My brother Calvin got half paralyzed after the accident 5 years ago. Since that day, I have been working hard to pay for his medical expenses. I was an orphan when he gave me a hand and pulled me out of my darkness. I was brave, but now I fear a lot as if I will loose him, my only world. He used to call me Lin, so it became my name....

I am a journalist at XX Chanel. Recently, nothing special was happening for coverage. We were bound to find news for this month, otherwise we may loose our job. After all research, I came with the idea of covering an old castle near the sea shore of XY city. It was believed that the castle was haunted.

I was very excited but didn't know what was waiting for me.

It was 6 in the evening that I reached along with my cameraman Josh. The castle was huge, built with black marble and wooden rooftop. It's roof was shattered and stone thinned and obsolete due to passage of time.

The huge wooden door with multiple pointy spikes. I went to open it, I was shocked and unable to move. It opened itself, even there was no breeeze. I remember that creek sound that got me chills.

The door opened, multiple bats flew towards us and wild rodents beneath my sight. Josh was also scared but we dared to enter, calling god's name and chanting prayers. The castle was luxurious even though only tunneled were there.

Josh:"Those kings must have been well off to live in such a palace."

Me:"Yeah!! "

Josh:(in the gesture of scaring me away)"Beware of them as they may be still here, hahaha..."

Me:"You scared me to death. You dimness."

While I was scolding him, he became silent as a statue. With no motions, as if he freezed to death, no impulse at all. I went crying, beaten him hard but vain. I got the tintillating feel in my spine."I can no longer stay, I must go out of here,otherwise........"

It was around midnight. Moon was bright blue forming a dark shadow of trees out of the windows. All doors locked as if to make me stuck here....forever......

I was scared to death. My heart beating as fast as it could explode, sweat dripping down from my head and neck. It was too hot even in the midnight with cold breeze and huge blue moon. It was impossible to open the door. I kept on trying, using the branches of tree on the floor, but, in vain.

The clock suddenly started ticking. Dongs began to howl and the I started to feel chills in my spine. It felt like the clock was to tell me my death. I never felt this much horrified in my whole life. I was sitting on the floor squeezing my whole body that seemed to be freezed to death. I was unable to move, maybe I exhausted all of my energy.

I was about to fall asleep that I heard some footsteps. I was trapped in my own dilemma what should I do; Unable to move, scared and all alone. I wanted to go check if someone was there to help me. Still lying on the floor was me as if waiting for death to leave the world of suffering I was living in.

Suddenly, I heard a voice calling my name.... "Lin, li......... n, li........n......... For a moment, I thought maybe some of my crew came to rescue, but, what I didn't know that it was something waiting for me since thousands of years. I collected some energy to call out

"I am here, please help me. "

The voice started growing louder like he was near. There was a door behind me next to an old table with an old vase broken from edges.

The voice grew louder and louder and suddenly, stopped. Maybe, he was behind me. As the thought clicked in my mind, I turned back to see whether he was there.

As I turned back, I saw a tall man with long black hair covering his eyes was there. He was wearing a summer white shirt and black trousers.

Me: "Who are you? Are you here to help me. Are you one of my mate to rescue me. "

Him: (In a devilish tone) "I am not here to rescue. But, to capture you."

Me: "Why......? What have I done to you? "

Him: "You made me like this. You will suffer forever....... forever........ No one can save you, Dan.''

Me: "Please, let me go. I have nothing to do with you. I am not Dan, I am Lin..... Lin loke."

Him: "No....... You are Dan, my Dan... "

Me:(crying badly)"Please let me go... "

( After this, I passed out.... not knowing what was waiting for me after my encounter with him)

When I woke up, I found myself on a big round bed. There were burnt rose petals on it. Everything was strange but scary. There was a table on the right side of the bed, where a meal was kept. There were some veggies, bread and a piece of black forest cake. Suddenly, I heard something.

Him: (scary tone) I know you like black forest.

Me: How do you know?

Him: I know everything about you. You don't remember. Why? Why?

I was too scared and couldn't say anything. He told me to have the meal otherwise I may die.

I was also stubborn and denied.

Me: I won't eat, it's better to die. Why am I captured by you for no good reason? (still sobbing)

He kept on watching me with his dreadful red eyes that seemed to be full of anger and blood. Still, he was trying to persuade me. As none of his efforts worked, he pushed me down to the bed, his hand tightly pressing the pillow under my head.

Him: If you won't eat, I may have to make your brother back to bed.

I was totally shocked that how could he know about my brother. And, he was fine? How could it be. I was scared, still dared to speak.

Me: You are lying. He can't get out of his bed.

He has been paralyzed since 5years.

He stared at me like he was very angry. But, didn't say anything and released me. He turned his back towards me and was about to leave the room. I couldn't let him go. So, I tried to grab his foot. My hand went through his foot. Now, it was sure that he isn't human.

Him: You will know everything. I will tell you if you promise you won't leave here.

Me: Why(sobbing)? I don't belong here. I have a brother to take care of.

He turned towards me and held me up.

Him:The moment you entered here, the prophecy fulfilled. Now, no one in the world can recognise you.

I couldn't move a bit. It was totally unbelievable for me. But, I couldn't resist myself not to believe him. As if, there was bond between us binding is together even if we were different.

Me: (on my knees, Sobbing) I promise!! I won't leave here. But, tell me what happened with me and why you call me Dan. Please...

Him: I will tell you my dear.

We sat on the bed and he started with story he had. The most crucial moment for me, my life depended on it. How come I am Dan? Who was Dan? Who was the real him? Is he really a ghost? Was the thing 'prophecy' he talked about true? What prophecy was he talking about? Why the world can't recognise me anymore?

All of these questions were about to be answered. My heartbeat was increasing second by second. It was hard to believe what happened today. The whole day full of terror and surprises. It recorded as the life changing day for me.
