He taunted, his voice drawing closer. She squeezed her eyes shut, praying for this nightmare to end. She couldn't believe this was happening, begging silently for it to be untrue.
He roared triumphantly, yanking her out from under the bed.

Hazel cried out in terror as he laughed like a maniac and dragged her towards the door.

He sneered, and her body froze with fear.
With a gasp, She woke up, sitting up straight on her bed, drenched in sweat and shaking. She glanced around the room, making sure he wasn't there, relieved to find herself safe in her bedroom.

She whispered, wiping the sweat off her face, and taking a deep breath before lying back down.
The thoughts of the dream lingered in her mind as she checked her wall clock, it was only 4:35 am. She tried to calm herself down, hoping she wouldn't dream of him again.

She says, looking at me with a look of pity in her eyes. Great, she's playing cupid now. Jay is her cousin, he's 23, and is a doctor. Noah has been trying to hook me up with him for the past 2 months, but I've been dodging it pretty well. I'm not too sure about tonight.
Before I could complete my sentence, she drags me off the bed.

She said excitedly, making me sigh.

I speak, looking at her a bit upset because I honestly don't want her to think that I so badly need a man in my life. I don't, not after him.

She says sadly. I know she worries about me a lot, but trusting a man doesn't come easy for me, not after everything he put me through.
The only person I trust is Noah. I've known her since we were in middle school, and we stuck together ever since, just the two of us.

She shouts back, and I sigh, sitting back on my bed. Just tonight, Hazel, you deserve to have fun.
Running my fingers through my hair, I let my mind wander off, reminding me of how my life has changed, from worse to somewhat normal. And it wouldn't have been possible if it wasn't for Noah.
She let me stay with her in the apartment her parents bought her for college. Since I couldn't afford the college fee yet, I just work at a café not far from here.
I've been an orphan since I was 6. I grew up there, my parents abandoned me, leaving me to face this cruel world all on my own. I worked hard, studied day and night, got good grades, and got into a good school through a scholarship.
My train of thought came to a halt as Noah walks in holding a bunch of dresses in her arms.

I ask with a bit of hope, but she crushed it as she threw me one of her famous 'shut up' glares.
Noah walks to my bed as she throws the dresses on top of it and begins digging through them, inspecting every dress and cringing if she doesn't like the thought of the dress on me.

She says in a duh tone as I roll my eyes at her. She doesn't like my choice of dresses.

She says and shoves a couple of dresses in my hands, pushing me towards the bathroom, making me chuckle.
This isn't so bad, getting ready with my best friend, enjoying her company. I love her so much; she's my only family.
As Noah gets done doing my makeup and hers, I'm stunned. She made me look so pretty, and she didn't put too much makeup for me to look completely different but good enough for a club night.

I sigh in defeat as I walk into the bathroom and change into the 'dress' she gave me.
I look at myself in the mirror and gasp. My god, this is the most revealing dress I've ever put on. Even though it's pretty, it's not suitable for a place full of horny men and teenagers. I take a deep breath and walk out of the bathroom.
As I walk back into my room, Noah is already dressed up, and when she noticed me, she winks at me, making my cheeks go red.

I like this one a lot better. I normally don't wear tight dresses because they make me conscious of my body, but this one is so pretty. I walk out into my room as Noah looks at me with her mouth wide a gape.

I shout, trying to make myself heard over the loud music.

I know, honey bee. This is Black Wolf's club, one of the most famous ones.
Noah explains, her voice barely audible through the noise. I'm taken aback by the fact that we managed to get in so easily; this club is notoriously difficult to enter.

Noah exclaims, grabbing my hand and leading me toward the bar. My heart races as I feel the gazes of strangers on me, even though I remind myself they're all lost in their own worlds of dancing and revelry.
The crowd and commotion trigger my anxiety, I often prefer the comfort of my home to avoid these situations.
As we approach the bar, a tall, well-built guy in a black uniform approaches us. I assume he's the bartender, but his intimidating appearance gives me pause. Instinctively, I wrap my arm around Noah's for a sense of security.

Hey there, ladies. What can I get you?
The bartender's deep voice resonates over the music. His stern expression makes him seem even scarier.

He begins to prepare our drinks, and I let out a breath I didn't realize I was holding. Noah and I find seats at the bar while we wait.

I admit, shaking my head. The bartender's imposing demeanor still unsettles me.
A short while later, the bartender returns with our drinks. As he hands them to us, he winks at me, causing a blush to rise to my cheeks. I divert my gaze, feeling a bit flustered. I don't have a problem with being outgoing, but interactions with guys have always made me nervous.

from her laughing figure. She has always been so protective Over me.
As I reached the women's toilet I get done with my business and walk out, this place is packed. Girls and boys dancing all over each other, grinding on anyone that comes, couples making out, loud music, dim light and many drunk creepy dudes. The club is very pretty tho, the lights the decorations it's all so beautiful.

I jump and turn around to look at a tall guy staring right at me with a smirk on his face. He looked to be around 6 ft and well-built. And I bet that smirk would be a killer for many girls but in my situation, I easily get uncomfortable and then flustered.

I say and was about to walk away when he grabbed my hand making my heart beat 10x faster.
One that terrifies me more than dark is physical touch, it makes me anxious and scared for many reasons.
