Hey, I am Emma Hudson. I have recently graduated from London High School. I am not feeling well; I am nervous. Tomorrow is the first class of college. Oh, I completely forgot to mention: I am going to study in University of Vienna. I have selected to study in this uni because of Vienna. It is the best university in Vienna. I always wanted to go to Vienna as it has a lot of history and is full of cultures. I am so glad that finally, I am going to Vienna. As a history student, I prefer Vienna over any place to visit.
Emma was ready to depart. The cab was waiting outside. Her brother knocked at the door. "Emma, hurry up, we are getting late. You'll miss the flight."
"Oh, brother, I am coming," Emma opened the door and pulled the luggage to the back of cab. Till now, she could not believe that she was joining Uni of Vienna.
After a journey of hours, Emma finally reached Vienna. She was directed to the hostel by a student from the student community. Fortunately, Emma got a room of her own. She was happy. She started cleaning and settling the room. The very next day was the opening day of university.
The next day:
Emma was the first to enter the classroom. She parked at the front bench. Obviously, she was studious; that matters. Soon, the class filled with students. Emma was the only silent one. A student named Josh was sitting next to him. He was damn talkative. Without knowing Emma, he shared everything about him to her. He also revealed some facts about Vienna which definitely amused her. There were only twelve girls in the class having History Majors. And ten of them are so spoiled that a person talking with them will catch the spoil-germ in an instant. Emma was not habituated with this type of environment. Many of the students had taken History not because they love the subject but because they had no other options left. Professor Lovato entered the class. The noise in the class turned into deadly ailence. Professor Lovato started writing something on the blackboard.
"Myth or History?"
What was that? Emma did not believe in myth at all. Her face was getting weird. Professor Lovato noticed that.
"Ms. ... New student, don't you believe in myth?"
Emma shook her head. She wanted to talk further to introduce herself but there was a boom.
"Ms. Whatever, if you don't believe in myth then what are you doing in Vienna?"
"The history of Vienna is full of literature but myth."
Professor Lovato made Emma feel miserable. He was way too strict for a student like Emma. "Meet me in my office after class." Emma nodded like a robot. The girls behind were giggling. "Silence!" Bell rang. The class dismissed.
"Hey, Ms. Studious, failed to impress Lovato?" laughed a girl walking down by her.
"Poor chap, better luck, next time," added another girl from the exit.
Emma had never felt so insulted and abhorred. Her eyes turned red and wet. She could not bear it anymore.
After class, Emma hurried to Professor Lovato's office. She knocked at the door but got no reply from inside. Wasting minutes wating outside, Emma opened the door slightly and looked inside. There was absolutely no one. She entered the office and left a letter on the table stating 'Sorry professor'. She left.
After college:
Emma was not satisfied. She was worried. Professor Lovato was not visible after class. Rick, the talkative boy sitting next to him had informed her that sometimes Professor Lovato visits the library to lent some books. Maybe, he was there. Emma could not stop her anymore; she went straight to the library. Fortunately ( huh, unfortunately), he was there. He was leaving. Emma met him at the exit. Professor Lovato was of a type. Jeez! He was looking 'awfully' handsome. He had unbuttoned first few buttons of his white shirt. His hairstyle was changed. The old black spectacles was no more there. His provoked eyes were playing with Emma's mind. Professor Lovato pulled her close and whispered in her ear, "Don't dare again to enter my office without my permission. If I found you doing that again, I'll make sure that you would not be in this university any more." He pushed her away after saying that. Emma was feeling dumb and freaked. She was leaving when Professor Lovato called, "Hey, you! Ms. Short skirts, take these books. It'll not help you but let you understand Vienna in a better way."
Emma carried the books to her room without even introducing herself. Hardly had she reached her room when a text arrived: Take care of the books. There are seven; if anything happens to any of them, you'll be expelled. How cruel can a teacher be? Dumb ***. Professor Lovato, a freak nurdy professor. "I'll kill him!"
Hardly had she read two lines when she dozed off. The History of Vienna seemed to be more like myth which could not succeed to capture Emma's attention. She was feeling low; she was going to study a subject with no interest. Weird. Emma could not focus at studies at all. All she remembered was Professor Lovato and the Myth of Vienna. By the way, what is so good in Professor Lovato? Why girls are killing just to have a chance with Professor Lovato. He's damn cruel for this. Though he was cruel, he was handsome. As a fact, he was the most handsome guy in the university. Maybe, in Vienna also. Emma was greatly attracted towards her professor. But she could not think of him like the others. First of all, she is not like the other girls; she is serious about studies and has to give up every thought of Professor Lovato. Secondly, Professor Lovato does not like her. But why??! And thirdly, he is her teacher; one would not fancy this love story between a student and a professor.
Professor Lovato does not like her; he hates her. But he is too handsome. No, no... No more distraction. It's final. Professor Lovato is an \*\*\*. Dumb \*\*\*.
Emma was really feeling tired. She did not want to face Professor Lovato. He was so rude to her that she could not withstand him. But she had no options left. Though she had managed Rick to forward the lecture and notes to her, she was not satisfied. She parked at the end after fighting for the seat with Maggie, another bitch. She knew she would doze off but how could she when she knew anytime a sword would be placed on her neck. Contrary to her wishes, Professor Lovato entered the class. Why don't he vanish? Uff...
Emma opened her diary and jotted the lecture. Thank god, Professor Lovato had not noticed her. It was until the end of the class when the bomb finally exploded.
"Ms. Hudson, are you sleeping?" shouted Professor Lovato.
"No, not at all," replied Emma.
"Oh, Ms. Hudson, you have surprised me," smirked Professor Lovato, leaving the book on the table. "I thought you would never come back."
The other girls started giggling.
"So, Ms. Hudson, have you researched on Vienna?" asked Professor Lovato. It seemed as if he already knew that Emma had not touched a single page of the book yet.
"Yeah," hesitated Emma. "I'm working on it."
"Then you must have come to know when did the University of Vienna established?" asked Professor Lovato.
"I don't know," replied Emma.
"So what are you doing in my class, Ms. Hudson?" asked Professor Lovato. "You may leave now."
"I'm sorry, professor," apologized Emma.
"No apologies accepted here, Ms. Hudson," shouted Professor Lovato. "I teach those students who are serious about their studies; not some... stand up comedians. Get out now."
"I'm really sorry, professor," begged Emma.
"Don't you understand English?" asked Professor Lovato. "Or I have to teach you that also?"
Emma could not stop tears coming out of her eyes. She rushed out of the room.
"Hey, Ms. Hudson," called Professor Lovato from the back. At that time, bell rang. Emma did not turn around. Emma was crying, sitting in the corner of auditorium when Rick called her.
"Professor Lovato is calling you in his office," informed Rick.
"Tell him," bursted angry Emma. "I'll not come!"
"Are you sure?" asked Rick. "He said, it's urgent."
"Okay, I'm going!" Emma stood up.
"Wipe your tears." Rick gave her, his handkerchief. "Best of Luck."
"Thanks." Emma left.
"May I come in?"
"Come in," said Professor Lovato slowly. "Close the door."
In the Office:
"You called me urgently," said Emma.
"Yes," said Professor Lovato, looking at her knees. The skirt that Emma was wearing, was little shorter than the previous day. Emma tried to hide her thighs.
"So, what's your decision?" asked Professor Lovato, now looking at the bookshelf.
"What decision?" asked Emma.
"You, studying history?" said Professor Lovato, standing up and walking to Emma. Emma was standing far away from his initial position, in front of the door. When Professor Lovato came close to her, she forgot her next decided lines. Professor Lovato was an inch away from her. "Professor-??" Professor Lovato was so close to her lips. Emma could not stop thinking about kissing him. In her head, she had kissed him thousand times already. Professor Lovato moved his hand forward and closed the door slowly. He was playing with her head. He was still standing close to Emma when he asked, "Why are you perspiring, Ms. Hudson?"
