Watches discreetly as the new woman walks away, a smile appearing on his face not unlike some of the more devious ones Cheng has seen before.

She watches as Mamies eyes narrow, and purses her lips. Smoothing her face into a mask of unreadability.

Rising as the door opens, she finds herself staring into the same handsome face of one of the men from before.

I hope you haven't been waiting long. Min Ji stated. His eyes cutting Mamie with a pointed stare.

What a jerk. I know I was late. If he said who he was, I would have told him my taxi hit an elderly woman on the way.
She takes an unsteady breath, thinking of the terror on the woman's face before the vehicle struck.

Cheng watched as Mamie crushed a smile that threatened to form on her lips. Oh ho, this one is a fox!

Ann pushed on Cheng's back. What are you doing eavesdropping on this interview? Weren't you supposed to bring Mr. Ji some onboarding paperwork?
Cheng Gi
Ha, I haven't needed any before.
Ann
Are you really that much of an imbecile? Go get the papers, I will cover for you.
Cheng Gi
Cheng looks unconvinced, but goes anyhow.
Min Ji
He thinks for a bit, then decides. Thank you for coming in, HR will let you know the rest of the details.
Mamie
Mamies shoulders folded inward, upset her mouth had gotten the better of her. She stood, bowed respectfully, and left.
There's no way she would be hired by him now.

Min Ji settled into his office, considering the scene from the morning, before hammering on the intercom for Cheng.
Cheng Gi
Cheng jumped to his feet, knocking a stack of papers to the side.

Limping down the hallway, he bursts into his boss' office.

She had some paperwork I needed to get for her.

After a short walk to the gaming cafe, Mamie settles into a brightly colored high back gaming chair with a heavy heart.
Looking around at her crew, she decides to ignore things until she has calmed down and then will go back to humble herself and hopefully salvage the job. She couldn't afford pride.
