An Outsider's Journey
Chapter 1
Staring at her reflection, she couldn't help but laugh out loud.
Serena
And here I was expecting not to see a familiar face
Serena woke up in an unfamiliar place. The room she woke up in is spacious and fancy, not like the room she had before sleeping.
Looking around she saw a vanity table. Planning to see what she look liked she tried to walk towards there, however someone knocked on the door.
Mathilda
My lady, may I come in?
Mathilda
It's Mathilda, my lady
Serena's mind was in chaos, being thrown in a body of someone else and having to deal with people she doesn't know is scary and exhausting.
Mathilda, a middle age woman, opened the door and revealed herself.
Mathilda
What would you like to wear today, my lady?
Having heard no answer, Mathilda look over at Serena.
She was shocked to see the horror and fear in Serena's eye.
Following her gaze, she saw the open door. However nothing was there.
Mathilda
My lady, what are you talking about?
Mathilda who saw that Serena was paling, rushed to her side and tried to help her calm down.
Serena's vision was still stuck behind the door, the black figure behind it was covered with three eyes. One at chest and the other two at each of its hand. The figure raised its hand and pointed behind her.
While trying to follow what the now melting figure is pointing at. A black figure with nothing but a smile on its face suddenly appeared in front of her, causing her to pass out from shock.
Chapter 2
After Serena fainted, Mathilda called a doctor.
Mathilda
Is there something wrong with my lady's health?
Owen
There is nothing wrong as her body is healthy, did something happened before she fainted?
Mathilda
Before my lady fainted, she looked like she saw something scary. However, when I tried to look at what she was seeing. There was nothing there.
Owen
I see, she likely fainted due to stress
Owen
I'll give you a list on how to manage and avoid stress
Owen
Try not to put too much pressure on her
Mathilda
Alright, thank you
Owen
Then I shall take my leave now, call me if something happens
Mathilda
Then I'll guide you out
After guiding Owen out, Mathilda remember something.
Mathilda
The door... I closed it before
She remembered closing the door, however looking back on her memory. The door seemed to opened itself that time.
Coming to a realization, she rushed to Serena's room.
Barging inside Serena's room, she saw nothing. But the air in the room felt unsettling.
Trying to calm herself down, she sat near Serena's bed.
As hour pass by. The golden light the sun emits gradually change. Replacing the sun the moon shines brightly through the night.
However, the usual moon is nowhere to be found. Instead infront of them shows a moon that resembles blood.
That night was the start of a new beginning for the kingdom of Olethros.
Looking at the silhouette infront of her, she knew who this is.
Thousands of thoughts are running inside of Serena's head.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean too...
The calm silhouette she was talking to suddenly change. Now the thing infront of her was no longer human. Instead it turn to a white floating ball with eyes everywhere.
Not wasting time, the monster launch towards her.
When Serena opened her eyes she was back in the unknown room. Looking around she saw Mathilda who was sleeping near her.
Sweating, she pinch herself and tried to calm herself down.
It hurts, my head-... i can't breathe...
Clutching her head, memories started to pop up in her head.
Waking up, Mathilda saw Serena having a panick attack and sweating profusely.
Mathilda
It's okay my lady, I'm here. Follow my voice.
Following her instruction, Serena gradually calm down.
After making sure, she was feeling a bit better. Mathilda went to get some towel and water.
Mathilda
I'll get some towel and water for you, my lady. Please wait here.
Chapter 3
After Mathilda left, Serena sorted her thoughts. The memory she received wasn't her own or this body's memory. The owner of it was an unknown girl.

The owner of the memories asked the boy infront of her.

It's not like I'm using this as a character, I'm just going to use this as a background.

Did the real Serena also experienced this?
Serena's thought was interupted by a loud howling sound.
Startled by this, her gaze tried to find the source of the sudden sound.
While observing the room, she saw an open balcony. Seeing this, she walked near the door of the balcony.
Having a full view of what the outside look like, she saw a wolf.
But setting aside it's beauty, the gloomy and distressing feeling cannot be ignored.
Serena
It's getting cold...
Turning around, she saw a black figure again. This time the figure only have a crying eyes and nothing else.
Trying not to panick, Serena took a deep breath and walked to the bed.
While doing this, the figure followed her and stood near the bed.
Ignoring the figure, she laid on her bed and tried to sleep the night away.
A few minutes pass by and the figure started to move. It first went to the balcony door to close it. Then it went to sit on the chair next to the bed and started playing with Serena's hair.
Feeling this, Serena froze. Opening her eyes, she saw that the figure is busy playing her hair.
Watching this, she gathered a little courage to talk to it.
The figure looked at her.
For some reason she had a feeling that this figure won't hurt her.
Serena
I see, why are you here?
The figure pointed at her.
The figure only looked at her.
Did the real Serena kill them?
But seeing how carefree the figure is, that doesn't seem to be the case.
Serena
Did I do something t-
The door opened and revealed Mathilda.
Mathilda
Sorry I was late my lady.
Serena
It's okay, did something happen?
Mathilda
Nothing happened my lady...
Seeing how she's profusely sweating, she could only guess that something did happen.
Mathilda
Right my lady, here are some towel and water for you to drink.
Looking back at the chair, the figure she was talking to was now nowhere to be seen.
Mathilda
Did something happen while I was away my lady?
Serena
No, nothing happened...
Mathilda
I see. Since it is already dark, are you going to sleep now my lady?
She didn't feel tired yet, but if she will be left alone. That might help her sort out her thoughts.
Mathilda
Okay my lady. Then I shall be in the room next to you, feel free to call me my anytime.
Mathilda
Then have a good night my lady.
