of his head as he narrows his eyes in Jimin's direction. What is he doing? Mowing their grass? This isn't even his property.

"Excuse me." Jungkook says, but his voice is drowned out by the loud sound of the mower. "Can you stop mowing our lawn while I'm trying to relax?" He shouts.

Jimin glances over, sweaty and annoyed by the mere presence of Jungkook. "What?" Jimin stops the mower to look over at the younger male.

"Keep the noise level to a minimum, alright? Also, why are you mowing my lawn?" Jungkook asks.

"Your parents ask me to. It has nothing to do with you." Jimin rolls his eyes. Jungkook sits up on his floatie and pulls himself to the edge, getting out of the pool and walking towards Jimin.

If he didn't know any better, he'd say was kind of checking him out. As he should. I mean, Jungkook does have the body of a god after all.

"My parents asked you to mow the lawn? Why? I'm here. I can do it." Jungkook pouts.

"Do you even know how to use a lawn mower?" Jimin snickers. Jungkook glares hard.

"Of course I do." He lies he walks towards the mower and presses down the lever above the handle, and nothing. Nothing happens. "I know... how to do this." Jungkook starts looking around the mower for something, but Jimin sees right through him.

"It's this." Jimin points towards something. He pulls it out slowly, as to not start the machine up again. "This handle on a string. Yeah, it starts the thing. You have to pull it fast though." Jimin sighs.

Jungkook, without saying anything, tries and tries, failing each time. But finally, on his fifth try, he gets it and it starts up... only to stop again.

"You have to hold the lever down." Jimin reminds him.

Jungkook tries for the sixth time and actually, surprisingly, gets it this time. He momentarily forgets that he's supposed to hate Jimin's guts and he looks up at him excitedly, eyes all big and happy with a huge smile on his face.

"I did it! I actually did it!" Jungkook laughs happily. Jimin smiles a little, but the confusion is pretty clear in his eyes. "So now I just push it?" Jungkook asks.

"Yeah. Just push it and you can cut the grass." Jimin nods. So Jungkook does. He pushes the lawn mower and mows a small section of grass. After he finishes, he lets go and walks back to Jimin.

"See, I can do anything." Jungkook laughs, back to his old self again. Jimin rolls his eyes.

"Yeah, yeah. You missed so many spots though." Jimin points. Jungkook looks.

"It's called giving the lawn character. Ever heard of it?" Jungkook crosses his arms. Jimin rolls his eyes yet again.

"Whatever. I'm gonna go finish this. You go do whatever it is that you do." He sighs. Jungkook watches as he walks off towards his yard again, only to pull of his shirt and chug down his bottle of water. Jimin then returns to what he had been doing before Jungkook had stopped him.

To be honest, Jungkook is kind of staring at Jimin right now. Jimin has a seriously great body. He's lean and toned, and something inside Jungkook wants to lick his abs--wait a second.

"What am I thinking?" Jungkook whispers to himself, shaking his head. "I'm obviously going crazy because of this heat." He swallows hard, trying his best not to keep glancing over at Jimin.

Jungkook has been struggling with thoughts like these for a little while now. Sometimes when another super attractive idol passes by him backstage he'll think they're hot, or if he's watching a drama, he'll wish he were in the main actresses shoes. He tries to stop those thoughts though. It's weird and he's had like seventy girlfriends. He doesn't need to think that way about guys. Especially not Park Jimin.

"Jimin, Jimin, Jimin!" Jungkook can hear a low sounding voice calling Jimin's name before two guys walk into the backyard from around the side of the house.

"Hey, guys. What's up?" Jimin asks, wiping the sweat from his face and body with his discarded t-shirt.

"Wanna go do something fun?" The other guy asks.

"Fun? Like what?"

"Like go to an amusement park. I really wanna go." The first one jumps up and down excitedly.

"Tae, calm down. I'll go." Jimin nods.

"Can I go?" Jungkook blurts out without realizing what he's asking. He immediately regrets the words that come out of his mouth though.

"Oh. My. God." The one Jimin had called Tae screams. "Oh my god!" He runs up to Jungkook. "You're Jeon Jungkook."

"Y-yeah." Jungkook nods, unsure.

"I'm your number one fan. My name is Kim Taehyung, but my friends call me Tae. Please call me Tae." He begs, getting to his knees, taking Jungkook's hands in his. He presses the celebrity's hands to his cheeks and squishes them together. "It feels just like how I imagined." Tae whispers.

"U-uh..." Jungkook looks up at Jimin for help, but the latter is laughing so hard that Jungkook knows he won't be helping him.

"Tae, seriously?" The other guy finally pulls his friend off of Jungkook. "Sorry about him. He's in love with you. I'm Hoseok by the way."

"Nice to meet you." Jungkook nods at him. This is weird. He isn't usually awkward when meeting new people. It's probably because of Jimin's crazy friend.

"You seriously want to go to the amusement park with us?" Jimin raises an eyebrow.

"Yeah." Jungkook stands by what he has said earlier. "Take me with you."

"Ugh, so annoying." Jimin mumbles under his breath. "Fine. Go get ready then. I have to shower then we can go."

"Really? You're really coming with us?" Tae asks excitedly. Jungkook nods. "Is this, like, our first date?"

"No..." Jungkook trails off. "Um, I'll be back. I'm gonna go... get ready..." He quickly sprints into the house to get away from Jimin's weird friend before going up to his room.

He'll definitely have to stick by Jimin's side today if he wants to avoid that weird guy.
