Rewriting My Story

Chapter 1

When I opened my eyes slowly, an unfamiliar bright light greeted me as the tips of my eyelashes frowned in surprise.

I looked at my bed and all I knew was... it wasn't mine.

...****************...

My name isHave So, the peculiar lady who wears pants and uses sword. I often run around and is very carefree. Despite my shortcomings, I was described as the most respected person in the world.

With my rare blonde hair and blue eyes, I easily managed to attract any men, however, I failed seducing the grand Duke, my own declared soulmate whom I dreamt of since I was a child.

However, because of my peculiarity...

I, Hae So, soon rose to becoming the grand Duchess and married the man of my dreams. It was as if it all really was a dream... that I will soon wake upon.

Thinking about all of such things, I walked through our hallway and out of curiosity, I touched the wall with gray – no, purple color that seems to be rotating, pulling me inside.

The honorable knight seems to... have turned into a strange woman overnight.

...----------------...

"... where am I...?"

I shook upon hearing my own voice which were trembling, as if it was weak. My voice that was never this high-pitched and soft. I pushed my blanket away from me and immediately carried myself up in surprise.

My eyes wide open, wondering if I were dreaming.

"Why is my voice... no... my clothes...?"

As I slowly and carefully tugged the hem of my shirt, my hair fell into my shoulders which caught my attention.

My dreamy peculiar blonde hair... it has turned dull!!

'This couldn't be happening! There's no way...'

I closed my eyes and held my hair, pulling it, ending up hurting myself foolishly. I blinked twice and shaked my head thinking I should wake up soon.

My blonde hair that turned into brownish black hair is indeed not peculiar.

"No way... the Duke... he would for sure... divorce me!" My words slipped out.

I felt my hands were not full of scars and seemed like it never held a sword or any kind of weapon, weak like of a child's.

My hands slowly reached my chest which had indeed turned... smaller?!

I gasped for air and squeezed my cheeks wishing to wake up soon until it

everything to me. This is no dream.

"Haha... I must've gone crazy..." I mumbled as I stared at the huge mirror beside my bed.

Indeed this face wasn't mine. This body wasn't mine... and this world wasn't mine.

"Gosh... I can't believe I end up becoming like those in the romance novels..." I said softly to myself and hit my head on the wall.

"Ow... ow.. This reality... reality? Eh.... hahahaha!"

Had I turned mentally ill?

My blue eyes... it had turned green...

'So ugly.'

"Wait, was I calling 'myself' ugly?! No way, you won't do that, Hae So!"

I laid down my bed wishing that everything would turn fine after all.

"Jin-ah!!! Wake up!!!"

It was a voice of a woman in her 20's that automatically frightened this body and I unconsciously stood up, as if the original owner was controlling my body.

"Was that... my name?" I peeked out of my room and slowly opened it. It was poorly made so it made a lot of noises which seemed to have caught the attention of the woman.

"Oy, Jin-ah... you're late again." She sighed.

A woman with green hair and brown eyes... a similar face to mine. Seems to be the body's mother.

'The structure of this house for sure is weird..'

"Ahem, can I ask something?"

"Why aren't you calling me 'mama' today? Have you gone crazy? That's strange-"

"Who are you?"

The woman's soft face turned in utter surprise and she dropped the white mug she was holding. She didn't even move a bit.

"J-jin-ah... wh... what...?"

"Madam, move aside." I said as I swiftly cleaned the glass pieces out and threw them somewhere safe.

"You... did you really... forget me?"

I didn't hesitate to answer and turned.

Perhaps, I still wasn't accustomed to my voice that I struggled speaking.

"I don't really know you... and what's with the name? Mine is Hae So and... this place seems strange."

Her eyes weren't filled with surprise but with... regrets.

"What's wrong?" I blurted.

"You should take a school leave today, Jin-Ah."

She only said and turned back going upstairs, leaving me alone.

I'm actually glad she did. Because I had to process all this.

"Sigh... what a weird place...why does this place has no maids at all?" I looked around and ended up looking at the calendar.

"Weird writings but.... I can read it...?"

2017 March 7.

"... WHAT?!"

From year 1456 to... 2017...

I had gone to the future... a world that is very strange to me...

Indeed.

Chapter 2

I sat down the soft couch and placed my shoulders on top of my knee, covering my face with my palms.

I was shaking. I was afraid.

'How would I... live on as this woman?!'

I thought that I lost all my charms, I could no longer seduce any man, I could no longer use my authority, and I could no longer socialize.

If I ever meet her friends... her husband... I would rather die than do so.

'But I just can't be cooped up in this weird mansion...!' I thought with my gritted teeth. This will soon kill me for all I know.

"I can't stay like this." I said and stood up, gathering all my strength to my feet.

But then, I remembered something.

'OH.'

I can't run away. I don't know how They speak, and what's the laws and rules in this world. Because if I go out without any knowledge, I could be beheaded by the emperor.

"Oh please... not that..."

Of all the times I have been a daughter of an official, I saw a lot of execution of criminals who disobeyed the law.

And their heads falling off from their body was... the most horrible.

I sat down once again shaking my head in confusion. I want to ask someone for help they may think I've become crazy.

"And I... if we're a commoner...I'm doomed!" I gasped. If I was a commoner, I will suffer hardships and discrimination. I thought I needed to confirm it soon, so I stood up and looked everywhere.

My feet then took me to a place... a perfect spot... the window.

The fingers of my hands started to lift the curtain away from the glass window and my eyes saw a huge road. There were moving... what was that?

"Are those... horses?! Enemies...?! Oh no, I have to call this body's mom!" I panicked. I didn't know what to do. There were a lot passing by, and we are being seized!

I don't have my sword with me, so I picked up a stick in the corner of the house.

"M-mama...!!" I called out as I trembled calling the pet name of the mother of this body. I have to admit, it was cheesy for me to bear.

I heard rushing footsteps from upstairs and I smiled greatly. She would know the cause!

Perhaps, she could help me defeat these warriors riding a strange horse!

"J-jin-ah! What is it…?! Are you alright…?!" She asked and cupped my face, looking at me, checking for any wounds.

I pointed at the window and glared.

"We are being attacked. Those horses keep on passing by! We can't stay here, we're going to end up being killed!" I shouted.

I was so fired up, forgetting I am in the timeline 2000+ years from my original time.

A small laugh escaped her lips. She smiled at me and sat down.

"Are you really alright? You see them everyday anyway..." She said and laid her back on the couch.

Every day? Is this how weak our household is?

"Don't we have soldiers to fight for our household? Knights, where are they...?! Can't they move and protect the capital?! And why are you so relaxed...?!" I shivered. This place is crazy. Do they not care for their lives anymore?!

She then slowly frowned, and a clear worry showed in her wrinkly face.

"Jin-ah... are you alright? Are you sick? Have you forgotten everything? Those are not enemies... we don't have knights.. Did you read too many fantasy novels at night..?!" Her voice sounded angry but I know she was worried.

Why?

"Fantasy novels...? Are you telling me all those wild horses running are normal carriages...?" I asked and felt my hands loose from my strong grip to the stick.

(Author: Poor stick TvT)

"Why are you calling those horses and carriages? Those are called cars. they're used for travelling. Hey, do you need me to take you to the hospital" She asked me as she stood up and held my forehead, checking if I have a fever.

Cars? So they're technically carriages?!

"Oh! So they were carriages after all!"

I saw her sigh and shake her head, hopeless.

Huh?

Chapter 3

Everything was weird. The very second I told Jin-Ah's mom, She made me ride on a weird colored black carriage immediately with a worried look written on her face.

I was wearing a strange blue coat and had my hair untied. I was sitting on the comfy seat inside the weird looking carriage. And what caught my attention was my mom driving the carriage in a circular strange-looking thing. It looked like a wheel that can control the carriage.

"Must be expensive...." I mumbled as I pondered over the strange carriage I was in.

My mom looked at the little mirror hanging on the carriage's roof. I could see myself sitting and her staring at me with a slight awkward smile.

"You mean this car... ahem, I mean, Carriage?" She asked with an obvious awkward voice faintly heard from her voice.

"Well, I've never seen such a carriage in my life! Are we perhaps even greater a Royal Family? That's why a lot of carriages were there outside?" I asked as I leaned over the seat my mom was sitting on.

"Pfft... Royal Family..?" She laughed and paused, looking amidst rumination.

Her eyes then squinted and looked at mine. "You know, it's a funny way to put it." Her voice was shaky, not Because she was laughing. Was she worried... about something?

"What do you mean?" I asked and sat on my seat back.

"Maybe...? Who knows?" She said and laughed at me.

"Jin-Ah... do you want to go to school?" My mom gently asked me in a soft tone.

"No" I answered immediately. I hated learning since I was a kid. There's no way I would agree to a dreadful thing.

"But..."

"Fine" She sighed and only smiled.

At least she was kind of a pushover.

Just as when I thought we had gotten closer, and I almost acknowledged my new parent, I found myself sitting on an iron chair, a bed in the side and a weird looking tall woman with a long white dress writing something on a piece of paper.

"What's happening...?" I gave the two confused glances, and they sighed whenever they avoided my gaze.

Was something wrong happening? Well, that happens sometimes. 'But... it's not my problem.'

My problem is... how I get back to my body.

'My lovely handsome husband is there!! How could I just live here...?' I thought to myself, daydreaming and giggling to myself on the chair.

The woman looked at my mom, shook her head and sighed.

"Maybe... it's a lot worser than we had thought, Madam So." The woman whispered, as if trying to hide the words from me.

As a former knight, I had adapted to little noises, but my ears I got was strangely not inept enough to hear them. But I leaned slowly and gone unnoticed, to be enough to hear the conversation.

"It seems.... that your daughter is mentally ill. I recommend you to let us take your daughter in a mental hospital."

M-mental illness?

'What was that... just now?!'

I started shivering. Would I be exiled for being mentally ill? Or worse.... be decapitated?!

"I was just about to recommend that, doctor. I really want my daughter to be better and live a normal life...." Her voice sound saddened.

'If you are that sad... Just keep me!'

I badly wanted to shout but no words came out of my mouth. I was nervous, and hesitating.

I took a deep breath, Clenched my fist and became decisive.

"Don't you ever think of sending me to a hospital!!!!" I shouted till my throat hurt.

The two looked at me with surprised eyes, the doctor seemed to be panicking.

"Oh no... the patient is going on a berserk! Nurse, bring the-"

"No, I'm not. Can you please shut up? What's with me getting mentally ill...?!" I complained.

There's no way I'm broken in my head or something. It's just laughable.

My mom sighed and slowly held my shoulders as she leaned close to my face.

"My darling... I'm sorry for everything. But you should listen to the doctor..."

Fine. If that's what you want... then...

"No. I won't go there. I simply lost my memories. Furthermore, I'm not mentally ill. If you really want to send me then.... I'd rather agree on going to that school thing."

My mom's face went from 😟 to 😱.

(Author: LMAO)

"Then.... would that persuade you at the very least?"
