Anna's pov

The sound of raindrops could be heard as I was inside my dad's new BMW my

Mum got for him on his 35th birthday.

The music was turned up very loudly as we were all singing to the music while my dad drove.

I was in the back seat with

my parents in front. I was just 5 then. It was our favorite song playing I

remembered my dad smiling at me through the mirror.

Suddenly our moment of joy was cut short by a truck speeding straight at us my Dad tried to avoid it, but it just ran straight into us. The last thing I remember were my parents screaming my name "Anna"!!!!.

And then I woke up it was just a dream as always for the past 13 years of being an orphan. I looked at the time and damn it was already 7am.

I just got a new job and I can't believe am late on the first day of work "shit" I don't want to lose this new job. I hurriedly stood up and ran into the bathroom praying in my heart that I won't get sacked today. I did the necessary, got back into the room,

carried my bag and phone quickly.

I ran all the way to the bus stop at this point I looked absolutely disheveled. I crossed the road and stood at the bust stop waiting for the bus. I looked at the time just to find out that it was already 8:30am already I missed the 8am bus and the next bus will not come into 10am.

I couldn't wait and didn't have enough money for taxi, so I decided to run to work since the company was just 10 minutes away.

Ken's pov

Another beautiful day begins with me in the back seat making a call as my driver's takes me to my office.The biggest entertainment company in the whole of B city and of course I am the CEO of that company as the first and only son of the Andrews couple.

I believe That I get my good features from them too. But one thing I find almost impossible to believe is that as hot as I am I have never dated, I don't know I just find women so annoying and am usually surrounded by pretentious b*tches that just want my money so I just decided to stay away from all girls.

That's why my parents and the media thinks am gay. I have been set so many blind dates by my parents but it just didn't work for me l always get disgusted by their pretentious fragility to get my attention.

I looked out my window and saw a very pretty cute little girl all sweaty and disheveled running into my company, but her current state could not hide her beauty. I was captivated.

But I had to remind myself that she might be one of them, so I snapped out of it and put on my typical CEO mean, cold face and changed my aura. I was greeted by people at the door, but I guess she did recognize me as she just ran past me almost hitting me.

I was shocked because this was my first time not being noticed by someone especially in my company. I have never seen her before, so I guessed she was new.

I stopped in my tracks and shouted "stop there" she heard me and quickly stopped. I said only 5 words after "report to my office" and I gracefully left. I Could see the look of confusion on her face she looked around and saw the look of respect on the face of others, so she followed me from behind meekly…

She followed behind trying keep up. Since her legs were shorter she had to use more energy and she was getting tired .

She was so irritated and had the urge to ask him who the hell he was to make her follow him, but she decided to keep up and not ask too much questions incase he was someone important that she would not want to offend.

When she saw him headed for the CEO's private lift her eyes nearly bulged out. She knocked herself on the head for being so stupid as not only for coming late but also offend the CEO on the first day.

She quickly bowed and headed for the public lift which had enough people already waiting to enter that it would no more accommodate her so she won't have to wait till it comes back up.

Ken saw this and simply said to her "follow me". He was a busy guy and wanted to get on with his work for the day he didn't have the time to wait for a common intern. Anna quickly bowed her head and headed in right after him. She stood beside him and was busy nervously fidgeting with her shirt.

He didn't even glance at her direction but he noticed everything about her and that she was nervous. He smirked in his heart and evilly said "as she should".

He gracefully walked out of the elevator with her lagging behind like a lost puppy. Deep in her heart she was already preparing to be fired before she even begins which was the saddest part.

When they got to his office which was on the 36th floor. His secretary at the front desk stood up to greet " Good morning CEO" she said he once responded with a nod and kept going.

The secretary Catherine looked behind him and saw the scary looking cute girl and thought it was someone trying to follow the CEO and tried to stop her but he raised his hand and she stopped in her track and bowed and went back to her desk.

Catherine was surprised at what such a poor and dirty looking girl would be doing at the company and why she was even allowed in. Catherine has been having a crush on the CEO for the past two years of working with him as her boss.

In the beginning she tried to seduce him but his attitude towards her started becoming harsh which she noticed that he didn't like her or even noticed her and decided it was wiser to just stop so as to keep her job. She concluded that it was because they weren't in the same class.

As soon as Anna walked into the office she was wowed as what she saw.

Her mouth was shaped to an "O" this was the most beautiful and expensive office she has ever set her eyes on. Ken glanced at her and proudly walked to his chair behind his exclusive desk. He loosened his tie and gestured her to have a sit which she quickly did.

He looked closely at her and said "what is your name" She looked up immediately and said "Anna, Sir". He quickly looked through the staff book and saw her ID.

He looked up almost shocked and said "wait you are just an intern and this is your first day and you come to work this late?" She sharply looked at him already making up her mind to say her mind since she must have already lost her job "we both came into the company at the same time, you are as late as I am".

He was shocked at her daring attitude and answer he said" this is my company and I am the CEO I get to come to my office anytime I want and wait you are just a common intern and you work for me do you dare challenge my authority and try to tell me what to do in my company".

He felt so challenged and couldn't help but think what gave her the nerve. He has never been told that he was ever late in the 28 years of his life or challenged by anyone talk more a little common intern girl.

His interest was piqued as she didn't try to get on his good graces and was totally blunt with her answers.

He decided to keep her close so as to teach her a lesson of what happens to those that challenge him.

"Go get me a cup of espresso coffee" he said without looking up at her. He was going through a file.

She was surprised the only word she had been waiting for was "you are fired" but now he asked her to get coffee. Is she now his slave or what? , she inwardly smirked who does he think he is.

But she didn't let her thoughts show on her face as she stood up and asked him "how many sugar sir?". "Just bring it if I don't like it you will go prepare another one".

She was surprised at how petty he was but she didn't say anything as it might ruin her chances of working here.

She immediately left to prepare his coffee. For the first try she didn't add any sugar since he was such a bitter person so he shouldn't like sweet coffee , so she left for his office with the no sugar espresso.

She placed it on his table and said "your coffee Mr CEO". He picked up the cup and took a sip, it was so bitter and he couldn't keep it in his mouth, so he spit it all out splashing it on her white t-shirt. He couldn't believe such a cute looking girl would prepare a coffee so bitter.

As for Anna she was in shock she had had almost lost her last straw of patience. It took everything for her not to scream and scold him. "It's too bitter go get me another one" he said. She left the office stained with coffee all over.
