The world of ROA is similar to our planet earth. Governed by humanity with peace and order. They live in comfort with technology like we ourselves.
On one unfortunate event their comfort vanish replaced by confusion and horror. The sky turned red during while the sun was releasing fiery surges of energy as if the world was being pulled towards it. The sun shined brightly whilst the bloody rain pour down with the scent of iron.

Sir! We have detected Unidentified Flying Objects around a dozen each with the size of a soccer field!
The man sitting across the desk frowned.
Alert everyone with the authority level X.
The man replied with a nod.

Birds surfaced as simultaneous rays of heat assault their flight. The vast of expanse of grass and trees started to wilt as they are seemingly being robbed of their life force.
Desert animals felt the burden of heat increased. Gigantic elephants fell one by one.
Thud!! Thud!! Thud!!
Predators alike their preys ran desperately hoping to find shelter to avoid the rays of the radiant sun. Some species were digging themselves a burrow.
The fresh water lakes and the vast ocean boil as the overbearing radiant light surfaced.
Nature was being defiled by the rage of the radiant sun.

Rallies engulf the streets, people shouted at the top of their lungs their agendas. ' Behold! The end is near!'
' Let us embrace the divine light!'
The people marched the streets. Like fresh meat willingly jump into the frying pan, they were being fried alive. Their skin were swollen red, their eyes lost its colors, their clothes in the brink of catching fire. They marched leaving one or two behind unconscious each passing second. People outside the rally were horrified at he sight of this insanity, some screamed their lungs out, some joined the march and fueled the human frying parade.
Panic spread throughout the globe. The authorities gave their best efforts to appease the panic fear in their respective domains. Those efforts were useless, words were hardly enough to deter the reality that the people see with their very eyes. The world was ending! It is the rupture! Humanity is nearing its end! Different people from different countries were losing their sanity to this unexpected phenomenon.
Every nation on the globe was in a state of calamity. A few nations went lawless in a matter of weeks. A nation became lifeless within a year. A dozen nations were left after a decade.
Humanity stood it's ground. We adapted to the harsh conditions caused by the radiant heat.
The radiant light attacked during the day, and cold breeze in the night. The night was exploited as the time of work and sleep was done in the day.
Much food and water supply was cut off. Farmlands inoperable. Technology was the only string of hope humanity has, through it, food and water were artificially extracted from scavenged materials.
Thankfully electrical lines were deep beneath the ground, electricity was still available and powered up the machines for food and water processing.
The world has change and humanity also has to change. Entertainment was a waste of time. The only comfort was food, water, shelter, and family.
Years passed as scientist and researchers racked their heads for developing technology that may prove useful for the remaining human populace to fight against heat and starvation.
Another decade passed…
And another…
And another...
Finally! Researchers have found that the heat generated by the sun is a good source of power, proving itself a hundred times more efficient than nuclear power plants. Technology received a huge potential utilization. But the problem was how do we use that power? That is why it was set aside early on. After it's discovery various facilities were built knowing it would be powered by a surplus of electricity. Facilities of different uses, heat-resistant equipments, domed agriculture, cooling systems capable of supporting a city by creating an artificial heat buildings.
Throughout this successive advancement, the hope of returning to how the world was before the calamity ignited. Geniuses arise and became the leaders of humanity. Fear subsided and was replaced by resolution and determination. People worked harder than they ever did before the calamity.
Children were viewed in a different light.
They were nurtured with comprehensive practical knowledge for survival and development. There was no time to play, time to slack, time to waste.
Those who did not work to their fullest were left out. The education system was strict but not cutthroat as the decision were made by the children themselves. Those who work hard was rewarded, and those who did not will not receive any. In the future they will have to fight for scarce resource, any reward they received were a sign of recognition which was compiled and recorded.
The death rate was multiple times higher than it was before the calamity because of unregulated diseases. Governments can't produce a cure because of the downfall of large medical institutions during the calamity.
Starvation was a common cause of death for those who were already in poverty before the calamity. Those who were not able to keep up were not given any resource and are left alone to starve. Some people even resort in becoming bandits to steal and kill for resource.

"Brother, let's wait at the edge of city x for further commands."
A man in his thirties shifted his head and nodded.
The city x is one of the three remaining cities in the continent. The city has a radius of fifty kilometers, it accommodates around half a million people. Living conditions are stable and praise-worthy in the center, whilst the slum dwellers lived like rats and cockroaches fighting to live for another day. They frowned at the sight of bones and flesh rotting as they passed by the heart of the slums.
They wore a set of heat-resistant military uniform which covers every inch of their skin and customize goggles to protect their eyes.
Their appearance and composure signifies their status as foot soldiers.
They can't help but break a sweat even with the straps of clothe receiving the brunt of the sunlight. Menacing rifles rested tucked on their backs burdened them every step they make, yet they march onwards without stopping while gritting their teeth and biting their tongue.
They travelled five kilometers to reach the towering sniper towers that situated near the edge of the city.
"Brother, look theres blood here and there. this area should be well guarded and maintained." said the young soldier with a frown while reaching out to his rifle.
"looks like we have an uninvited guest." The older soldier replied while loading his rifle.
Thud! Thud!
Ground shaking tremors could be felt as a gigantic cast of shadow approach the pair of brothers.
They gaze at the unknown creature with confusion and fear.
"What the FFCK is that?!" The younger soldier exclaimed while terror engulf his senses.
"Wyvern retreat to the nearest station of the appearance of an unknown being. Go now!" The older soldier yelled while aiming his gun to the unknown beings head.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
The bullets hit their mark. The pair gasp for air when the being did bulge despite being shot in the head.
PAK!
"Go now!" The older soldier slapped code wyvern and yelled and resumed firing at the unknown creature.
Code wyvern ran while stumbling a few steps in the process.
'FFCK, FFCK, FFCK!!' He ran desperately without looking back.
Crack!
His eyes widened as he heard the sound of bones breaking as if it were being chewed to fragments…
'Code dragon…' His tears were hidden behind the goggles as his body jolted further away from the Sniper tower.
The being with gargantuan muscles with a violet skin and a figure of a meter and a half looked at his parting figure, turned around and walked away as well…
"Hurhurhur…" The being snorted out of amusement…
