The cars roll down the road. The royals were visiting packs seeking out the mate for the young prince.

"Do I have to look now?" Prince Edwards whined. For a 18 year old he's such a brat.

"Stop the whining," Queen Alizandra scowled.

"But Graham is 30 and he's still mateless."

"Edward don't speak of that again!"

"Sorry mother." He sulk all the way to the Red moon pack.

Alpha Alexander and Luna Lucy waited with Beta Chad at the front of the alpha house. The two cars came through the iron gate and stop. The doors open and Prince Edward was the first to get out and all the females start swooning over him.

Pity they don't know he's a royal brat.

"Welcome your Highnesses to Red Moon pack. It's an honor to have you here with us today."

"Alpha Alexander you're too kind. Edward go look around."

Edward huff and walk away with a trail of girls behind him.

"A charmer isn't he?"

"Not to be rude but I'm glad he isn't the king."

"Me too."

"This way." They enter the pack house that was busier than normal.

"You miss a spot you brat!"

"Oh dear!"

"Linda what are you doing?!"

"Alpha."

Queen Alejandra help the boy up. "Is this how you treat your pack members Alpha Alexander?"

"No! No! It's just a misunderstanding."

"Are you OK dear?"

"I'm OK. I'm used to it. Now please excuse me Your Majesty."

"Alpha Alexander I would like to take this young man back with me. He'll be good for Graham."

"We have better Your Majesty."

"Nonsense. We'll be taking our leave now."

"You just got here."

"We will be going now. Have a nice day. Come in now dear."

Alpha Alexander was silently fuming. His one chance of getting his daughter in royal family just gone like that.

"This can't be happening."

"Mother why are we leaving?"

"There's something wrong with this pack."

They got into the car and left the pack.

"What is your name dear?"

"Apollo."

"You're so skinny. Don't they feed you enough? Where are your parents?"

"Mom stop pressuring him. I'm your new big brother. It's hard being the little one."

"Stop the yapping."

"So where are you parents?"

"My mother died when I was four and my father is...my father is Alpha Alexander."

"What?!" Prince Edwards looks at his mother with the most horrifying look.

"And he treats you like that? I'll let Graham deal with him. He's unbelievable!"

Apollo sit silently as he listened to them. He never considered Alpha Alexander a father before and he doesn't plan to start now. Alpha Alexander himself doesn't know he has a son and Apollo plan to let it stay that way. He does not need him to start using him like he is using his daughter.

They got to the palace and Apollo was in awe of the structure. Ancient yet it has so many histories.

"Welcome to your new home. Now I wonder where Graham is. He's a nice guy."

"Mother is lying. He's an asshole 99.9% of the time."

"Manners. You're a royal and we don't swear."

"Yes Mother. Come I'll show you to your room."

He pulls Apollo inside the castle almost knocking some maids over. Apollo apologizes on his behalf. He's just naturally a nice guy.

"You're going to love it here."

"Your Highness your royal duties need tending to."

"Later Roger."

"It can't wait!" But the duo was already disappearing around the corner.

"Edward stop running in the halls!" A deafening roar makes its way through the halls. Apollo was literally shaking from the amount of power in it.

"Oh no." Apollo hid behind Edward not wanting to feel the wrath of the king.

King Graham came around the corner looking super displeased.

"Explain your actions."

"Sorry?"

"Mate come out."

"Mate!" Edward look behind him and back at his brother. "Your mate?"

Apollo peeked out and straight into the dark eyes of King Graham the Great.

"Should I repeat myself little mate?"

Apollo step out from behind Edward with his head down.

"Edward your duties now."

"Do I have to?" King Graham give him a smothering look that could kill. "OK fine."

Apollo shuffled from one leg to another. "You don't have to be afraid of me."

"Really?" Apollo asked sarcastically. "You just reprimand your brother."

"We're going to have to fix that sarcastic attitude of yours."

Apollo blush.

"Come." He followed behind. He can't help being sarcastic sometimes. It's a defense mechanism. "Are you hungry?"

"A little." His stomach grumbled and he turned beet red. He didn't eat anything before the queen take him away.

"Your Majesty Alpha Alexander is here." Apollo tense up.

"What does he want?" Beta Cole look at Apollo. "Why does he want him?"

"Don't know. What should I do?"

"Throw him in the dungeon. Apollo isn't going anywhere." He starts walking again and Apollo follow him.

"Your Majesty. What can I do for you?" a maid asked.

"What do you want Apollo?"

"Anything without meat will be find."

"You're a werewolf and you don't eat meat?"

"It's cruel."

"Make him something without meat."

"Yes Your Majesty."

"Graham what is it that I'm hearing that you found your mate. Oh, Apollo dear. I see you've met Graham. Isn't he a darling?"

"He has anger issues." Graham growled. "He just proved my point."

"You're very sarcastic."

"I'll get it out of him."

"Wait he's your mate? This is awesome."

"Tell no one mother."

"I know but it's the best news I've heard all day." Queen Alejandra hurry away from the kitchen with a little skip in her steps.

"Stay here and they will serve you."

"Thank you."

Apollo push the plate away. He felt like he's gonna burst any second. He has never eat that much before.

"Want anything else sir?"

"No thank you."

He get up slowly as he was over stuffed. He has so much to explore of this castle. He only heard stories of it and now he'll be able to see if those stories are true.

Even in the day the castle look like something you'll find in a horror film.

He went down corridors that don't seem right to him. "Hey you! How did you get in here!"

Apollo took off running like the devil was chasing him. "I didn't do anything wrong! Graham help me!"

His voice echo off the stone walls as he run for his life. He turn corners and when the man start catching up with him he shift.

He skid to a hault when Graham step around the corner and into his path. He didn't stop fast enough and ran straight into him.

He whined as he paw at his snouth.

"Your Majesty. I'll get him out as soon as possible." The guard apologized profusely.

Apollo take that as his chance to get moving again. He was grabbed by the neck not too far off and pull back.

"Where are you going?" Apollo try to get out of hid grip but it was too tight. He finally give up because he was tired. "He's with me."

"My apologies Your Majesty." The guard bow before walking away.

Apollo huff and just hang there. He fold his paws and turn his head away. "Even in wolf form you're stubborn aren't you? Don't run." He set him down and Apollo didn't waist anytime running away. The irritated growl make him laugh.

He eventually got a far distance and decided he need to find some clothes so he did the next best thing. He snuck into a room. He sniff around and it smell of Graham. But his main focus was getting something to put on. He find a shirt and put it on. It look like a dress on him.

"Enjoying yourself?" Apollo yelp and turn around. Graham lock the door behind him and Apollo step back. "It's just us now with you having nowhere to go."

Apollo jump on the large bed and Graham simply pull him by the ankle. He fell right on his back. He push the shirt down, his face giving tomatoes and beets a run for their money.

"You little mate is trying to kill me early. You do look good in my clothes though. But yours are on the other side."

"I'm staying here? This is your room?"

"Correction. This is our room. You're so tiny."

"I'm average and you're just too big."

"I'm big in more ways than one little mate."

"Pervert!" Graham pin him down on the bed and a ghost of a smile appear on his lips.

"You'll keep me on my feet. Now get dress you have royal lessons."

"What? No! I will not do it."

"You don't have a choice Princess."

Graham get off him and lean against the wall.

"Now get moving. We don't have all day."

Apollo stubbornly get off the bed and stomp his way to the closet. He grumbled the entire time. He called Graham every name he can think of.

He stepped out of the closet in fresh clothes of dress pants, button down shirt and a pair of shine shoes.

"This is stupid. I look stupid."

"You can get dresses if you want."

"Why don't you wear them instead." He huff and head for the door. Graham shake his head and follow him out.

"Oh don't you just look like a prince. Is he treating you right?"

"Just like the princess charming he is." Apollo shot Graham a glare that has Edward rolling around on the floor.

"He's awesome!"

"Get up off the floor you uncultured swine."

"Ignore him."

"You have your hands full Graham. Good luck."

"Begin the lesson,"Graham said to the teacher who was waiting patiently.

Graham walk away leaving the three of them there. Apollo begrudgingly take his seat not at all happy about sitting around a desk with books and pencils.

He scowled all through the lesson and as soon as it was done he was out. He was hungry, tired and need a shower. Furthermore, he didn't have much choice in going back to that room because he doesn't know which ones are occupied and which ones are not.

He gets a cupcake from the kitchen and make his way to Graham's room. He eats, shower and then dive under the covers. He was very tired.

Graham walk down the stairs and ran into Edward. "Where is Apollo?"

"Beats me. He disappeared after lessons was over."

Graham sighed. He could be anywhere. He turn and went back upstairs. He follow the strong smell and end up at his room. Opening the door he stepped inside. He saw the lump under the covered and put two and two together.

He was sleeping.

He left him and head down for lunch.

"Where is Apollo?"

"Sleeping."

"Poor thing must be so tired. You need to check out that pack. Something isn't right with that pack Graham. He was cleaning when we got there. They were pushing him around."

"I'll look in it. But I think it's time Red Moon be removed. You're not the first to tell me something is going on there. I'll send Beta Cole to cataloged it tomorrow so I can see what I'm working with."

"Or you can asked Apollo. He knows the pack best since he grew up there."

"We'll see. I need to set a few new rules in the book too. I get to find out that alphas are having babies with people other than their spouse. Some changes need to be made."

Graham was sitting by the window on his laptop when Apollo woke up. He slept through the night so he must have been really tired.

"Good morning."

"Morning love. Sleep well?"

"Best I've had in a while. What are you doing?"

"Royal duties never sleep. Come here." Apollo got off the bed and walk over to him. Graham pull him on his lap making him blush. "Tell me what it's like living in Red Moon."

"Hard. Omegas have one suit of clothes, no warm water and we can only eat when all the higher ups have eaten."

"So no heart feelings when I wipe them out right?"

"Just take in the omegas. They are kind of my family."

"In three days a new rule will be passed in the book of life."

"Wait it's real? I've heard so many stories about it. I heard its curse and whoever touch it will die. Is it true that it hold uncontrollable power."

"Hold your horses sweet cheeks. The book is real and only royals can touch it. Pure of heart."

"Are you?"

"No. I've killed more than I can count. I'm not doing it. You are."

"Me! I'm not royal."

"Yes you are. The minute we lock eyes love we've become one meaning you my love is now a prince. A prince who never kill anyone and its going to stay that way."

"Do I have to?"

"For the sake of the werewolf world yes."

"What is this new rule?"

"An alpha can't sleep with anyone apart from their mate or they will die. It will keep the balance the supernatural world. An alpha who impregnate a woman that's not his mate will be executed publicly."

"That's harsh."

"Must must be done. We don't want what happen to your old pack to happen again."

"I guess you have a point."

"Well it's a good thing I can't have babies."

"Doesn't mean we won't be having kids. There's always surrogacy."

"We'll cross that bridge when we reach it but now I'm hungry."

Graham close his laptop and with Apollo in hand went to the bathroom. They brush their teeth together. Apollo was blushing the entire time. Graham was towering over him. It reminds him of those Manga magazines he read when he has the chance. He feel like he's in one of them.

"I'm done."

"Let's get you fed little wolf. Hop on." Apollo hop on his back and Graham carry him out. The guards in the hall couldn't hold back their shock expressions but the duo was in their own little world.

"It's so high up. How tall are you?"

"6'4."

"Oh man. That's tall." Graham chuckle.

"Good morning."

"OK this is new."

"What's for breakfast? This little man need food."

"Mac and cheese for Apollo since no meat for him."

"What's Mac and cheese?"

"You've never eaten Mac and cheese?" Edwards asked. He set his fork down. "You little brother has a lot learn."

Graham set Apollo down and he take a seat. "It smells so good."

"Try it." Apollo looks at it wearily before trying it.

His eyes widen. "This is so good!" He keep eating and they laugh how he dig in.

"Hey stop!" Graham took the fork from him when he see his face start getting red.

"Oh dear."

"What?"

"Are you feeling OK?"

"I feel fi..." Apollo fell sideways and Graham catch him.

"Fuck this isn't good."

He rush out with Apollo to the infirmary. Apollo's face was a sickly shade of blue now.

"Where is the doctor?"

"Here Your Majesty."

"He need medical care."

"Oh no he's not breathing. Come on ladies."

Graham placed Apollo on a bed and step back so they doctor can work.

He pulk at his hair as he saw all the wires they were pushing down his throat.

"What did he eat?"

"Just Mac and cheese."

The door of the infirmary flew open and Edward came in panting. "Wolf's bane. Someone put wolf's bane in his food."

Graham growl as he storm out of the infirmary. He make his way to the castle.

"I want all the maids who were in the kitchen in a straight line. Now!"

The maids ran to fall in line. Graham was fuming. "Who prepared the Mac and cheese?"

"That was me Your Majesty." A little maid step forward with her head down.

"So you're trying to kill him."

"No! I would never! I didn't even finish it. Someone else took over."

"Someone else like who?"

"He said you hire him personally."

"What does he look like?"

"Late fifties brown hair and he has a tattoo on his hand of a dagger."

"That's an assassin Graham,"Queen Alejandra said in utter despair. "Why him? He wouldn't hurt a fly."

"Take out the weak link. Mom can you stay with Apollo for me?"

"Of course."

Graham went to get ready. With the attempt assassination on Apollo he's gonna have to step up security.

He grab the bronze keys from his office and went down to the one room no one is allowed to go. He open the door and desend stairs into the dark abyss below. As he went down the torches lit up. "It's been a long time my dear,"came the gravely voice.

"Grandma. Sorry to wake you but I need help." He reach the landing and a single glowing beam was in the middle of the room.

"It's OK dear. Trouble in paradise."

"Can you help me?"

"No one can hurt the young prince Graham. His life force is join with yours. There will be many more attempts but love is the strongest shield of all. As long as you live and breathe my dear one, no harm will come to the young prince. Now go for he awaits. Now I must rest."

"Thank you Grandma."

The light dim and Graham start his journey back up the stairs.
